It also wouldn't fit on the sign so forgive them for their misleading tagline, it's turned them into a well deserved tourist spot. If there was a joke that went along the lines of 'how many tourists can you fit in to a novelty shop in Greenwich' the answer would be here on a Saturday. It's packed with them Everywhere. They jump out of corners at you. But I can understand why. Go to Greenwich, buy a compass. I never have, but if someone gave me a compass I'd be really pleased. I think they're romantic. Which makes me sound wierd. They actually don't sell tat in here. It's got some great stuff. Barometers and things like that. Of course, just the kind of stuff you need in your modern flat. It's not going to be everyones idea of a cool shop, but it's a great part of Greenwich and it's worth going in just for that. Bet you come out with a little toy boat.

I bought a pair of football boots for my son. After using them just one time we found that a stud…read morewas missing - fallen out in the grass. Now the boots are very uncomfortable to wear. I then took them to the store for a return. They refused on the basis that I should have screwed them tight before wearing them, being utterly oblivious to the fact that the boots were not fit for purpose when we bought them. If I was supposed to screw them tight before wearing them, why did the shop assistant not ask me to do this? Better still, why didn't they do it as they checked the boots' size before we bought them. It would have taken no more than 30 seconds. And best of all why doesn't the factory (Adidas) make them so they are actually screwed in properly. I will never walk into to this dreadful shop ever again.

I am an amateur runner just starting out but they also seem to cater for all runners including the much more advanced than me! This didnt stop them advising me on what shoes were appropriate for me without making me feel like I wasnt important to them, as some athletic shops do if you are not part of the elite. They also have a rather impresive running machine that they can film you to chech your running style. I hear they moved from a smaller unit down the same street, I guess great service and good products does pay off!!

They sell everything from football stuff to hunting, shooting and fishing. During the winter months they have a cheap and extensive range of ski wear and ski equipment and you can kit out the whole family easily. In the summer this changes to beach stuff and hiking gear such as boots, trousers and jackets. If you can't find what you need here it probably doesn't exist.
