Also their counter folks know their stuff and you do not have to explain to them what you need. They get it. I asked if I could refund my new parts that I purchased and it was no problem. The receipt was several months old! You would be hard pressed to go anywhere else but United Auto Parts with that kind of customer service. A happy loyal customer l RJS

Walking into United Auto Parts feels like an authentic step back in automobile time!…read more I have a newer car so I wasn't sure it was the place for me but I was quickly reassured by their counterman that they have everything current for all model vehicles and if they didn't have it in store, offered to order it for me and would have it by the next day! The shelves are all extremely organized and the staff have some what of a family feel going on. Probably due to the mom and pop thing they push which I'm always happy to support rather than places like auto zone which are basically Walmarts and running Michigan into the ground as I type this. I'm pretty big on customer service especially when it comes to auto parts because they can end up costing a pretty penny. That being said I like to know exactly what I'm getting and wouldn't mind someone kindly dumbing it down for me, while not making me feel dumb haha. The countermen at United were MORE than helpful and ended up saving me money! All around good experience I give you four stars!

It was too painful to watch and left the second Hastings store in the last hour. I guess they don't want to sell parts because they do a great job screwing around and not getting business done. I won't be back and if fact I'll never go in their store ever again anywhere. I came to spend money and left went home, ordered the part from Napa and have it in less than 24 hours of ordering.

Unfortunately, they didn't carry them. Which struck me as odd. They have a sizable selection of serious car parts; you can browse aisles of transmission parts, which seems like things they would keep behind the counter, as well as many things dealing with auto repair that I would categorize above a "driveway mechanic's" ability to use - head gaskets, valve springs, rods... things like that. So I took one star off because they weren't able to supply me with a simple adapter that was easily found at Murray's Discount Auto, but they definitely get four stars for having some serious parts in stock. If you're looking to do more than a tune up, I'd suggest going to Hastings, and if they don't have it, then United Auto just a mile north on Gratiot.

Bruce has an affinity for the Grand National and the GM LS engines... that's his specialty! I love his ability to do high performance work as well as routine maintenance on your daily driver. Looking for the acclaimed and elusive shadowman Dr Phil to do your high performance tune? Bruce has the connect on that! I had a catastrophic failure where my C6 sucked a valve on a built engine. We had no idea as to what was exactly put into the build. Bruce did due diligence, solving the failure and correcting the improper build by some backyard jabroni. Bruce then sent it with Dr Phil and got a proper tune. Big improvement! Cost was competitive as always for services performed and did awesome work as per his usual! Having a good, HONEST, fair priced mechanic is difficult to find. Bruce is all that and a bottle of boost. He's even earned accolades from my father whom never trusted or used any mechanic in his life until I introduced him to Bruce. I trust Bruce with my baby, as many others do. You will not be sorry for any service performed at Aggressive!
