I'm 43. I've been coming to Adio (Golden, CO) for over 2 years. When I first started, I had numerous issues ( sinus headaches, migraines, lower back pain, my hips and sacrum were out of whack, incorrect posture, bad pms symptoms, numbness in my legs and arms at night, sciatica, and sleep issues, I also live with Pulmonary Sarcoidosis and Celiac disease). I have been consistently getting adjusted and it has made the world of difference to me and my health. Chiropractic care will continue to be a part of my life from here on out. Here's the conclusion first. This was a complete waste of time. It took two visits over a two day period. My wife was in pain the whole time. This was not healthcare. They were more interested in justifying their treatment than actually performing one. We didn't make it all the way to the treatment part of the visit, so will never know if it works. A couple weeks later, they sent an email advertising an employment position as a Marketing Director. About the same time, they sent a text requesting donations for their Garden Supply Drive. The facts as I recall: To start, expectations were not met. My wife made an appointment expecting a treatment on the first visit. On day one, there was at least a half hour of presentations before the xray and scan, but no treatment that day. On day two, there was another half hour of presentations in an audience including another patient. My wife stood up the whole time because sitting was too painful. This was the last straw. My wife finally made it to a back room for discussion of the scans and for the treatment. She stated she was in pain and needed to lie down since she had been standing for a while. The chiropractor stated she could have laid down on the floor in the lobby where the presentation happened. This is when we left and later heard the other patient leaving shortly after. read more

I'm in extreme pain. I did something to my lower back about 5 days ago, so decided I would try this place. I can hardly sit and can barely stand, I made an appointment and thought I would get a treatment that day. Nope. I got to sit for an hour while they told me about the practice and how the spine works. Then they do a scan and X-ray and let me know that they will look at those and see me for a treatment THE NEXT DAY! I'm literally barely hanging on with this pain. So, I show up the next day thinking I'm going to finally get some relief from this pain. Nope. I get to "sit" for another 30 minutes while I get information that is very important (apparently). While this presentation is taking place, I ask my husband (over text) "what time was my 'appointment'?" The chiropractor noticed we were looking at each other and asked if there was something wrong. I said, "yes...I am in extreme pain, and I thought I was coming in today for a treatment. When will this be over?" He indicated to me that this was important information and that I needed to hear it. I told him that I needed to lay down because sitting and standing causes me extreme pain. He basically said 'too bad', just wait till I'm done talking. Then proceeded to tell a story about how he used to throw up 10-15 times a day before he started getting treatments. WHY DO I NEED TO KNOW THIS TO GET HELP FOR MY PAIN?!?!? If you're looking for pain relief, don't come here! The egos of the doctors here are considerably greater than their desire to actually help anyone. I was extremely disappointed in how the Dr's number one priority was money and not the care of his future patient. No doctor should be discussing financial costs and the breakdown of how much it will be before being seen. The doctors only and number one priority should be the patients need and care for their pain/discomfort to become better. You will be scheduled 2 visits before you can get actually get treated. Your first will be x-rays and a memorized speech from the front desk of how she was once a patient. The 2nd will be an hour "orientation" with other patients where you sit and wait in a row of chairs somewhat like a classroom. Again, a robotic speech from the front desk along with the doctor's speech about chiropractic care. Then you go into a closet sized room and go over how much you will owe him before you belong to the "program". You will also be charged extra to be evaluated after so many adjustments. Realistically, EACH visit should be a new evaluation of how your body has changed for the better. This is so wrong is so many ways. You should not call yourself a doctor if your main goal is money out of your patients and not care for them. read more

Super sad I made an appointment and when I went in, they were just gonna do an evaluation on me and have me come back. They said they felt bad so they ended up putting that little tool on my back four times and then sent me out the door asked me to come back to read the X-ray when I walked in they were handing out name tags because they were bringing me in to sit for a group session The chairs have no arms on them so if you can't get up and down there's no place to sit... They said they ran my insurance which was $80 but their cash pay is also $80. It made no sense. biggest thing is to just get people to sign up with their ' no' contract for 3000 dollars, in my case they felt bad so they attempted to take a little off.....And they don't really care about the patient's pain. They're more concerned about the financial aspect of it definitely not saying I wanted something for free just wanted to be cared for as an individual and not a financial aspect... nobody really gives you a direct answer because they dance around your questions and sucker you into getting an x-ray which every other facility I've been to did not demand an x-ray.... Every time you ask a question they don't get straight to the point . sounded pretty odd that they were able to look at the x-ray slightly enough to tell me something the day of my visit but told me I had to come back for a full report. It was literally just a way to sit in a group setting listen to their very planned out talk on there establishment you almost feel like you're buying into a timeshare..... It's easy to get a great review with the city of Golden if you're donating to the city of Golden and that's pretty much what I think they do. I'm sure they do help people with issues but they make it very difficult very expensive and not very straightforward. I don't recommend going here. You walk in in pain and by the time they have you go to all their different stations and try to finagle you into their price sheet and like I said they don't even treat you the first day. I just be a lucky candidate that day it's not worth it and then telling you you're coming back x-ray just to sucker you into coming into a group session I had my kid with me. they had to sit for an hour......... read more

I had been suffering with migraine headaches for a while and the medication was just not enough. This practice runs like a well oiled machine. While the staff are nice I just was not happy with my experience there. The chiro uses a manipulator and sees you for at most five minutes. However during this time my back went out between l5 and s1 and I had the most excruciating pain ever. I decided to end the service as I wasn't driving and had moved to be closer to my mom who had entered with hospice care. I ended up with a large bill from them for our family plan. My husband and son went there as well. We went for a year and a half. If you expect muscle testing and supplements this isn't the place for you. They scan you with a machine to look for points of inflammation then you are supposed to improve and at the end you just maintain it. Theoretically this should work except when it doesn't. read more

When I began chiropractic care, I was told I was "signing up" for a membership, that I was NOT signing a contract, to have over $230.00/ month billed on my credit card. I was never told that the so called re-evauations were $75.00 each, or that there was a charge for the initial consultation. When I asked to discontinue my care I was hit with another $180.00 charge! I never felt I was getting any benefits from the treatments and because of the limited times the office is open, I had to struggle to fit an adjustment in over my lunch hour. They are closed more than they are open, and twice I suffered through severe neck pain with no way to resolve it. read more

Run don't walk away from this place. I want to echo the negative reviews here about Adio being a scam and a cult type environment. First off, Adio is all about taking up you time early on with redundant sales pitches about how they are different from other Chiropractor's by using what I describe as a metal kitchen type utensil to "ping" your neck or spine in a matter of seconds. For this, so called treatment, they charge around $40-50 each visit while trying to get you to sign up for monthly visit plans. They also almost force you to get X-rays at $120 before treatment and talk you out of trying to get insurance involved by raising the perceived value of service costs if paying fee's yourself. I decided to not return after my first lengthy visit where I almost begged the so-called Doctor into providing that one ping with the metal devise on my neck with no relief result. When they called to get me back in for a 90-minute re-review of my X-rays and the cost plans I opted to have them just send me my X-rays that I paid for and go my own way to other relief options elsewhere. Later that day the doctor called back to try to talk me into coming back in but I refused to agree. Still later that day the doctor called to say I owned them $80 for the treatment ping which now held an increased value up from the $40-50 quoted earlier during their hard sell pitch. No mention of this new cost for the treatment was told to me before hand and I now have almost an hour of my time talking to two people from Adio on the phone stalking me for the $80. I can imagine how many ping's the doctor could have done at $40-$80 a pop while he was arguing with me to recoup that $80. Red flag city her on all fronts even with all of the five-star reviews that only appear to review Dr. Michael V. and not any of the other 3-4 so-called doctors that have, according to them, been helping hundreds of people for years, go figure. Then I read reviews that suspected that the great reviews were prompted by entering a contest for a free I-Pad then it all made sense. I am waiting for my next staking call from Adio to pay the $80 that I refuse to pay and also, I have not seen my X-rays yet. Just needed an adjustment. After an hour of going around the the mountain of info, I found it was impossible to get on unless I had X-rays and another consultation. I escaped with the 75.00 tour, without any adjustment. This place is pricey and they are hopeful you'll sign on for all the bells and whistles. The staff was friendly and the building was clean and welcoming, however that is where the positives from my experience end. I went to Adio because I was in pain and needed immediate relief. I called ahead and I was told that I would have a free consultation and they would run my insurance and tell me how much my visit would cost before charging me anything. I had a brief consultation and I was told that my visit would cost $45, I agreed to continue and they did some sort of scan on my back. Then I was told that they would need to perform xrays (which my insurance apparently wouldn't cover, since no insurance covers their xrays) before they could do an adjustment. Also the adjustment wasn't included in the cost of my appointment, so between the xrays and an adjustment it would cost me an additional $200 just to get to a point where they would attempt to relieve my pain. I communicated up front and several times throughout my time there that I was in a lot of pain and needed to return to work asap. I spent an hour there and received no level of medical attention, instead I just heard multiple sales pitches. I would not recommend this business for anyone who is in pain and in need of immediate relief, it seems like they specialize instead in long term treatment. It would have saved me a lot of time, pain, and money if they had been up front with me so I could have seeked treatment elsewhere. My very picky best friend went to Adio for a long time before moving away. I recently acquired a very stubborn, debilitating, and very painful issue with my low back and hips and all my attempts to fix it myself were futile. My husband suggested going to a doctor of which I pouted for a bit but ultimately surrendered. Being a huge fan of a holistic approach to healthcare, I knew that the only people that I was planning to trust was going to be Adio Chiropractic. I had been in a couple of times with my best friend and met Dr. Michael along with the rest of the staff. Even as a visitor, they treated me like family. Here is the thing. The body takes a WHILE to get out of balance so it is going to take a WHILE to get back into balance. Holistic healthcare is never a "quick-fix." It helps the body regain balance so it is in the best position to heal itself. My experience: When I made my appointment I did not even realize the consultation was free. I just wanted to get in and find out what the heck was wrong. I probably spent more than the cost of one visit purchasing massagers and Ben-Gay. I signed up on-line and they called me on Monday. A very sweet, warm, kind and concerned Sara called me and was able to fit me in. Thank goodness! I had even filled out all the paperwork online so was good to go. A very gentle and kind Dr. Thomas met me and showed me around the clinic. Adio is proud of their testimonials and enjoy showing off the babies and all the families who they help. This work is their passion, it is what they love to do, and why they get up in the morning. In addition, they give back to the community and support other small businesses. I love that. The next step was the thermal scan which I found fascinating. Dr. Thomas explained everything but being curious I went home to try to understand it even further. I could see from the scan where my poor body was trying to compensate and the pain was trying to tell me something was going to blow if I continued to ignore it. From that scan, you can see something is a'miss but not what. You do not want someone trying to guess what is wrong and adjusting you on a guess. I would not want that for myself so I asked for x-rays even before they suggested them. I found them reasonable and paid out of pocket because my insurance would not cover any of it. You will not get an adjustment that day because they need time, as a team, to look over your x-rays and decide the best treatment plan. I made an appointment for the next available day to get in. Dr. Thomas called me in the evening just to make sure I did not have further questions. The next appointment was in a group setting where Sara told us about how chiropractic helped her before Dr. Michael came and explained the technique to us. If you like the twisting, popping, back cracking - this place will not be for you. I personally loathe that technique and it actually scares me because I always wondered how you could ever be accurate and it reminds me of a Kung Fu movie! The technique they use is very specific and very gentle...and quite cool in my opinion. After the group session, I went back with Dr. Thomas. Dr. Thomas explained everything to me and answered all my questions regarding my x-rays and I had a lot of them. What he said made perfect sense to me and the care seemed so affordable after the numbers that were rolling around in my head. My health will always be my priority as well so it was not really an option anyway. I met Dr. Weston next who did my first adjustment (another amazing Doc.) I only had one segment adjusted because they want to see how you respond to it and try to not upset your muscles. Dr. Weston explained everything from start to finish and called that evening to make sure I was doing ok and had any questions. I really like that it is something that is done with a little tool, so it does not matter which amazing Dr. you get..the procedure and results are the same. I went in the next day to get the rest of it. I really liked this because I can be super sensitive to the slightest change and did not want to feel wonky. This morning, after one little segment of adjustment I could move better. I think I even sneezed without tears! I went back for the adjustment today and already the pain has diminished and my muscles feel a little more chill and no Ben-Gay! I am so thankful. This is not like a typical chiropractor but more of a wellness clinic. The goal is not only to get you out of pain but it is to help you have the best health to do the things you love and live the life you want with radiant health and well-being. It is amazing all the things good chiropractic care can help with! Oh, also...except for the beginning appointments the adjustments are super quick. Adio has quite the snazzy system set up making it super efficient which I appreciate! I was intending to resume treatment this fall with my entire family after settlement with insurance company, but my hands are tied. Their treatment had relieved major sciatica pain! We found Dr. Michael and his amazing team while at a show in Denver. I have always been skeptical of chiropractors, but my wife and I got their free assessment at the show. We followed this with a meet the doc session at the beautiful office. We then got another free assessment with Dr. Michael. As with others, we were offered x-rays (which they discounted for us) and then presented with a plan. Our plan was for 1 year of treatment for my wife and I. As we didn't have insurance, Dr. Michael gave us his normal cost for this, then explained he had a family cap the was below the cost and gave us this price. We asked about the family price as we have 4 children. He said all 6 of us would be included at the family capped price!!! We have been with ADIO for almost a year and the changes were almost instant in many of us. No more leg cramps, reduced or eliminated acid reflux, reduction in migraines, no more depression, even an improvement in ADHD symptoms with one of our children. Dr. Michael has not only help our bodies, he genuinely cares about our family, always asking about the kids (they go every other week). He even cares about one of the kids that has moved out. His staff know my voice over the phone and knew our names int he first few visits. They even invited us to the baby shower for Tara, it feels like one big family not a bunch of patients and a doctor. I have had A TON of experience with chiropractic in my past. With scoliosis I have tried treatment programs and maintenance practices for the last 15 years. I had enjoyed and appreciated what those practices had to offer me, but when I found Adio, I really wanted to see what they were about and how their treatment could help me. I have been receiving treatment for almost a month and can say I am experiencing pain relief in the form of less sharp pain and less radiating pain. You have to pay up front, even with insurance that covers you. Then they put you in a small room trying to get you to sign up for 50 visits per year. At one of my sittings, I was left there for 40 minutes before they would make an adjustment. This was a one minute adjustment using an activator that pings on your back. I paid in full $75 for xrays. When I asked for my xrays, they charged me $15 for a 30 cent disc. They also charged $75 for a "new patient exam through insurance" which indicates they charged me $75 to call my insurance company. Buyer beware. They do not care about patients. They spend more time upselling the monthly plan than talking about your health or progress. They also made an addition error on my first invoice, told me they would not charge me for it, but they did. They owe me a refund and told me it would be 60-90 days. High pressure tactics are used here. If I could, I would give 0 stars. read more

I wish I had looked at the better business bureau's review before they took $75 from me. They were awarded a F by the bureau which I agree with. As soon as I walked in I knew something thing was off due to the multiple screens of people sharing their "testimonies." I was then shuffled through the office to look at pictures of pregnant women and newborn babies that have been adjusted. Then I was shown their success wall that showcased even more "testimonies." The lady giving me a tour sounded like a robot repeating a script for the 1000th time. Not once did I feel that they cared about my health. They continuously used the word scientific and made the interaction extremely impersonal. This place is way too focused on proving their success, which probably means it is all a hoax. They then rolled a weird "NASA" device on my back and claimed they needed X-Rays that would cost me an additional $200. Which I have experienced at other chiropractors, however every other chiropractor adjusted me at the initial appointment after reviewing my XRay with me. They refused to adjust me even if I had gotten the X-Rays. and I never once met the chiropractor. I was in extreme pain and needed relief. I left feeling very frustrated. read more

She suggested a consult, and I again asked, is this considered soft tissue chiropractory, I do not know what qualifies. I've been to several chiropractors in my life but this place did not feel like a chiropractic office at all. I walked in to see if I could make an appointment, what I received was a very rehearsed sales pitch that made me feel like I was on a used car lot. I filled out a booklet of paperwork, in which the last page, a Family Health form, was an obvious ploy to get family referrals. I'm glad I read everything carefully because they clearly state there is a consultation, which is free, and a $75 assessment. The consultation consists of a quick tour of the office where I was told all about the things they do for pregnant ladies and their children, and then taken past the rooms where they do the adjustments. 1. I while I don't remember exactly what she called these rooms, she used the word scientific. If I'm in a Dr's office I'm already assuming everything is scientific, so why try to persuade me on that? 2. In "science room #2" a woman was laying on the floor crying. Since these "scientific rooms" don't have doors I could see people getting adjustments, and this woman in her personal moment puddled up on the floor. I have a hard time imagining myself in her situation while a perspective client is walked past the room while being told how much this office cares about the community enough to have canned food drives. I also didn't get the impression anyone cared about this crying woman enough to think twice about it. I was then led to a room where I was under the impression the free consultation would begin. What I was given was a brochure that still didn't explain how this was a chiropractic office but a vague paragraph claiming the Dr. had cured someone of being deaf by addressing subluxations (a partial dislocation) in the spine. The rest of the brochure read like a Scientology business card, in which I mean there was a strong cult vibe. A different "saleswoman in nurses scrubs" came in and explained why AIDO is not only a Chiropractic office, but better because they have an FDA approved scanner. The scanner once again reminded me of the Scientologist and their Thetans E-meter. She also told me that spinal subluxations are responsible for everything from headaches to diverticulitis. Diverticulitis is a tear in the intestine that creates a pocket where food and waste cause infection. I'm not a Dr, but I don't understand how a spinal adjustment is going to repair a tear in the intestinal wall. I was then handed a gown and asked to undress from the waist up for the assessment. That's it, that was the free consultation. No conversation with a Dr. No real conversation at all. My "BS" alarm had been going off since the consultation started and rather than continue with the assessment I got up and walked out, explaining I wanted to see a real chiropractor. I don't usually leave reviews, but I had a bad taste in my mouth for a few hours after visiting this office. I felt like they were selling false promises. Now, I admit I didn't get treatment here, so I could be wrong, but I didn't feel like I was signing up for a Dr as much as I was being sold a new religion. As for the 5 star reviews, as another person has already posted, they are in fact giving away a free iPad to customers who post positive reviews on social media. Maybe AIDO is real, maybe people are actually getting results, I didn't give them a chance to find out. I have used Chiropractic for many years and I know the value of it as well as the usual requirements for a care plan. ADIO in Golden brought me in, charged me for X Rays, and gave me my "first" appointment, a SINGLE adjustment of ONE vertebrae. I made a second appointment, came in on my lunch break, and they "needed to discuss my plan" twice that same day, using up my entire lunch break, after I had already told them previously what I could afford and was willing to do. They used up all my time and I had to leave without getting my appointment. In my opinion, they will only work with you if you agree to an expensive monthly plan. Your care in not their first concern, but whether or not you're willing to sign on the dotted line to pay them more than you tell them you can afford. It's ridiculous and I'm happy now to travel a distance to go back to my previous chiropractor where I know I can trust them and they only charge me for services I receive. I've never in my life been bullied like that to "accept" services. No thank you. read more

First of all let me just say how gorgeous this place is!! I've honestly never seen a more beautiful chiropractic practice. Tara and the staff are warm, inviting and very efficient. They are all super helpful with answering any questions and letting you know about cool upcoming events. Dr. Michael is hilarious, great with kids, and his adjustments are specific and fast so I'm quickly in and out of the office and can continue my day! Highly recommend ADIO chiropractic!! read more

My wife and I have nothing but good things to say about ADIO. We have been going to see Dr. Michael for about 6 months and have never felt better. I had knee & reflux problems as well as frequent headaches when we started going. My wife had back problems, headaches and sciatica. We would go to our regular doctor and be prescribed medication for the problems, never having the problem actually fixed. I could have been the poster boy for Tylenol, I took so much. We haven't been back to our doctor since we started with ADIO and have actually stopped taking some of our medications. I haven't needed a Tylenol in months. I had one problem with one of the admin persons but, she has found other employment. Everyone at ADIO is friendly and goes out of their way to assist us. They take the time to be very specific with figuring out how to best care for you. Dr. Michael is an amazing doctor who truly cares for each person who he sees comes into the practice. High pressure sales at its worst. The pitch says a "free" evaluation but when you go in you are required to submit to x-rays that aren't part of the "evaluation" for a hefty fee. They want you to spend another hour attending yet another appointment. Finally, on your third visit they will make adjustments. I felt gross the entire time I was there as if they were trying to sign people up to join a cult or pay too much for a time share they will never use. If your "medicine" really works then why is it necessary to take up people's busy schedules with 3 different appointments until you get to the medicine part and pretend like they will get a full evaluation and then pull the switch and bate with additional x-rays? A total waste of time and I felt dirty after listening to the pitch. It felt like a big swindle which is bizarre. If the services provided are effective, then why do they feel the need to do the hard sell? $$$$$ Go to someone who actually cares about relieving your pain instead of these people who obviously want as many clients with as little time as possible spent with each one (after they make you feel like you've spent days with them in the initial meetings) so they can line their pockets with as much of your money as possible. read more
