A huge shout-out to AJ, the Manager of this O'Reilly's location…read more Due to the severe weather I was stranded at home for 3 days with a flat tire. Even though I have AAA and Roadside Assistance through AllState, neither one of those services would/could assist me. One service even said they would be willing to set up an appointment if I paid an additional $200! AJ came to my rescue! He stopped by my house with the equipment needed to inflate my tire enough to get me to Jensen Tire. He made the trip without any expectation of payment from me and wouldn't take a cent in payment. God bless him! Can't say enought good things about AJ and O'Reilly's at 168th Court.

Prices are moderate, the staff is friendly, and the store is clean. This location is easy to get to, as well. I can't say it's my favorite place to shop because I'm just not that into auto repair. No one greeted me, i didn't even see any employees around in the store. The prices were higher than my liking so I decided to leave. When I got into my car, there was an employee that was standing directly in front of the door of O'reilly staring at me. He literally had the meanest look and just watched me the whole time leaving the parking lot. It made me feel really uncomfortable and confused because where were you in the store and why are you trying to seem like you're guarding the place. It was a very odd situation and I felt like he thought he was doing something by watching me from inside the store. Like what was your purpose?

I must admit, we bought a car battery elsewhere and just came here to get the tool we needed to…read moreinstall the battery ourselves. Easy, peasy. Well...not really so easy after all. Hubby had some troubles getting the battery swapped. I'm not very savvy about cars, so I can't tell you exactly what the trouble was. Something about the battery having been drained and the electrical system not allowing us to do ...whatever was needed. So Hubby went back into the store to see if the clerk had any ideas. Not content to simply stand behind the counter and offer suggestions, the clerk came out to our car and spent several minutes trying different things with Hubby. Ultimately, the solution involved some sort of safety switch hidden someplace no sane person would normally think of looking. While the clerk located and pushed the safety thingie, Hubby was able to get the car started. It seemed easy, but only if you know about the super-secret button. The clerk was very kind, very generous with his time, and very patient. Automotive stores all seem to be pretty much the same, really. But employees who care and are knowledgeable and patient are what makes this one stand out.

I called back and after 10+ rings he finally answered..knowing it was me, didn't say hello, just impatiently repeated the info (he clearly heard me say I needed clarification the first time.) I work with vendors and suppliers that work with this place (and work closely with one of the owners) and they actually recommended this place...and they will DEFINITELY hear about my experience. You never know who you are talking to when a customer calls...I imagine this will damage the business relationship they have with the owner who I work closely with. If customer service is this bad right out of the gate, you know this place is likely rotten in other areas. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! An extra 60 seconds and some kindness could have saved them from this review but tells you A LOT about a business.

We went in there to see if they had a part we needed, we asked if we could try it and then if it doesn't work simply return it. (We've done this numerous times with AutoZone as they are notorious for selling the wrong part.) He told us no, that we cannot return the part once purchased. I called up there to ask what their return policy is, and he could not give a clear answer. I asked if this is his policy or corporate policy and he would not answer my question. Finally, he agreed to letting us come back and purchasing the part and then return if it doesn't work. We won't be returning because for all we know he could change his mind again and not let us return. He probably shouldn't be managing a team if this is how he treats customers.
