From the moment I arrived, the stylist treated me with such professionalism and care. My hair is very rebellious and hard to manage, but she truly knows what she's doing -- you can tell she's an expert and loves her craft. We finished a bit late because the process takes time, but it was absolutely worth it. I'm in love with the result -- my hair is silky, shiny, and perfectly straight. I'll post an update after my first wash to confirm how it holds up, but for now I can say this is the best Japanese straightening I've ever had. Highly recommended!

I've told him that I wanted to keep my side bangs, thin my hair (since it grows out really thick) and have a length and style that would work well with curled hair. He's always delivered on my requests and he's also made sure I knew how it'd turn out before he worked on my hair, in case it might turn out a bit different from what I expected. He's really easy to talk to and a great communicator! I've gone to many hair stylists over the few years, many of them were over priced (especially in New York City), and to be honest, I've never really liked my hair cuts until I went to Ricky. Most of the time I've been okay with my new cuts, but with him, I've been really happy with how the fresh cuts looks! I can also speak for my sister who has also gotten a haircut from him. She and I both have agreed to continue going to him instead of our NYC hair stylists in the future. There was an incident where the person at the cashier accidentally overcharged us and we asked Ricky about the cost. He was extremely courteous and immediately helped us fix the situation. Would definitely recommend him to more people! --------- The salon is very clean, sleek and modern. I love the unrushed head massages as well. I'd post the haircuts I received if I wasn't so camera shy.

I'm totally dating myself by saying that because I got my hair done for my Bat Mitzvah there...well over a decade ago. Anyway, my hair is in a perpetual state of mess- it's long, thin, dry, frizzy, and disgusting to say the least, so when it comes to things like a simple blowout, I get nervous. Not wanting to spend your standard $40-60 on such a simple procedure, my mom recommended I go to Le Salon. She went a few months ago to get her hair done for a wedding and loved the results at the beautiful price of...$25! The morning of my graduation party I already stubbornly made an appointment for a blowout at a different salon, but when my mom recommended this one, I dialed immediately. George, the owner, answered and he was very accommodating for my last minute needs. I walked in to the same salon I frequented years ago and everything looked the same (it was always a nice place, and it still is), except upstairs is a boutique (I didn't check it out so I can't comment on it, but it seems they have some nice handbags up there). After getting shampooed, Gladys did my hair. I told her my long list of hair problems and showed her a few pictures of blowouts in the past that I liked to give her an idea of what I wanted. She was friendly and maintained conversation with me the whole time. I felt like I got the most thorough hair analysis ever. She has an incredible eye for detail, works her brush and blowdryer magically, and gave me so many recommendations on hair treatment and upkeep I ended up making a list for myself to stay on track with my haircare maintenance. Like I preivously mentioned, my hair is a disaster. Because it's so thin, blowouts never look "full" enough. Not this time. My hair looked...luxurious. Seriously, I haven't seen body like that in years. I'd also like to point out that the salon wasn't busy at all when I was there and Gladys spent an entire hour with me talking, giving suggestions, and even doing a mini photo shoot! Great place, I'll definitely be back next time I'm in town and in need of a good hairdo.
