When I turned the key to ignite the engine, the engine would struggle for a bit, and then when the car turned on, all of my alarms and lights would start flashing. This was especially embarrassing in public because it looked like I was breaking into my own car. This obviously seemed like an electrical issue, so I brought it over to my usual mechanic who shall not be named here. They said that they don't do electrical work and recommended that I take it to the dealership. As we all know, even driving past your dealership will cost you $100, so I decided to check around for local mechanics who do electric work. Dynasty Auto was one of the first ones I checked out, and the Yelp reviews convinced me to give them a shot. I brought my car in and just as I figured, it was an electrical problem. However, it was a big one. I needed a part replaced. Dynasty offered me the option to go new or used. I went with used because it would save me some money. When the used part came in, they immediately called me to inform me that the used part was garbage and that they wouldn't send me and my car out of there with something like that. I really appreciated their honesty because I've had mechanics put faulty parts in my car in the past. So, the only option was to buy a new part instead of used. Long story short, it took a bit for the new part to get installed and programmed correctly, but on the upside, my car is back to normal, and Dynasty charged me for the used price instead of the new one to compensate my inconvenience. Through every step of the way, they took the time to explain what was wrong, what needed to be done, and what steps they were taking to get it done. I can't stress enough how strongly I recommend Dynasty if you need work done on your car. They're honest people, they charge reasonable prices, and they beyond the call of duty to make sure your car is back in good shape. If you're looking for a new mechanic or are just willing to try someone new, have Dynasty take a look at your car. 5 stars and two enthusiastic thumbs up!

Warning: In my opinion, my experience involved deceptive business practices…read more I called Dynasty Automotive before my appointment and specifically asked two questions: how much the A/C diagnostic would cost and how they would determine what was wrong with my vehicle. I was told the diagnostic would cost about $120 and that they would use a diagnostic tool to identify the problem. After waiting about an hour, I was told they could not diagnose the issue unless I first authorized a $471 A/C recharge, and that I should just let the Freon leak out to see if there was a leak. I was effectively left with two choices: pay about $120 for a "diagnostic" that would provide no diagnosis, or pay $471 for a Freon recharge without knowing whether it would fix the problem, just to continue the diagnosis. Feeling backed into a corner, I approved the recharge. Only after the recharge was completed was I told the evaporator was leaking and given a repair estimate of over $4,100. Later, I was told the dryer listed on the estimate was only a recommendation. What concerned me most were the inconsistent explanations. During my visit, I was told the leak had been identified using water from a water bottle. Later, I was told the recharge was necessary to identify the leak. Those two explanations cannot both be true. I requested a partial refund because I believe the need for a $471 recharge should have been disclosed when I specifically asked how the diagnostic would be performed. My request was denied.

Hours after dropping my car off to do this test, they call me with an appalling list of things needed to be fixed in my car to the tune of over $3,500. However, he was able to physically show me that there was no leak. But the owner wouldn't take my no for an answer on getting everything they listed repaired, and tried pressuring me to scare me saying my car was a ticking time-bomb. It wasn't. When I came to get my car an hour after the full diagnostics I didn't ask for was finished, the owner said he needed more time to "do what he needed to do still." Slightly concerning since there was nothing we agreed to repair yet, and of course when leaving, my car ran worse than it did when I got there. As a girl alone in Florida as I finish up my education, it's so disappointing to see the lengths people will go to swindle others. However, the inspector warned that the car was unsafe to drive due to the risk of carbon monoxide leaking inside. We scheduled a repair start and end date, but the deadline kept getting delayed. The shop held the car for an entire month, and when we finally got it back, the results were unacceptable. The car sounded like a lawnmower, the housing that secures the rear bumper was broken, and I can easily pull the bumper back from wheel well. There were also duct tape residue marks and visible overspray. Initially, I assumed they had installed a cheap muffler because of the horrible sound. In reality, the flange connecting the pipe to the muffler had no gasket. When I checked, I can feel the exhaust pouring out of the joint, explaining the noise and, more importantly, creating a serious risk of carbon monoxide ent the cabin. This was the very danger they warned us about initially. I only discovered this issue once my son drove the car back to NY from Fla. Had I known the shop returned the vehicle in such a hazardous condition, I would never have allowed him to drive it.

They also said they would call me when it was complete and they totally did. Usually I'm having to follow up with the shop for updates. Pro-tip: call first, tell them what car you have, the issue, and ask them when they are available. I would not just "drop in" as they are extremely busy. Vintage Chevys, drift cars, engine rebuilds, and the overall feel of this place is fantastic. If you are looking for a no frills shop I'd visit here. If I was building a track car.... Means removing the knuckle off the drive shaft and suspension/rotor/caliper. I also asked them to replace the "forever" Toyota transmission fluid.
