We consider ourselves lucky to have been referred to Dan Oliva when we first moved to California. While he was helpful in getting us the best rates for homeowners, car, and umbrella policies, he has been a treasure trove of information regarding both earthquake and flood insurance, which were new to us as transplants. But what is most impressive about Dan is the personal relationship he has with clients. You can sit down face-to-face with Dan, he will listen to your concerns, and take action by getting quotes, comparing policies, making calls on your behalf, and going the extra mile when extra service is required. The entire staff at Oliva Insurance offers a level of personal care that is rare to find. I think of Oliva Insurance as the place to go for professional attention and a hug.

This I the WORST insurance company ever!!!! AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!…read moreSo my car right side mirror was hit taken off, not my fault noted it to insurance the next day, didn't get any call back or did the insurance make any effort to contact me, I call back a day later they stated it was my fault when they never came the see the car. They put me at fault based on the words of the opposing party even though I have physical evidence & eye witnesses . So I decide screw it they are not going to help me so its time to get the car fixed, I take the car leave it there at there designated bodyshop for about a week I decide to call to follow up because I get no updates or anything like usual, then I get told by the car fixers that the insurance company hasn't went to look at the car yet, I call my car insurance to see what's going on to find out that they were unaware that my vehicle was there. This insurance is a joke, they are unprofessional & don't care about there clients. All the employee's in the office are RUDE COMBATIVE. The lack of communication is horrendous Cant believe such a business exists! Would avoid at all costs. I will freely contact anyone who has questions about this insurance location.

As an independent insurance broker for over 38 years I can tell you United Agencies is the cream of…read morethe crop in insurance representation. They are the Best in insurance. They are not a "carrier" or an "Insurance Company". They are insurance brokers and agents with relationships with many insurance companies, connecting clients with those various insurance companies. The previous comment of a gripe in determining mileage makes no sense to me. Ironically the commentor seems to have no knowledge on how insurance works. The insurance agent/broker does not determine what mileage can be submitted to the insurance company, the insurance companies create their underwriting guidelines. Most auto insurance companies request a photo of your odometer when you initiate coverage and every 6 to 12 months they request new photos of the odometer, then they determine your mileage by seeing the increase and basing mileage according to actual miles travelled. Oil changes are another method in which an independent third party can view and note your vehicles actual mileage and then the next oil change depending on the length of time in between oil changes can also determine the actual mileage during that driving term. Additionally, driving record, years of driving experience, vehicle usage, policy renewal discounts, vehicle type are all considered in pricing. Auto insurance premiums (and other lines of insurance) are based on factual data gathered about applicants not favorable or unfavorable speculation. United Agencies is highly regarded in the insurance industry. Yes, there will always be those clients who complain about unfairness, but overall my personal experience and knowledge about United Agencies has led me to believe that they operate in an friendly, ethical, efficient and professional manner.

If you have been a member for a long time and United Agencies Pasadena has taken over, you're in…read morethe WRONG HANDS! I want to share with you that insurance companies rates are based on factors such as how many years driving experience, driving record, ANNUAL MILEAGE (which we will go into in a few), male/female, and years of insurance coverage.... to mention a few. This United Agencies have terrible service and they are NOT willing to listen to why you would need to change your annual mileage... Most of us work from home now and driving is less... yes, there are a few road trips during the year but not enough to warrant them to AUTOMATICALLY change your mileage to 13K at your renewal without your consent. Did you know that???? People need to know that services such as these are taken advantage of hard working people like us, so they can reap the benefits of annual premiums. They gave me a hard time to changing my mileage, plus threatened me that it might not be changed because their UNDERWRITERS will determine what is the correct mileage based on your oil changes within 3 months. Now let me give you an example that within that 3 months you could have taken a long trip or so.... and so they based it SOLELY on that.... humm, don't you think that's UNFAIR? Please watch out for United Agencies Pasadena! If you aren't knowledgeable about how insurance works, call another carrier and see if someone can help explain to you. This is the WORST SERVICE, and gauging insurance company. I would NOT TRUST THEM!
