I'm quite conflicted how to write this review because in the end the Bride was happy and that's all…read morethat really matters right? In my opinion, not so much, when every single member of the wedding party, including the Groom, and the father of the Groom had goof ups consisting of missing pieces and wrong sizing. Not to mention, when the suits arrived they called the Groom to let everyone know they could pick them up, not like the Groom doesn't have ten thousand other things to do the week of the wedding. Everyone was measured by the staff. Almost every shirt was mis-sized either way too big or too small, the Grooms shirt was outright missing. They did musical shirts and vests right up till Thursday when the wedding was Friday. If it weren't for a phenomenal wedding party being patient and running back and forth to the shop the groomsmen would not have been suited up. In the end the staff was friendly and apologetic and everything worked out but the stress it caused on the couple the week of the wedding was unnecessary. Fortunately our Bride was no Bridezilla and she politely smiled though the whole fiasco, but as for us we would not recommend The Men's and Boys Store for an important event simply for the reason that just because it worked out this time it may not in the future. I'm giving 3 stars because the Bride did not want me to go any lower than that and as a supporting MIL I will do as she requests.

We stopped by Department of Note when doing some holiday shopping in Doylestown this past Saturday…read more It's small shop within Main Street Marketplace. It carries paper goods, stationary, home decor, tchotchkes (things that defy categorization), and more. We found some great gifts (notebooks, pens, a pillow shaped like a cat...). The shop makes an effort to carefully choose items for its shop and focuses on items that are handmade, made by women-owned company, made in the US, eco-friendly, vintage, made locally, etc. Everything in their shop was charming, of great quality, and cute. They also host events/workshops, like a paint your own calendar event they are holding this week. A charming shop I'd be happy to return to!

Looking for an inexpensive thumb ring for yucks. They found or ate ones, ones too small, then finally one for neatly $70.00, beyond my lark price range. Finally when we exhausted all efforts, they referred me to Anna on Union near Coryelle and I looked all over that area and gave up - ducking into the 5 & 10 and guess who was there?! Bohemian and kind Anna who couldn't help either - lost interest when it was apparent I wouldn't order something at a high price to be resized. The. i walked across the river using the bridge of course and wandered j to a more touristy store. You guileless shop clerk with no interest to upsell me or zeal to get me to buy something casually pointed me to an area of rings and wished me cheery good luck! Bingo! I've been frequenting both towns as a patron for decades and i'm surprised how I always associate kindly persistence to sell me items at the cost of my getting what I want versus just laid back helpfulness with no agenda. Upon entering for a scheduled appointment for my daughter's prom dress we were greeted with our sales consultant Casey, the immediate impression she exuded was one that she was not looking forward to . My daughter needed a larger size gown for which the consultant took her to the back room showed her where those gowns were and explained the process of picking dresses. Once the consultant received more clients she seemed overwhelmed and distracted. My daughter tried on a number of gowns one in particular that she started with she actually did not like and put away however at the end of the process she wanted to try this again on one more time just to make sure. In trying this dress on one more time she decided that she really liked it and asked if it came in a larger size she then proceeded to ask the owner if the dress came in a larger size once the owner came in and looked at my daughter she looked her up and down turned around and never acknowledged her again nor did she receive an answer as to whether the dress came in a larger size. During this whole visit the entire time we were there I was not impressed one bit. The owner was unwelcoming and seemed very judgmental of thse not fitting the "standard." The Consultants were not friendly nor accommodating. In my honest opinion I would never recommend this location for any young lady especially one that requires a larger size. And aside from needing a larger size I would still not recommend this establishment. I personally felt that we were looked at like we "weren't good enough" to be there.
