This review is based on just one home visit under their Mother and Baby Home Health Services…read moreProgram. They are affiliated with CPMC. I give this program five stars because of the nurse who came to my house. Her name is Emily Skaff and she is so terrific. The way she talks and explains things is so soothing and she just seems like a person who genuinely enjoys what she does. She had such a gentle nature both my husband and myself really enjoyed talking with her. As first time parents, we don't know much so we asked a bunch of questions. She answered them all. She offered to check out my stitches but I said it's ok. So the home nurses do everything: physical assessment of baby and mom, and wound care for episiotomy if you want. For nurse Emily, I give her five stars on her home visit. It cost $290, by the way. If you get her to do your home visit, you are lucky! She was here for about an hour. She brought a lot of stuff and also a scale to weigh the baby. She cleaned everything off with antibacterial gel afterward. I think Emily is wonderful.

My…read moredad's experience as the patient and my experience as the person doing all the coordination and making sure my dad gets what he needs as been awful. The staff changes all the time and they don't communicate with each other. They let my dad run out of supplies and left him in the wrong set up over the weekend. Then they told me that they couldn't order the right supplies. This was after they'd been "caring" for him for many months. There have been several other serious issues that I won't detail in this review. If you have any other option, use that instead of Sutter.

I've probably met a dozen caregivers over time, and sad to say, many are phoning it in. Calling SF Home care is a great relief. From the initial conversation with David you know you can relax. All of the people who work at SF Home care have the same attitude. They do personal care very well, but they do more than that. They take everything a step further, food prep is better, socializing is better. They have a program that connects clients with others who enjoy similar hobbies and activities. Kat picked me up from my major elective surgery and took the absolute best care of me for five days. I was coming in from out of town and stayed at a facility nearby the surgery center that she recommended (Hideaway House in San Jose- it was perfect), where she stayed in another bedroom. She was phenomenal at making sure I was comfortable, fed healthy, fresh-prepared foods, and took all meds on time. She was reassuring and positive, a professional/expert on all medical elements of the surgery, and just so kind. Her rates were very reasonable, and I really feel it's the best money I've ever spent because those first few days set the tone for a really positive recovery. She kept in communication with my husband, who needed to be back home to take care of our young kids, and I didn't have to focus on anything except recovery.
