She was professional and friendly and very willing to answer my questions. She was responsive to my emails and phone calls and was excellent at explaining what was happening. I liked her so much that I had her do the 2012 tax returns as well (early, since the business was sold). I am so thankful for the work she did for me.

You upload your documents to a "secure site" (which is a joke I think? My browser gave me a warning about it not being secure and someone could be trying to steal my information - LOLZ!). Then you dont hear back from them for over a month. April 15th passes, no word. Luckily the tax deadline was extended this year (2021). When you call, you are told "its being reviewed and they will reach out to you, probably today." No one does. The next week you call again and they say the same thing. Then someone does reach out to you, huzzah! But it's not the person who did your taxes to go over them with you. That would be helpful. Instead you hear from the receptionist telling you your taxes are done and what you owe them and the government. Okay. Great. You look at your taxes and shit you owe A LOT. You're not used to owing SO MUCH. If you happen to have a question about something, they treat you like you're an annoying idiot and say "I've only been doing taxes for 34 years, I think I know the law..." Mmkkk. Yes, thats the reason you, and not me, are doing my taxes. And I'm ignorant, so I have questions. Jesus, I'm not attacking your intelligence. On the contrary, I'm seeking information to understand. If there is a mistake with the paperwork (payment math isnt adding up to the total balance, the first payment shows its already past due), when you ask about it, they tell you Tracy is busy and won't be able to look at whether the information is correct, for a month. A month, seriously. Your tax paperwork has errors and they can't even look at it to check their own work within a reasonable time frame. You need this information to be accurate because you need to take action on the information (the first payment is due in a couple weeks). Or is it already past due? Its too bad you're unimportant enough to get prompt service. I dont understand why someone else other than Tracy can look it over. She didnt even do them in the first place. Someone else there did. Not great service.

In my case, I had just learned my party was leaving the country & I just recieved their adress. I…read moreneeded to serve someone in their home city on a Thursday night and if I had no luck, I needed another process server to serve the person in a entirely different city on Friday. The urgency was that the person was leaving the country on Saturday. I called several process servers in both cities and had difficulty getting a response. Though I worked with a very responsive server in the city for Friday and I paid him (as it was getting late, 5p, on Thursday and I wasn't getting any calls back about serving the party on Thursday... Even the butte county sheriff's office neglected for an entire two weeks to call me back) eventually Amber from AW Legal services called me back. I was frustrated that I had lost the money (due to the lack of responsiveness from several places in Chico) from paying the other processor for the Friday job. However once Amber called, we discussed the entire process, the identification information, and her pricing. I had a fee waiver for the county, but you can't use it if they never call you back so I was happy to find that Amber's pricing is extremely reasonable!!! I made the payment and I advised the Friday process server (in the Friday city), right away, that I might be able to get it done that evening (with AW Legal) but the chances were slim. He told me to let him know if I got it done. Shocked as all get out, Amber, with only basic address info (wasn't 100% sure about the way the apartment # was written) managed to serve the party within two hours. But here's the icing on the cake... My paralegal had multiple misscommunications with myself & Amber in regards to getting the original paperwork from Amber so that it could be delivered to the court. Eventually, I had to cut out the middle man and (2 weeks after service) ask Amber to please send it directly to me. She paid out of her pocket to overnight it to me. This act alone deserves five stars! I was extremely thankful. Amber will send you simple smile emojis, one word answers, and she's not very verbose in her texts (Lol) but she gets to the point, will get the job done, quickly, and correctly. And she is the type that will stick with you until it is done! I couldn't have been happier with her kindness, her commitment to completing the job, her relaxed nature (at a time that is stressful to her clients), and her professionalism.

I had a problem with an accountant before her, and I hired her to help me fix the issue, which as far as the returns go she did. I also asked her to help me deal with FTB about the debt, and she basically did some procedure with them that took 6 months, before which I HIGHLIGHTED REPEATEDLY that I did not want to pay more interest, she responded that that account would be on hold and there would be no interest. Well at the end of 6 months, I ended up having to take the matter into my own hands, pay nearly 2000.00 dollars in interest. When ever I have any questins about anything I have to wait 2 weeks to a month, and our appointments never seem to resolve anything I repeatedly ended up calling FTB myself to resolve it. I am now about to pay more money for something she did and didnt take responsibility for. if you want straight forward work done, she will do a good job, but don't hire her to clean up any messes, it will end bad. I am grateful for her help, but it was AGONIZINGLY SLOW, and disappointing to have to do everything extra myself. I dont know that first thing about talking with FTB, or maneuvering their systems, and I was forced to resolve 'clean up' part of the issue my self, paying over 5000+$ for a bill that was originally 1800.00 or 2000. She made excuses that seemed legit but was really hiding behind the confusion left by the man who messed it all up in the first place (before I hired her) the extra money was over 60% interest for her mis information, and misleading me by telling me that the account would be on hold, and despite me asking and insisting if that meant NO INTEREST, AND HER SAYING YES THATS WHAT IT MEANT, I payed the interest.
