Shout out to Arsi and Crystal for doing an amazing job. Arsi handled my 2018 tax return very efficiently, and answered all of my questions. She was knowledgeable and patient in making sure to understand my tax situation. I had multiple W2, 1099, and other forms seemed like a mess at first, but she managed to get it all in order and simplify it for me. I got the best refund possible and I couldn't be happier. I used to file taxes online myself, but now I see why it's best to have an accountant. The service is a bit expensive, but it pays for itself with the deductions an accountant can get for you. Plus, it's always better for an accountant to talk to the IRS on your behalf, rather than doing so yourself. I recommend ditching your tax prep software and checking out this service. I work in film -- sometimes under contract, sometimes freelance, sometimes as an employee -- so my 10-99s and w-2s are all over the place and my years vary wildly. I couldn't recommend ADK enough for Entertainment Industry professionals. Having worked in several states last year, I knew going in that my taxes would be confusing. I had previously taken my tax documents to a CPA whom took several months past the April deadline to get my taxes finished, when to my horror I discovered things that I felt were errors that would of surely resulted in an audit. Even though I have no understanding of tax laws, I just had a bad gut feeling. I quickly turned to my union brothers asking for references of a good accounting firm with experience in multi-state returns and detailed business expenses. I needed a second opinion on my taxes. ADK came with the highest praises from other union members. With in less than an hour of sending a brief email explaining my situation, I received a very nice message from Arsi telling me that she would be happy to take a look at what this accountant had done and we scheduled an appointment later that week. The ADK office in Burbank was extremely easy to find and I was welcomed warmly by both Arsi and Tina. With in five minutes of reviewing my paperwork, they showed me that my fears were completely justified. Arsi said she would be happy to redo my taxes and would have them to me in less than week. That was on Friday. By Wednesday the following week, I had a draft of my finished taxes in my inbox. I was immensely relieved and appreciated that not only did she stick to her promised deadline, but that she sat with me, number by number and explained the taxes. I was very impressed by not only her professionalism and poise, but her knowledge and understanding of exactly what needed to be done to get my taxes file properly.
