Hi wife, Janice, can be pleasant, until you actually need them to do something, then she is very rude. We had a loss of about $4,000 and the agency has made it so difficult to file and claim that we are just going to give up on receiving reimbursement. I was hung-up on by a representative who did not want to answer a question about the claim. My family and I have been with American National for years and moved to Cheyenne, WY last year. Needless to say we just made a change to another agency when I could no longer stand the poor service. Stay away!

All our payments are made through direct deposit and have always been in good standing. We had one window chip and one small towing charge. The ins. agent got the underwriter to agree to not terminate if the comprehensive policy was changed from zero deductible to $1,000 deductible. This is more than outrageous. I'm appalled at how State Farm treats their customers. I will be reporting this in every way possible so people are aware of State Farm's practices. Our state senators need to investigate these practices and policies so I will report this to them as well. I just want to make sure that everyone really researches insurance companies before selecting. We did not do a good job of looking at reviews and if you read State Farm's reviews, they are not good at all.

I always over insure to make sure in case of the worst case scenario I am covered. I opened a half a million dollar policy on our vehicles ( definitely not the minimum) and had some hail damage a couple weeks after opening my policy( thanks Cheyenne) and made my claim. When I called to make sure I was covered while my new truck would be worked on (for 2 weeks) they informed me I had no car rental service(ugh) , so I asked why and they said you have to ask for this service and it wasn't included with mine. ???? I asked if anything could be done to rectify the situation and was politely told no. I told them I would be finding a new insurance provider and they said they understand and have a nice day????? Seriously. As you can see I was just a number and they were indifferent . The positive that came out of this was I did find an an amazing insurance agency . But still out 2 weeks of rental car coverage I highly recommend stay clear of Farmers Insurance!!!
