I hadn't had any luck finding a reputable company asking friends, family, or neighbors, so I decided to google local companies who might be able to help. That's how I found Video-Comm. The reviews looked promising, so I gave them a call. Rafael answered and agreed to come over the same day. I told him the cameras over my garage were out, and he agreed to try and repair them. Rafael told me there'd be a service fee plus the cost of labor. He quoted me a conservative estimate of about $300. Rafael and his colleague Diego arrived on time and ready to work. I left them to work in the rear of the property while I tended to my yard. They worked diligently for about three hours before successfully repairing the cameras. It turns out that the wires needed to be replaced. Rafael and Diego replaced the existing wires with copper wires and rewired them. I'm not sure of all the technical jargon, but that was the gist of it. Rafael and Diego had their own truck that had all the equipment they needed. They were quiet and respectful of the property. They cleaned up after themselves, leaving the space as they first encountered it. The final bill was $308. I found Rafael competent, professional, and affable. I'll definitely be calling him again if necessary. In fact, I asked him to send over a quote for an upgraded set of cameras. Now that I've found someone I trust, I'll definitely get new cameras sometime soon.

I request service and they came out on a Monday afternoon for a free consultation and property inspection, and by Wednesday afternoon--just 48 hours later--they had installed four high-quality cameras, set up a monitor, and provided an easy-to-use app for remote viewing. At a great value as well. The installers were professional, efficient, and meticulous, ensuring everything was set up seamlessly. The quality of their work exceeded my expectations, and I couldn't be more pleased with the results. I highly recommend Video-Comm Security and will absolutely be using them again in the future!

Last summer, we had a break-in at our condo entrance, and found a need for a Full Length Interlocking Door Guard. (Highly recommended as burglars love to shimmy a screwdriver between your door and lock & open into your place easier than a SPAM can.) Pro Video Security let us select the guard. They gave a great bid to put install. We even chose to do 2 doors, given their great rate. Flash forward to 6 months later we found a small (but significant) installation error on one of the doors. Rather than haggle and hassle, they came right out and fixed it at ZERO extra cost. (As expected.) On top of that: The fix came right on time. We caught this picture of a rather infamous trio (USPS is after them) trying to break in and being foiled by the door guard. SEE PIC.

I wanted to be able to keep a watch on the dogs and also of course on my house in general. I bought the equipment from Provideo and I am all the way in California, so I had a local person install the equipment for me, and Perry took over the remote customer service, which has been far above and beyond what anybody could ever expect from customer service. If anything goes wrong, he is right there ready to help me fix it and get it up and running again. I could probably find someone locally, but there is no way I would ever find such great, friendly, knowledgeable customer service. So wherever you are in the world, these guys are the best! Thank you, Perry!

I shopped around but the most value was ordering it online from an automotive remote site. I interacted with Adam and he was able to show up on the early weekend morning. His text are professional and clear, & he included pictures. Mazda even as far back as 2005 (car was delayed as released as an 2006) used a key card. There is a chip in the card and one in the valet key. Mazda blank metal doesn't have all the slots cut into the blank either. Getting the car to go into reprogram mode didn't work because the console said I need two "keys." However there is a chip in both the medal key and card. So one transmitter set will work, or should have. He drove an hour back and forth to get the other generic key and had to modify it with a Dremel rotary tool so that the key would have tolerance to get through the tabs on the ignition. That didn't work and he is coming back next week to try again with just another chipped key. Didn't charge a trip fee for making a round trip, nor for the generic key that didn't work. I will spread the word within the MazdaSpeed group so they can get help if the elect to get the Mazda key card instead of generic. At least have one original card and one generic real key. At this point I elected to tow it to Mazda DG for them to try with my key. Because if I buy theirs, its considered an "installed electronic part," and they won't accept returns. Too risky for $400. If they can do it I just pay for 1/2 hour of programming. Worst case I have to buy their key, mine is also OEM (not eBay/Amazon). His company slogan should be either 'The Locksmith from Lockport,' or 'The Lockport Locksmith.'

He told me he would arrive in about an hour, and about ten minutes out gave me a courtesy call to let me know he was close by. He not only fixed the lock, he also tightened up the screws and the screen door (that would slam shut previously). Mark was courteous, kind, professional and knowledgeable throughout the whole experience. Definitely going with Mark again anytime we have any key/lock needs! Thank you!

Serious Concerns Regarding Equipment Removal, Privacy, and Security…read more We were customers of Knight Security for several years and previously had a positive working relationship with the company. Over that time, we invested thousands of dollars in security equipment and installation as our company grew, to help protect our property and the privacy of those we serve. Unfortunately, a recent series of events involving equipment removed from our property, access to another customer's surveillance feeds, and concerns regarding the response to those issues ultimately resulted in our decision to terminate our relationship with Knight Security. The events described in this review are based on our invoices, emails, written correspondence, and information provided to us by Knight Security and its representatives. We recently moved to a new location, which required relocating our existing cameras and recording equipment and purchasing additional equipment to provide adequate coverage in the new space. Knight Security was responsible for removing our equipment from our previous location, transporting it to the new location, and installing both the existing and newly purchased equipment. The installation itself had some issues. Cameras that were supposed to have audio did not, while cameras that were not intended to have audio did. Some camera placements also had to be corrected. These were frustrating but relatively minor issues that we were prepared to work through. Our concerns became significantly more serious when we discovered that, after the move was completed, we had access to another Knight Security customer's surveillance cameras through our camera application. We were able to view another customer's private video feeds. Those feeds showed portions of that customer's private property, including their driveway, garage, outdoor structures, vehicles, and backyard. Our immediate concern was not simply how to remove those cameras from our application. We wanted to understand why we had access to another customer's surveillance system and whether our own cameras or surveillance feeds could similarly be accessible to someone else. We immediately contacted Knight Security and were told that a manager would return our call. A technician contacted us later that afternoon but was unable to answer our questions regarding how the situation occurred or whether our own system could have been similarly affected. We were advised that we could delete the other customer's feed from our application and were told that it really was not a big deal. We explained that simply deleting the feed did not address our underlying security and privacy concerns and requested that the issue be escalated. When we did not receive an adequate response, we emailed the owner directly. We did not receive a response to that email. Days went by, and we continued to have access to the other customer's property without answers to our questions. Five days after our initial notification, we contacted Knight again and emphasized the seriousness of the privacy issue and our concerns regarding the lack of response. It was only after continued follow-up that we began receiving additional information regarding what had occurred. Through those discussions, we learned that a DVR that we had previously purchased and paid for had been removed from our property and subsequently resold to another Knight Security customer without our knowledge. This was the same customer whose surveillance cameras had appeared in our account. This discovery raised additional concerns regarding equipment we had purchased from Knight over the course of our relationship. During previous installations and system upgrades, we had purchased and paid for security equipment. As our system was upgraded over time, some equipment was removed from our property. We were not asked for permission to transfer that equipment back to Knight, were not advised that ownership of it would transfer back to Knight, and were not provided a credit for it at the time it was removed. Knight acknowledged in written correspondence that the DVR had been removed and resold. We were also informed that the manager involved was no longer employed by the company and that Knight was implementing procedural changes. The owner wrote: "Looking back, I see some things we should have done better. I'm not sure how any old equipment that wasn't used didn't get returned to you." Following this discovery, we conducted our own review of approximately three years of invoices and compared the equipment we had purchased against the equipment we could identify as remaining in our possession. We identified additional purchased equipment that we could not account for. Knight subsequently offered an $880.76 account credit related to various pieces of equipment that had been removed. We declined the account credit because, by that point, we had decided to terminate our relationship with the company.
