What a frustrating shopping experience. One would think during the busy holiday shopping season, the goal of retailers - once consumers have made it into their stores because of their dazzling advertisements or quality of their merchandise - is to ensure that they take in as much money and process as many customers as possible; while making the patrons' shopping experience delightful. This was far from what I would be accustom to (unless I was shopping intentionally at Walmart) as we were made to wait an inordinate amount of time for three customers ahead of us who had complicated transactions to process. Noticing that there were three cash terminals, only one person manning the cash registers, and a number of salespeople working the floors, it was frustrating to stew in line. Having engaged someone who appears to be the store manager (name tag says, Jay), he informed me that the second cashier had called in sick. Throughout our exchange, it felt felt like he was telling me to patiently wait. He then went to assist other customers, and when he was done, I inquired why they cannot open up another register? To which he offered that not everyone is qualified to work the registers. I suspect Adidas has an extremely high standard of hiring where each employee has very specific and rigid role; irregardless of what's logical and what is beneficial to shoppers. Being annoyed and further infuriated with the lack of customer service (although he was fairly pleasant), I found my shopping experience excruciating. I think my attitude of Adidas was too generous prior to this experience. Going forward, I'll adjust my expectations to what I would be subjected to by taking the TTC (albeit with a pleasant driver). [As an aside, to add insult to injury. After waiting for about 10 minutes in line, once we approached the only cashier working, the said "manager" served the next customer behind us; thus, opening up a second register. I love Adidas Generally, I order online because I know exactly what I want. I've entered this store several times. The biggest issue is that they can be low on stock sometimes. That's partly because of the location. People can buy out your size pretty fast. Also, there are sometimes long queues for shoes when the store is busy. I've had good experiences with staff here. They have helped me order online when they were out of my size, determine the quality of various products, and find Adidas gear that was unavailable in store read more

Really not sure why this place even exists with the lack of customer service skills that were ever present in this store. Adidas head office should be embarrassed to even have this establishment under operation, because any other Adidas store I've walked into (I've been a long time customer of the brand), I have zero issues. I just don't understand how such a prime location does so horribly with customer service when YOU'RE AT THE EPITOME OF DOWNTOWN TORONTO AND YOU HAVE THE MOST TOURISTS COMING TO THAT AREA ALONE. Makes no sense, right? I came with a friend yesterday around 3pm (Tuesday August 1st), and no one even asked to help when there were 5 employees just standing around being rowdy (are all the employees teenagers here?? Because that's what their professional work attitude reflected from what I saw). I say that because I walked by 3 employees (all young) who ignored me, and as I asked a guy (younger employee) if I can go into the changeroom to try on 3 items, he didn't even ANSWER ME! All he did was take me to the change room and opened the door - didn't ask if I needed any additional help after, or make any conversation - just did what I asked, and nothing more and it genuinely looked as though he didn't want to be there. After this experience, it just deterred me so bad that I didn't even bother buying the pants I tried on and wanted to buy; I didn't bother looking at the rest of the clothes; nor go upstairs for that matter because why bother being there to get ignored? Nah thanks. This store is a complete disappointment. I'd rather recommend going to the Adidas store all the way at Scarborough Town Centre - all the employees are ideal and actually do their job by helping others, and even any other Adidas store or vendor like Nordstrom, especially in the States / Soho NY - like I said, I've never had any issues with any Adidas store until I went to this grand wasteland. Ouff, people have had some bad times in this Adidas store. I, fortunately, was not one of them. I popped in a few days before Christmas like the last minute shopper I am, and they were already rocking some pretty great sales. I got myself and my baby some matching Stan Smiths, and took note of their old school clothing collection on the second floor. If you like Adidas for athletic reasons, or even fashion reasons like me, you'll enjoy this palatial Toronto flagship. read more

This store is very disappointing in terms of stock, selection and service. They call this the Adidas Performance store? and yet they still have the adidas original products on the second floor? That does not really make any sense. The layout is terrible too as there is a lot of empty space in the store. Comparing it to other stores like Nike, this store just does not live up to that Adidas name. I rather just shop on the online adidas Canada website than visit this store at all. From one of my experiences, I went upstairs and wanted to try something on. The employee working on the second floor said the fitting rooms were on the 1st floor so I went but no one was working at the fitting rooms. I tried to find someone but literally no one was working on the floor. After 5 minutes of searching, the employee from the second floor came down and went to the fitting room to open the door for me. Literally, the service is not great. In general, Adidas Canada gives this prime location store in the heart of Toronto no love. read more

Toronto FC fans, here's one totally Awesome store to get all the gear you need to show your Fan Spirit before watching the next game. This store is GORGEOUS! And the Toronto FC gear is located at the main entrance to the store, just off Yonge Street. It's a large, spacious floor plan, with all the latest and greatest design features one would expect from a new store in a fabulous new building. You can gape at the signature three stripe lighting that leads from the entrance to the cash desk elegantly, yet somewhat discreetly. Then check out the cool displays. Not to mention the gently curving stairs to get to the second floor. Great Layout! I especially loved the display upstairs where the soccer player in the poster appears to break through the plastic with his cleat while kicking the ball so hard it actually does break out of the sign. COOL!!! Every mannequin is set up to look like they are participating in a sports activity appropriate to the gear they are sporting (cheesy, I know, but still cool..). The actual merchandise is gorgeous and priced competitively. There are lots of work out gear (high tech tanks, tees, shorts, jackets, warm up suits, and right now at least they have the most beautiful and functional collection of Tennis gear for Chicks. Check out the white tennis dress with lots of light, breathable fabric that still allows for lots of movement. They really got it with that one. For all you guys out there, the tanks and tees available are both handsome and functional. Then again, would you ever expect anything less from Adidas? Did I mention the latest and greatest selection of the ever popular Adidas shoes? They are so comfortable. What can we say, there's a reason Adidas is so popular... As for the staff, they were very friendly, approachable, and really knew the merchandise. This is definitely a store I will be going back to soon. read more

For having such a prime spot at the corner of Yonge and Dundas, I would have thought the selection would be better. While the space appears to be large, with two floors, the selection of items is rather narrow. For soccer items, there are several soccer-only stores that offer a much greater selection of shoes and clothing. The footwear category in general seems limited and small. This location comes across like an "outlet" store however I don't believe it is supposed to be one. Even the Adidas stores in outlet malls have a greater selection and if you compare what Adidas has online, this store does not have even a third of that selection. And although that is somewhat common, there are several popular models that should be in-store.. As for the layout, it seems a little cramped around the main cash desk on the main floor. The upper floor is a little more spacious but really nothing special. I think most Sport Chek stores have more Adidas products that this location. read more

The service sucks!!! Called one night to get a soccer jersey put on hold in a med and lrg, talked to a male employee, and first asked him to see if they had a certain jersey in stock a bayern munich one to be exact. He told me that they had a med and lrg in this jersey, so I asked him to put them on hold for the next day as I would come in and try them on to get the best fitting one. The next day I went in after work to pick it up, and they didn't even get the jersey in, like it wasn't even in stock, the girl who helped me had know idea who the team was, which goes to show the staff doesn't even know the product, that's what happens when you hire kids that don't care. I called the store and "kevin" picked up. i asked if he could put something on hold for me, and he just said in an extremely demeaning tone... "we dont do holds durring sales" and hung up. The day before i called and a girl had no problem sticking it on hold for me, so it bothered me that i knew he was lying. i've had horrible customer service there multiple times. (stay away from mike) I love the brand and i love that store, but the people there make me dread having to go into it. I usually just head over to the adidas on queen w. if im just looking for originals. or SVP sports if im looking for something more athletic. read more

I was tricked! ... I bought a particular type of soccer cleats because the sales person said I could use them for both in-doors and out-doors. I tried them out-doors and fell a couple of time. The "double" purpose shoes are not for double purpose. There are only for in-doors. I went to exchange them for an out-door cleats, but the manager kept asking for receipts ... I don't know about folks but I don't keep receipts of all the things I buy, but the store should have been able to exchange it since, its the sales person's fault for not knowing what he was talking about. read more
