With the new congestion pricing going into effect January 2025 to drive anywhere below 60th street, this is a great option because public transit is where you will save money, thus what is being encouraged by the congestive pricing. I live in Goshen NY. To take the coach bus from as Goshen or Central Valley is $45 round trip, so its just worth it to drive the little extra distance here to save some money on the trip. On the way back you will be dropped off on the northbound side and you just have to cross over 17 using the pedestrian bridge to get back to your car. Also, the parking here is free, in case anyone is wondering. I think in the past you had to pay for parking prior to covid, as I saw some old reviews on yelp that said you had to pay for parking, which is no longer the case. I highly recommend this location.

There's a beautiful green garden alongside the platform. The Franklin Ave entrance has an elevator as well. It is mostly clean. The platform is covered under a shade for the most part, but at both ends it's under open sky. There are some fences and two closed glass stalls that has heating facility, great for waiting in winter times. The tracks have clear marking of direction of the trains. There are monitors showing the wait time of upcoming trains. As we were exploring 3-4 trains stopped by, meaning they were pretty frequent even on a Sunday. We all had a fun time here looking at the trains arriving at and leaving the platform.
