Best ADT Service Experience -- Thanks to Terrell Mitchell! I've been an ADT customer for several years and, like many others, have experienced my share of system issues. After spending nearly four hours on the phone this past week, I finally secured a service appointment for 10/24/25 -- and I'm happy to say it turned out to be the best experience I've ever had with ADT! Terrell Mitchell arrived right on time and was greeted warmly by my dog (a Border Collie/Terrier mix who has a knack for sensing trouble!). Terrell introduced himself professionally and immediately got to work. He quickly diagnosed a longstanding issue I wasn't even aware of and proceeded to resolve one problem after another. He was efficient, knowledgeable, and incredibly thorough -- replacing or restoring every technical component until the system was fully operational. I was genuinely impressed by his expertise and dedication. If you're scheduling service, ask for Terrell! Absolutely HORRIBLE company. They are literal criminals and steal money from customers. My husband was sent to a collection over a bill we never got. When I call to ask what the bill was for the representatives say they can't tell me because they already sold the debt. How can we pay a bill we never received? They are the ultimate scam artists. Avoid at all costs. Impossible to get out of contracts with them because they will charge you after the fact even if they say they won't. read more

I called back to speak with someone because I can admit I'm behind on my bill the guy I spoke with was RUDE!! He informed me that I will be getting a call until my balance is made current I told him that it makes since but y'all calling me 6-8 times a day is doing to much I'm just gone block y'all till it's current he proceeds to tell me that's fine and while I was asking him a question he proceeded to talk over me then hung up on my face. Terrible customer service . Should be negative rating option. After being a customer over 20 years with protection One who has a good company, ADT destroyed the customer base and a good reputation. Collected money from elderly relatives for 3 years without notifying them that the monitoring had ceased when a landline was removed. They took no responsibility yet took the money. When inquired about it a account representative basically quoted the contract and demanded a 30-day contract termination notification. They provide a no service as it is a Monitoring Service company for over 3 years without communicating to the customer that the monitoring communication was interrupted over that period of time. Should something have happened, the customer would have been left helpless in a fire and a burglary in a carbon monoxide emergency, etc. This company is dangerous. I purchased a new system and was told by the salesman (Josh Mitchell) that my daughter would get a $200 referral gift card and I would get a $200 new customer gift card. The salesman took down all my daughters information (including account number). After months of not getting either card, I reached out to my salesman and he never responded to text messages or phone calls. I then reached out to customer service and they stated my daughter had to make a referral on the referral line. When she did they, they denied it and said the system was already installed. After months of calling and being told the cards would be sent out and nothing. I asked to speak to a supervisor and they said one would contact me - nope never happened. Today (almost a year and half later) they offered me a $100 credit on by account and nothing for my daughter. I can't believe that there isn't a supervisor that can make the decision to just make this right and send out two gift cards. I literally spent hours on line and on the phone for months (getting transferred often) and no one had the ability to make this right. read more

this company only traps you into a contract without disclosing this to the customer. i worked for this place recently and im here to tell you ADT does NOT do ANYTHING for the customer's benefit, ADT is ALL about the money- period. they trick people into signing contracts and the customer has no idea until they call to cancel services, THEN they are told that they are under a 5 yr contract and still have 2-3 yrs before its satisfied and if they cancel prior to satisfying the contract there will be the balance of the contract AND a hefty cancelation fee due THAT day. Since most people cant afford to fork over 3-4 thousand bucks at once, they have no choice but to keep the services going, as crappy as they the service is, they have to do it or be sent to collections. and when the contract is complete, they cant just call to cancel services with out going thru this whole thing where the rep makes offers , sometimes ones you cant refuse, but be aware that the 'offers' are accompanied by ANOTHER CONTRACT THAT YOU ARE UNAWARE OF. the agents will even LIE and say : this offer is under NO contract, its a month-to-month agreement knowing that ADT doesnt need a signature to make the deal on a 12 month contract, they dont even need you to be aware of it at all. they just select the contract option and send an email to you that usually goes to the spam folder that's why the customer is completely unaware of the agreement they are under. read more

ADT Protection 1 Security. Have been with them for 10 years and selling lake house so we need to cancel the service. They want me to pay for 2 more years. Now they have noting in writing they said it was verbal. So I asked to hear it. They said I could take it to court to hear it. Be careful with this company.
