Abel Jr got back to me promptly and offered to come out for a quote within a couple days. He was extremely professional and courteous. He even had a drone which took overhead pictures of the area I wanted done. By the following day, I had a very detailed quote sent to my email. The price was reasonable, their company is licensed and bonded and the contract was well written. Now on to the most impressive part. Abel Jr scheduled me in within a few days to start the work. Abel Jr, Abel Sr and their team arrived within the 30 minute window they gave me and got right to work. Within an hour or so of being there, Abel Jr told me they would pour the concrete that same day! This included removing 10" of dirt, a drip irrigation system, sealing said system, laying the base rock, pouring the concrete and applying the finish/joints to match the driveway. After all was said and done, they did a fantastic job in a fast and professional manner! They were a pleasure to work with and I will use their services for any future needs!

Her design fulfilled our vision and the execution by her crew led by Ismael and Raul, made our dream come true. Frances (Black Diamond) was the only one of the three companies from which we received designs who was able to build 25 paver stairs and a walkway up the sand dune and create a platform for our view of the golf course and Monterey Bay. Frances and her crew were always punctual, responsible, skillful, considerate and professional. They were able to accomplish all we asked for. Black Diamond, with Frances as the designer and project manager, was definitely the right choice.

Daniel Sr. and his son Daniel, were at my house within two days of my initial phone contact to evaluate the job. They provided me a proposal within days. I subsequently enlarged the scope of the project, and they made several more visits over the next two weeks. The project consisted of two stamped concrete patios, two stamped concrete aprons, a stamped concrete walkway, 135' of fence footing, and one propane tank pad. Once finalized a start date was scheduled. Though there was a slight delay, they kept me apprised of the situation, and the work commenced as rescheduled. I was particularly impressed with their work as they formed the pour. It's that time when a trade skill and art meet. For example, the two Daniels formed and reformed a walkway ramp with stairs several times over the course of a day before they were satisfied, transforming the mundane to aesthetically pleasing. They were attentive to my concerns regarding drainage and slope, and provided suggestions as work proceeded. At all times during the project, they sought approval as various forms were set in the yard. The core crew are all family members which I believe instills pride in their work. The stamped concrete came out great, and they returned after a month and some sunshine to seal the concrete. In addition to the quality work it was gratifying to do business with a local business.
