From beginning to end, James took his time to make sure our son fully understood the dos and don'ts, and was his biggest cheerleader. Myra Canyon Trails offers spectacular views of the canyon, 2 tunnels and 18 trestle bridges. You can ride a bike or hike this easy & flat 24km trail. My friends and I decided to bike this section and I was the only one who didn't own a bike. Myra Canyon Bicycle Rental & Tours (MCBRT) was recommended by another friend who had rented from them. From beginning to end, my communication with MCBRT was great. My email inquiry was answered within a day and they were accommodating to my needs. Upon arrival, I whizzed through the line as I completed everything on-line and then given a quick overview & test of the bike. When I finished the bike ride, I just follow the signs to where to return the bike and helmet. I would certainly rental from them again as their bikes are well maintained. Tips: MCBRT is located at the Myra Station parking lot. The road up to the parking lot is bumpy and on a gravel road. Our car made it up in 20 minutes once off road with no problems so just go slowly on big turns. Myra Canyon Bike Rentals offers 2 bike rental times: morning (9am-1pm) and afternoon (1:30pm-5:30pm) and easy to book on their website. I couldn't be there at these start times but they accommodated me. Bring snacks and lots of water. We bought sandwiches and stopped for lunch at one of the many viewpoints to enjoy. No water fountains or concession stands on the trail. Bathroom breaks: there are 3 outhouses along the trail. The first one is at Myra Station parking lot. Take your time: the trail can be completed relatively quickly but where we lose the time is stopping for photos for and with the canyons, trestles and tunnels. We could easily spend 4 hours on the trail.
