This Valvoline put OLD oil in my car. I got my oil changed by them before I dropped my car off at…read morethe shop to get a minor repair fixed. I went straight from Valvoline to the auto shop. The auto shop told me my oil was beyond old. I called and complained to manager at Lusby Valvoline. He was very nice but told me he had video footage that my oil was changed. I believe they changed my oil but put old oil in my car because how do I go from Valvoline with new oil straight to auto shop less than 20 miles away and my oil was black as the midnight sky. I payed 109 dollars just to pay the auto shop I dropped my car off at to change the oil again. I will never be back to a Valvoline again. I have had nothing but bad experiences. I'd rather wait at a auto shop for 8+ hours to get my oil changed then take it this Valvoline ever again because I cannot trust they did what they were supposed to do.

Oil changes are something that I end up putting off because they are such a hassle. But my trip to…read moreValvoline last week made it easy peasy! I was driving home from Starbucks with my one year old daughter and out of the corner of my eye noticed a sign for a 15 minute, stay in your car oil change so I pulled a U-Turn to see what it was all about. There was a car already in each of the two bays that were open so it was about a 15 minute wait to pull into an available one. Once I got in there, it was a quick and easy process. I selected my oil type and they got to work. They also checked some things over like the lights, fluids, and tire pressure. They made a few recommendations without putting the annoying hard sell on. Another 15 minutes later and we were good to go. It was nice to stay in the car the whole time and my daughter was happy as a clam with her bottle and toys in the back seat. I used a $12 off coupon I found on their website and have since noticed that Val-Pack has a $14 off and there is also a 15% off coupon for checking in on Yelp. I was emailed a $15 off coupon after the service which I'll pass along to my husband. I'll be back again for sure!

Saved Me from a Costly Mistake -- Highly Recommend!…read more I live out of state and was considering purchasing a 2021 Ford F-450 from a , so I hired Martin's Auto Tech to perform a pre-sales inspection. Their thorough and honest evaluation uncovered a long list of mechanical and cosmetic issues that the dealership failed to disclose -- and ultimately saved me from buying a ticking time bomb. They found replaced front fenders, bumper, and hood with overspray and missed paint areas, missing mud flaps, wheel center caps, and antenna, a broken mirror, and brake pads barely passing at 4/32. Even more concerning were leaking front axle seals, an upper oil pan leak with residue on the lower pan (which requires the engine to be pulled to repair), and two open recalls that hadn't been addressed. Their attention to detail and clear communication gave me peace of mind and likely saved me thousands in future repairs. If you're buying a vehicle -- especially remotely -- I highly recommend Martin's Auto Tech . Their integrity and expertise are second to none.

Very female-friendly (shoutout to Jenna, the service writer) and they have shop dogs! Prices are so fair I almost feel bad paying them so little. The first time was to address an issue with my brakes. Two different shops had failed to diagnose the problem correctly. Martin's figured out a previous shop had installed my brake pads backwards and corrected the problem. The second was for what turned out to be a bad body control module. Since the module has to be reprogrammed by the dealer, they recommended I have the whole job done at the dealership. This cost them money, because they could have replaced the module and then left me to deal with getting it reprogrammed, but since it would be easier for me to get the whole job done at the dealership, that's what they recommended. Wish I could give them six stars. Did I mention the dogs?

I brought my truck to Dad's Garage in Owings for three relatively straightforward items:…read more * TPMS sensor programming * Tire balancing * Diagnosing an emergency brake-related clunking noise under load I had an 8:00 AM appointment scheduled well in advance, yet after TWO full days, the truck sat untouched until around 2:00 PM on the second day. This was a job that realistically should have taken a couple of hours. The TPMS issue was never resolved. Initially, I was told the sensors had been programmed correctly and that the warning lights were caused by incorrect tire pressure -- one of the most ignorant explanations I've ever heard from a mechanic. The reality was simple: the inner rear TPMS sensors were never programmed at all, which was the entire reason the truck was brought in. They eventually admitted that after the fact. Next was the wheel balancing. My truck has custom powder-coated wheels. Instead of using stick-on weights like the factory setup already had, they installed hammer-on steel weights on the OUTER edge of the rims, damaging the powder coating in the process. Any competent shop should have immediately recognized the proper balancing method after removing the existing stick-on weights. As for the emergency brake concern, they never properly diagnosed it. I specifically brought the truck in for a loud noise under load -- not the normal sound of the electronic parking brake actuator engaging. They dismissed the issue without ever meaningfully reproducing or testing the concern. To top it all off, they broke a wheel stud using an impact gun on the lug nuts rather than properly torquing them as a qualified mechanic should. Because of the excessive use of the impact gun, I now have concerns about stretching or cracking of the remaining wheel studs and will likely be replacing all of them as a precautionary safety measure. Between the damaged powder coating on the wheels and the wheel stud issue, I am now facing well over $1,000 in damages to either have the wheels professionally re-powder coated or replaced, along with replacing the studs they improperly handled. What made the experience even worse was my conversation with Mike, the owner. From the beginning of the call, he was defensive and adamant that everything had been performed correctly -- until several of those claims were proven untrue. Once confronted with the facts, the conversation quickly became unprofessional, including yelling on the phone rather than attempting to resolve the situation appropriately. Two days wasted, damage to my wheels, unresolved issues, poor communication, and additional damage caused while the vehicle was in their possession. This experience was frustrating from start to finish. Steer clear of Dad's Garage unless you want your vehicle returned with more issues than it had when you dropped it off.
