To start the loan process, I was advised by my local ACE store (7250 Fair Oaks Blvd. Carmichael, CA) to submit an application for a Payday loan online to make it easier, then I could just come into the store to get my loan. Well, I did as I was instructed and got "pre-approved" for the loan. Then I get an email saying I was approved and the due date was August 8, 2022. I also submitted my banking information online. I was told by my local ACE store that the loan would not be taken out of my bank account unless I DIDN'T PAY the loan (and the banking info was back up for the payment). I was also then told I might not be able to pick up the loan in store since I did my application online (ONLY BECAUSE I WAS TOLD TO)! After some misinformation and confusion, I went into my local ACE store and picked up the loan on July 13, 2022. Next thing I know I'm getting emails saying my loan is in collections and I start getting harassing phone calls from the Collections Department FOR A LOAN NOT EVEN DUE UNTIL AUGUST 8, 2022. After speaking to numerous ACE customer service reps, I discovered that ACE believed my bank account was closed. I explained that it WAS NOT TRUE and my bank account was and STILL IS open. Obviously ACE has some type of system error but nobody gave a darn. Not one person looked into this error to correct it and instead I get treated like a common criminal rather than a customer. I went in to the store today to pay my loan off THREE DAYS EARLY and the customer service rep couldn't find my account but found it under collections. WHY WOULD I BE IN COLLECTIONS FOR A LOAN THAT WASN'T DUE YET?? I can clearly see ACE does not care about customer service. I wanted to be a good customer and I abided by all of the terms of the loan yet ACE does not abide by their own terms. All I've gotten is the runaround and misinformation. So the loan is paid off. I had hoped to do future business with ACE but I no longer trust this company.

He definitely made me feel very welcome and comfortable about opening a new account. I've been with BofA for years, so it's a long process to transfer everything over, but SAFE has been amazing. I haven't been with them long enough to rate a 5 star, but so far, they are definitely a 4 start minimum! Only drawback... they still do paper deposits at their ATMs with no image on your receipt. I did really like that about BofA. Small price to pay however, for the benefits of banking with SAFE!

The campus is located on Madison near Interstate 80. Accessing the bank is a bit of a challenge when heading east on Madison, but is very easy when heading west. Aside from an attractive waterfall heading into the bank, the overall lobby is somewhat basic and dated. This is a rather utilitarian venue, but there are a few nice touches like free coffee and lots of staff support. I am new to the bank, so I cannot review the services, but they seem popular in the area. We were greeted promptly and handled the process quickly and professionally. If you live in the area, this may be a good option, especially visiting after work for easier street access. It is probably not worth driving across town with other credit unions available in other areas.

I rarely have to go in, but when I do they don't seem to know what's going on. After banking with them for 24 years I may close my account. The line is always really long which doesn't make sense as most people do everything remotely with payroll deposits. The recent website redo was a nightmare. It isn't user friendly. They also merged my adult daughter's account with mine because she opened it as a minor which required my social on it. 23 years ago! Her account has always been her own though and I didn't see it. She is 40 years old now and believe me it was almost impossible to remove my name. They told me she had to close her account to remove me but yet when we set it up I did it how they said to do it if I wanted to remove my info later. I went into the branch and we both called multiple times and we were told different things each time. After two months we finally found a knowledgeable person on the phone who knew what to do without closing her account. I was able to see all her transactions and could have made withdrawals. Crazy. They acted like there was nothing wrong.
