I want to take a moment to recognize Aileen Exconde at the Milpitas KeyPoint Credit Union branch…read more From the very beginning, she has gone above and beyond to help me with all of my banking needs. She is extremely knowledgeable, professional, and patient, and she always takes the time to explain things clearly so I understand all my options. What really stands out about Aileen is how much she genuinely cares about her customers. She doesn't just treat you like another account number--she listens, offers guidance, and makes sure you're taken care of every step of the way. It's rare these days to find someone who combines excellent customer service with a personal touch, but Aileen does exactly that. Honestly, Aileen is the main reason I chose to bank with KeyPoint. Her dedication and helpfulness gave me confidence that I made the right choice, and every interaction since then has reinforced that. Because of her, I recommend KeyPoint Credit Union to my friends and family without hesitation. Thank you, Aileen, for all your hard work and for making banking such a positive experience. You truly make the Milpitas branch shine!

The requests were a bit complicated but still well within what banks normally assist with. I went to four Citi branches, two other KPCU locations, and one Chase branch with the exact same request. The level of customer service I received from Holly and Raj at the KPCU Milpitas location was by far the best. It was not even close. Holly and Raj are incredibly friendly and genuinely willing to help. The moment you walk into the branch, they create a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere. I worked with Holly multiple times, and she treats every customer like a close friend. This branch truly feels like a neighborhood bank where the staff know their customers and are happy to go the extra mile to make sure everything is handled properly. I would absolutely recommend banking with KPCU, especially the Milpitas branch. Large banks often feel impersonal, where every interaction is purely transactional and you are just a name in a system. KPCU is the opposite. They truly care about their clients and it shows in every interaction.

I would highly advise against using them. Their tax professionals are NOT knowledgeable, detailed,…read moreor trustworthy. The person Behnaz handling our tax return was a glorified data entry person, not a tax professional or CPA, they couldn't explain anything related to our tax return and had to defer to another colleague John and the H&R Block Helpline to answer many of our questions. If you have TurboTax, you could do everything they can do and probably get better explanations searching on the internet or using AI. We went to H&R Block because our tax situation changed and we felt we needed some more help navigating it. Big mistake! We paid over $800 for them to mess up our tax return and submit it with missing tax information. We uploaded all of our tax documents and labeled everything. It didn't matter, they forgot to type in some of our critical tax information and submitted it without checking with us, the missing information included our estimated taxes that we paid for the previous tax year. It was also submitted by them very lately and the information did not post until much later than when the tax preparer said it would it would all be completed by. Our tax preparer just said oppsie, don't worry, and laughed about it, and couldn't really explain the implications of it being wrong or submitted late, just kind of tried sweep it under the rug and get us to leave the office, which was pretty ridiculous and very unprofessional. The entire situation did not sit right with us and was very concerning so we reached out to H&R Block Helpline for help, got a piss poor explanation for their lack of detail in entering our tax information, and they just advised us to wait and see what happens and submit a correction if needed. When you pay $800+ for tax preparation services you kind of expect a little professionalism, tax knowledge, ownership, urgency, and understanding in the matter. Our tax professional worked part time, so it was very hard to get a hold of them, it was quite a bit of phone tag to reach them, and even then we never got any comprehensive answers from them, left even more confused than we started, and were often deferred to their H&R Block phone helpline for an actual certified tax professional advice which wasn't all that great. Because of the piss poor explanation and lack of professionalism from this H&R Block branch and helpline. We reached out to a local tax professional and CPA for assistance, without us telling them they quickly pointed out H&R Block missed our estimated tax payments along with a couple other tax fields that could have saved us some money. Quite a frustrating experience and I had wish I had gone to an actual tax professional and CPA instead of going to H&R Block where it felt like I got scammed and grossly overpaid to have have someone use an H&R Block tax program to plug in our tax information, which anyone can do. The H&R tax "professional" lacked any functional knowledge or experience to understand and explain what they were filling out and couldn't explain anything when we asked follow questions about the different sections of the tax return. We could have done it ourselves through TurboTax and we would have gotten it right and saved ourselves money, instead of paying $800 to H&R Block to have them mess up our tax return and stress us out about getting audited. Sigh. The tax professional was also very pushy and tried to rush us through everything. When we got to the part where we had to review and sign the service contracts and review of liability, there are numerous pages of contracts that need to be reviewed and signed for. She was trying to rush us to sign them without giving us any opportunity to actually read what we were signing for. At one point she turned the tablet towards herself and tried to speed up the process by signing for a couple of them without us knowing, and we had to stop her and have her go back so we could actually read what it was. Very unprofessional and unethical practice.

Awful experience using this branch…read more To begin with, our officer Jennifer Morgan made multiple weird errors in our initial escrow quote, and we had to request edits multiple times. During the process, there were at least two instances of Jennifer informing us of due dates/timelines after the point we could act on this information. I'm not sure how she considers telling us about deadlines after we've already taken actions and it's out of our hand an effective approach. Most egregiously though, during the process Jennifer emailed our escrow paperwork, including personal details, to an unrelated third party. I had to be the one to notice it, at which point Jennifer acknowledged the error but took no steps to correct it. I called in and spoke to the manager, Shelly Kirk, who seemed helpful on the phone and said it would be handled. Without going into details, the attempt to fix the issue wasn't foolproof, and when I pointed this out they said they'd pursue the matter. Over a week later, they've clearly dropped the issue. A major privacy violation with no sense of urgency to resolve it? That's a HUGE issue for a financial service branch. Highly recommend you take your business anywhere other than this business if you want any amount of professionalism, attention to detail, or to be treated like an actual customer instead of just a source of money for little effort.
