On the day we moved to Harrisville a water pipe burst in our house. In turned out we lost our power and had no kitchen. The only restaurant open in town was Subway. We got our order completed and the credit card machine didn't work. My 7 year old started balling and the lady working said, "Go home and eat and come back later and pay for it." Two days later I went for my morning cup of coffee and forgot my wallet. A man from Harris Construction (sign on his truck) paid for my coffee. Tonight, I stopped in on the way home and got hot chocolate. When I got to the counter, Adam the clerk said, "no charge". I looked puzzled. Apparently someone earlier paid for the next 10 people to get any drink from the coffee bar. Either everyone that works at BP is overly friendly, we have really good luck, or the people of Harrisville must be the nicest people on Earth. We think it's all of the above. We are grateful for the kindness BP and the people of Harrisville have shown us! We love it here!

I came here a few mornings ago to get a cup of coffee while staying at Harrisville State Park. And I've got to tell you they had this Michigan cherry coffee that was quite possibly some of the best coffee I've ever had. With just a touch of Splenda and real half and half it was absolutely perfect. I went back the next morning and had it again. The coffee was fresh and hot! Not only is this store large and filled with everything you could quite possibly need but they also sell beer, wine AND liquor. I'm not just talking the cheap, generic, small bottles either. They have 3 areas of liquor from bottom shelf single shots to premium fifths and everything in between. They even had my drink of choice Tito's, and all at state minimum. They sell unisex flip flops and women's sun dresses and even have some souvenirs for kids. They sell 7lb bags of ice and have wood for a decent price of 3 bundles for $12. The gas prices were in line with everywhere I saw, so no jacked up prices here. In fact, everything I save in the store was a good price. No hiked up prices on anything. I've been here 4 times while staying at the state park and every employee was welcoming and friendly. The restrooms are clean, yes I used it. And the popcorn they sell by the register is worth getting a bag of. It taste just like movie theater popcorn and it popped fresh several times a day. On 2 visits to get slushies- which are really really good, our drinks were purchased for us! Apparently a local had bought 30 slushies for the employees to give out to customers and we were lucky enough to be one of the recipients! How cool is that!! If the person who did that reads this please know we are very appreciative! Truly a act of kindness and generosity! Highly recommend this place. I'll be back a few more times before we leave this campground.

I am very selective with the gas I put in my F150 where shell with its premium gas and proprietary cleaning additives that help keep your engine clean and running efficiently is one of my go to gas companies. Usually this gas sells at a premium to other gas stations in their locale but not this business where they are consistently at the lowest price in the general Tawas Oscoda area and significantly less than other premium brands. I literally fill up every time I drive by this station to get the best gas deal in the area. Not sure how they are able to consistently beat the competition but as long as they do I will keep buying my gas from them. Two big thumbs up!

We needed water and a few other items, including food, so we went to this petrol station.  I was at Subway ordering food, and my fiancé went into the store to grab a few things, and the guy working that night was very rude. My fiancé went to pay for the items, and the guy snatched the card from his hand then shoved it back in his hand. The guy had a nasty attitude. I was so upset that I almost turned around on the way back to the hotel and checked the guy. My fiancé didn't tell me until we were close to the hotel. That guy will upset the wrong person and get embarrassed. That was unacceptable!
