If he would have earned a dollar a crack-adjustment in my body, he would have been an even richer man! LOVE IT! I've been a dedicated chiropractor patient for the last 15-20 years because I used to do gymnastics, weight lifting, golfing, running, and paddling. I have my old injuries which pop up every so often. Most recently, I had a major tweak in my back and my regular chiropractor (of 12+ years) was unavailable. I looked for a local Chiropractor and found Adio Chiropractic and was impressed with the Yelp reviews. I decided to give Dr. Mike a try and I'm glad that I did! I called the office and left a message indicating that I wanted to schedule an appointment. Within minutes, the receptionist with an angelic voice and personality (Ms. Rose) called me back and got me in the schedule. Rose was super friendly, helpful, and informative! I needed that being a first-time patient. You rock Rose! When I got to my appointment, Dr. Mike took me in immediately and literally spent 30-60 seconds evaluating and surveying my body. This was impressive, because he was learning the specifics about my body, instead of just generalizing what I needed for an adjustment. He explained what he was going to do and asked for my permission to adjust me. Impressive. Get this - after the first 30 seconds of Dr. Mike evaluating my body by doing little pushes, my body knew that it could trust him to do the necessary adjustments. That was the reason why my body welcomed the adjustments and didn't fight his efforts. I don't think I've ever heard my body crack (adjust) so many different places. He literally got my body to adjust 5-8 places on each the right side of the neck, the left side of the neck, the upper right back side of the spine, and the upper left back side of the spine. I was actually caught off guard, as I'm in relatively very good health and physical shape and I thought I was only going to get one little adjustment in my upper back. My adjustments sounded better than Katy Perry's Fireworks Song. Also memorable about my visit was Dr. Mike telling me that if I didn't feel 100% within 24 hours, I could come in for a free adjustment the next day. Within 24 hours, my body was mostly recovered but I still felt like I needed another adjustment (the body has a comfortable position and memory, so it sometimes returns to the original positions). Without question, I got in the next day and was adjusted like a champ. Again, the sound of my adjustments sounded better than Katy Perry's Fireworks! Dr. Mike (and Rose) come highly recommended! I come here every now and then, but I should do it more often because of my back pain. Mike & his assistant Rose are both professional, friendly, easy to deal with, and most of all it is reasonably priced. Last week I woke up with a slight pain in my back. As the day progressed the pain moved to the side of my arm where I could not lift it at my side without severe pain. I told my supervisor and he recommended this place to me. I called and was able to get a same day appointment. When I walked in Rose greeted me warmly. The wait wasn't long at all less than 15 minutes. When I was seen I was evaluated and my whole body readjusted. After I was told not to sleep on my arm and also that it might feel uncomfortable right after an adjustment since my body was now healing itself in the proper alignment. While there my hip was cracked as well during the adjustment. Since I was younger about 12years I've had a pain in my lower back on my right side when I walked at times. I don't go as often as I should but when I do get a chance to make it out that direction, I'm always greeted warmly by Rose and re-aligned by Dr. Mike. I was debating for a long time out of fear that getting my back adjustment was not a necessity I should pay for, however, after giving it a shot, I knew that fear was unwarranted. I even purchased a package deal so I can get adjusted more regularly for a better deal. It's not worth it to keep feeling pain and hoping that it will go away. Get it adjusted. Dr. Mike will immediately get to the source of the problem and teach you ways to prevent it from happening again as well. I have a rib that annoyingly comes dislocated during times of high stress in my life. Recently, while 4 months pregnant and getting ready to move across the country, I found myself in that position. So I had one experience with a chiropractor which was after a half marathon 20 years ago in one of those complimentary tents they usually have at the end of those races. It was one of the most violent experiences in my life and swore I'd never go to one again. Being athletic and healthy, as I get close to 50 I've been experiencing tightness everywhere. Dr. Mike was recommended to me by a co-worker and I shared with him the above story. Within the first 5 seconds he asked "how many times have you sprained your right ankle." I used to pole vault in high school and sprained my ankle all the time and was blown away he could see that. He was super gentle and chill the first few visits and has helped me SO much in keeping me in better alignment. Not only with visiting him but helping me in my daily life to do things that will better serve me and my body's alignment. I always ask him questions about what else I can do when something pops up in my body that feels weird or tight and he gives me suggestions on better behaviors regarding posture, muscles being used or not used and how to counterbalance everything. I've been coming to Dr Mike for a few years and he and assistant Rose have been great. Very accommodating on time, dealing w my insurance and so on. With chiropractic, it's important to go somewhat regularly because once the pain disappears we feel like it's "fixed" - but unless the posture, diet, and muscles change, we tend to go back to the old habit and reinjure the same spot. So what I have been doing is to make sure to visit him before a long flight or after long flight, and that readjustment has been very effective to keep me mostly pain free. I took my daughter from the gymnastics injury and she received an excellent care. Yes, the treatment seems like it never changes - but that may have to do with the condition that I have - the same spot where I start to feel strain or pain. But as part of the overall adjustment (with accupuncturist and regular gym exercises), Dr. Mike's treatment has worked for me. read more

I visited Michael with a pinched nerve that had been killing me for 10 days (I couldn't move my neck at all, and the pain was constant). He was a nice, energetic guy who seemed to be very confident in his abilities to resolve my issues quickly. Unfortunately, over the course of 2 visits he made the pain even worse, though he kept trying to convince me I was feeling better. I eventually went and got a 'second opinion' at a more comprehensive physical therapy center, and they were much more attentive and receptive to my specific story and needs. They (Mehta Healthcare in Encino) experimented with a range of treatments (adjustments, machines, therapies) over a few visits, and I markedly improved. Michael might be good for a quick adjustment or touch-up, but to solve bigger issues I'd recommend going elsewhere. To make matters worse, I got a bill in the mail for $100 from my insurance company. Adio told me that I would have no problems with my insurance, but I would find out this was not the case. I'm now in the middle of a 30-day appeal process with my insurance company to fight the charge. So, so frustrating. read more

I don't know what Elite is talking about, but this guy is a hack. First of all his place is the antithesis of what comfortable is. I felt like I was waiting at a government social service office. On top of sitting in agony, I was forced to watch amateur video compilation of "Dr. Mike's" top 20 all time favorite moments. Although "Dr. Mike's" demeanor was pleasant, his "therapy" consisted of putting me on a massage machine for all of 15 minutes. I could have gotten the same result by going to Bed, Bath & Beyond and buying a massage pad that fits over a chair. I left feeling only 5% better than when I walked in and my pinched nerve was still pinched! I also noticed that most of his clients were out within 10 minutes on average. For those who are in serious pain and can't or for those who won't settle for a drive thru therapy mantra, stay clear of this McChiro's place of business (I can't bring myself to call it a practice). The positive side of my experience was his overtly friendly and overly complimentary receptionist. She had a compliment for everyone who walked in the door, even if the compliment "I really like your shirt!" was repeated to several "patients". read more

I used to love Adio when I first saw Dr Mike years ago - he was fantastic. I see him on occasion but feel the quality of the visits and the adjustments is like going through a "mill". I don't feel he spends enough time to see if everything is properly aligned and feel it is a waste of my time now. Last time I went in for lower back pain. After the usual adjustments (some of which I know did not take at all), he sent me on my merry way. The next day. the pain was on the opposite side of my spine. Hands down, the best! It's probably the best money I have spent in a long, long time. I was in so much pain for weeks. I had back spasms, I could not walk straight and I could not even roll off of the couch or bed at times. I pulled up Yelp on my phone, (while laying face down in extreme pain on the floor), saw the highest rated Chiropractor in my zip code which was Adio Chiropractic, and called and made an appointment for that day for a realignment (this was first time I ever got one of these). The receptionist was very nice and warm and gave me some great information about the process and what to expect. When I went in, it took about 15 minutes of stretching and back / neck movements (you literally hear and feel your back crack back into place with each movement), and I walked out like new! Just like that, there was no more back pain. Dr. Mike was great at talking me through the process and recommending things to do to prevent future back / spine issues. I have been going to a chiropractor on a regular (bi-weekly) basis since about 1997 and I have been fortunate to have some really great chiropractors during this time. I was certainly nervous about finding a great professional when I moved to Los Angeles back in 2009 but, after much research, I decided to visit Adio to maintain my regular schedule for care. I am an avid fan of what preventative chiropractic care can provide, especially if you are physically active. Dr. Mike is a wonderful chiropractic that is obviously skilled in his profession. I have full confidence in his ability as a D.C. and find the environment to be very welcoming. He has a friendly attitude and is very easy to speak with as well as takes the time to answer questions in lay terms. On a side note, Rose is also a joy. I tweaked my back on Friday and my regular chiropractor was out of town. I looked on Yelp and decided to give Dr. Mike a try as he's worked on pregnant women and had good reviews. I was taken aback when I pulled into the parking lot of his office because outside his office space there's a bar on one side and a liquor store on the other. Outside of the bar there were all kinds of shady characters smoking, drinking and hanging out so I definitely had my reservations. As I waited to be seen in his office I could hear the music from the bar thumping through the office. Hmmm. . . However, Rose greeted me and I found her to be very warm, welcoming and loving, she was just amazing! I also found Dr. Mike to be competent and professional. I didn't think he was "cheesy" or tried to pull a "bait and switch" like another reviewer wrote. He asked all kinds of questions and was very gentle and proficient. As I left he told me that I could come back for free on Monday to make sure that he took care of all of my back pain and that I was feeling better and to be sure everything was okay. Over the past 20 years, I've tried many different chiros. Some have been "good enough" but never found anyone that stood out until I went to Dr. Mike. What i really like about Dr. Mike is that he evaluates your condition by feel. Some chiros that I've been to take x-rays and determine treatment based on that but that doesn't always tell the whole story. Dr. Mike is very knowledgeable and friendly. She will do everything she can to squeeze you in if you're calling at the last minute. I really appreciate the fact that Dr. Mike is a chiropractor....period. From skeptic to true believer! Dr. Mike is simply AMAZING! Extremely knowledgeable, super friendly and makes you feel comfortable - he walks you through the examination and why he's doing what he's doing. I had massages and took meds for 3 weeks without any progress. It wasn't until I saw Dr. Mike that I felt better - only after 1 visit. A little background . . . I had my first experience with a Chiropractor in 1993, needless to say, it was a horrible experience. I swore I would never go to to a Chiropractor EVER again! As I mentioned, I was in pain for 3 weeks so my husband made me go because I'll be on a 14 hour flight soon.
