Safelite Staff said they could not come to her as originally planned because their calibration machine was not working. She was instructed to drop the car off and they required the car to have approximately 3/4 tank of fuel so the vehicle could be driven for calibration. * After pickup the vehicle interior was left dirty and rubber debris from work done and remained inside the car. * The windshield sealing/trim does not match the original factory appearance and appears improperly installed. * Within 24 hours of pickup the new windshield cracked. The crack appeared out of nowhere on the far right edge of the glass where it meets the car frame. When she returned to the same Safelite location, an employee* claimed the crack was caused by a rock strike; however, I have video footage showing the moment the crack appeared with no rock strike or chip visible beforehand. * *The first two employees who looked at the crack did not mention a "rock strike" and then a third staff member came out to inspect the window and used a flat-headscrewdriver on the windshield area in front of her, then claimed "a rock hit it". * I consider this poor workmanship and unacceptable customer service, and I request an immediate investigation and corrective action. I will be escalating this complaint to the Better Business Bureau, my state consumer protection office, and Allstate. I am highly dissatisfied, particularly after reading reviews from others here on Yelp.

Also, take your car in versus trusting them to come to you.

I got recalibration instructions from my car's manufacturer and it only takes around 15 minutes at the dealership and costs less than $50. Safelite won't let you skip recalibration and charged $500-$750 (it varied between quotes for the same windshield on the same car) and talked down to me saying I don't know what I'm talking about and the recalibration is really involved. They are either lying or are unaware of how to properly calibrate since my information came straight from the dealership. I'd rather spend more at the dealership and know it's done right than here. Also just to throw this in, the front desk person is very rude and acted very inconvenienced to have to do his job.
