James, Avery, Andy, Dennis, Danny, Neil, and a few others have always been extremely helpful, professional, and courteous, and have always gotten me my parts as quickly as possible. The times a mistake was made it was always resolved to my satisfaction. If they couldn't get me the part I needed for one of my classic cars they always had ideas or suggestions on where to look. If you get demanding or rude you're on your own. Treat these professionals with the respect they deserve and you will get fantastic service.

Unbelievably disappointed with the C'ville Napa this morning. I wanted to support my local auto…read moreparts stores instead of buying everything online so I visited NAPA first on 12/28/21. We ordered two brake parts, anticipated to arrive before the end of the same week, although I'm never in a rush- mine are all long term restoration projects. Since I found out a snow storm was coming, I decided to grab the parts a day after their anticipated arrival, on 12/31/21. Only one part had arrived, again, no problem. I picked up the first pair of wheel brake repair kits only to find out they were the wrong size completely. I revisit the store a week after the other item was to arrive (holidays) and it was no where to be found, it is now 1/10/22. I asked for a full refund as they were unable to locate the correct parts (I already paid for 12/28). The would not refund me for the shipping of the item that was apparently never located nor shipped from wherever it was supposed to be. THAT SOUNDS LIKE A SCAM TO ME. NAPA can either refund me the remaining $17.99 I paid to have the one item shipped, or this review can stay up here permanently. The incompetence is overwhelming at the Charlottesville NAPA.

This place is super. I have an old vehicle (1986), and…read morethis is the place I always go for parts. The price is right, the sales people are very attentive, and they almost always ask what the problem is that you are having with your vehicle, and offer advice, and help you brainstorm on how to fix it. One time, I won't go into full details, but I had to drive my truck with a screwdriver. 1400 miles, with a screwdriver for a key. I didn't mind. It worked. The only problem was is that I was due for an inspection, and was pretty certain that it wouldn't pass with a key that was a screwdriver. No big deal, as I figured I'd just get a new lock ignition assembly and be good to go. Except they dont' readily make those for my truck anymore. THAT was a problem The guy at Fisher spent 10 + minutes helping me figure out an alternative, and even made a couple phone calls to people he knew to check and see if certain MacGyver type ideas that we were brainstorming to 'fix it' would pass inspection. Those other big chain stores just up the road that start with the letter "A" are dead to me. This place feels like a locally owned store, and has the service to match.

Each time, there were plenty of people behind the counter so I didn't have to wait at all and on each occasion the person who waited on he, walked outside with me and replaced the items on the car. As a woman in her 70s, I really appreciated the polite service.

So here is the fun of Advance Auto. So I got an email giving me 25% off of my online purchase and…read moreso I ventured to the store to make sure what I was about to ask for they had in stock. I was going after Weaver Gold Brakes, some DOT 3, and some Brake Grease. So Larry confirmed they had it and then told me after ordering it online it would take about ten minutes to come through. I said no problem ordered them on my phone and proceeded to go take a stroll around the book room. While I was in the book room someone bought my brakes that I had already paid for. So I went back ten minutes later to find Larry couldn't find my brakes, so we settled on having them brought in from another store and delivered within an hour. I said okay, I'll go grocery shopping which took 2, I know delivery science isn't exact. So coming back it turns out the delivery driver for the other store never showed for work. Larry asked if I would like to wait or go with a different set of comparable brakes. So that's what we did. He was so nice about it he even threw in one of those little brake grease packs. So here is the deal when going to Advanced keeping a calm head gets you all the customer service you need. I'll be back for more supplies but for now my Crosstrek is running like a boss.

Beware of Service Department - Always Get a Second Opinion!…read more On July 28, 2025, my 2014 Prius gave me a Hybrid System warning to pull over and have it checked by a professional. I was on Rt 250 heading toward I-64 in 93°+ heat, during rush hour traffic, and made the safe choice to drive to Flow Toyota instead of risking a breakdown on the road. Andrew told me to leave the car overnight for diagnosis. The next day, I got shocking news: Hybrid battery replacement: $3,291 Additional required repairs: $6,500 When I asked if I could just replace the battery now and do the rest later, I was told NO, that the car would not be drivable without all the work done at once. At the time, I was going through a horrific divorce, moving into a damaged rental home, and under extreme financial stress. I couldn't afford a second opinion, tow truck, or rides back and forth. I felt backed into a corner and ultimately donated my Prius rather than sink $10,000 into repairs. Later, as a former USMC mechanic, I reviewed the paperwork -- and was furious. The so-called "necessary" services were completely unrelated to the hybrid battery and would not have prevented me from driving the car: Fuel induction service + additive Coolant exchange (listed 3 times to pad the bill) Spark plug replacement (not due) Transmission drain & refill These extras totaled $5,008.12, NOT the $6,500 quoted -- and none were essential for drivability. After I emailed Flow Toyota, their manager Kyle did refund my diagnostic fee, but by then it was too late. I went from a 50 MPG Prius to a 14 MPG diesel truck, all because I trusted their word. Final thought: Don't make my mistake. Always get a second opinion before paying for major work. Don't let anyone pressure you into unnecessary services.

I used to be able to schedule maintenance appts through the Toyota app and now I cannot. I recently went for a state inspection and failed. I showed a friend who is a Toyota mechanic, with his inspection license a video the Flow Toyota service technician sent me and my friend told me he has never failed an inspection for what Flow failed my vehicle for. I was advised to get my car inspected elsewhere or call VSP about the rejection. I loved the convenience of Flow Toyota being close to my work and having the shuttle service drop me off is one of the reasons I stayed, but I will now be getting my maintenance done elsewhere. All of the staff are also incredibly nice, I've never had any complaints about customer service.
