He came out and remodeled my bathroom…read more He took out a roman tub and placed a large shower in place with a closet and new tile on the floor. He proceeded to do the tile work. It was down within three weeks. During this time after the tile work on the floor was done. It took almost 8 months and 4 times to get a vanity delivered to the house that was not damaged. During this time the grout has been starting to crack in places. I was having major surgery done and he said would come back and take care of the tile repairs and fix the grout that has been falling apart after my surgeries. I'm still waiting for him to come out and fix these issues that I'm having. He says he's going to come out and never shows up when he says he's gonna be there. He has stood me up several times without any communicatio. I'm sorry but my time is as valuable as his. Please think twice and get some reviews from other people besides me before using this man. Other than the fact he's very nice and I could trust him in my house.I can't trust his word on fixing what needs to be fixed. If I could leave the stars blank I would. But the one star has to be here to write the review. I have a huge mess on my hands now with a bathroom that needs help!!

Our new screens are way beyond the run-of-the-mill stuff usually seen in our area. We joke about "these are the last screens we'll ever need." Can't say enough about these guys! I own rental properties and have worked with Nu Room for many…read moreyears on about 15+ projects. They always do fantastic work, do what they say, on time, at the price they quoted. They do superior work at a fair price, leave the job site clean, and about as easy to work with as any I've ever known. They have mostly installed new metal roofs for me, but also carpentry work. But based on the skill-sets I've observed, I would feel confidant they could do anything with a high level of performance. I've learned in my 30+ years of hiring contractors, that when you find a competent crew at a fair price, stick with them. Usually attempting to find and hire a lessor expensive contractor (cheap) will cost you money in the end. You will not go wrong with Nu Room Construction!!

Here we go again - I've had problems with my plumbing since he built the house in 2021. I did not…read moreactually live in the house until 2024. I have had to replace my floors twice, I have had up my septic dug up and reconfigured the pipes that were sticking in the mud and in the air. I have had the.pipes in the badement changed. I have incurred over $10,000 in expenses and my toilet is bubbling and dirty water has backed up into my shower again tonight. I asked Chris to stand by his product and he basically blew me off and hung up on me. He says I am past the 1 year warranty, but guess what it has never worked and he claims because he came out 1 time and claimed there were wipes in it, he has no liability. He is absurd and irresponsible. We only visited the house on weekends occasionally for 3 years and there was just me and my husband. The problems began in 2021 and they continue.

So far disappointed with the quality. The joints on our slide don't line up well on most seems and…read morewe have about a 1/4" gap at the top of two joints (both sides) where those joints are closed at the bottom. I reached out to the company and was told the following (I've quoted from the owner's response so as to not misrepresent): 1) "Our slides are high quality, manufactured exactly the same as commercial slides but unfortunately with fiberglass there can be less than perfect alignments; this is considered minor in the fiberglass world." 2) "There are a couple of joints that look like maybe the Sikaflex sealant dried before the flumes were pulled together tightly with the bolts. If the joints were to be taken apart after the Sikaflex has dried you run the risk of damaging/tearing the fiberglass because the sealant is so strong, so we feel it is best just to add sealant to these joints." 3) "Vance has installed several of our slides and we haven't had complaints from any of his customers and we haven't had this type complaint from any of our customers." 4) "Your slide looks great overall" So basically 1-2) it's not their fault if parts don't fit right (maybe the installer, maybe the fiberglass, maybe the sealant); 3) I have nothing to complaint about; because 4) my slide looks great. For how much this thing costs, I disagree. I'm sure the thing will function once we goop some more sealant in the joints, but it sure won't look as nice as what you see on their website. You can look at the pictures and decide for yourself if I'm being too picky, but I don't like paying more than double what others cost to have it look like this. I will say that I appreciated them at least responding to me promptly. Hopefully these issues can still be resolved, but definitely not getting my hopes up over the extra sealant option.
