It's been a while I had good Indian food in this area and it seems like a great place. We ordered kadhai paneer and lamb chops and both turned out great. Point to note for ourselves is to order spice level as hot for myself and medium for my white American bf whose spice tolerance isn't as high like myself but more than a mild for sure. Service was great. It is a family run business so the owner himself comes out to take feedback and talk to the guests that shows us the dedication in running this place.. we have to come back again for this as I want to try their biryanis. We will be back soon.

Every dish I order is exactly the flavor profile, the spice level, the everything I want it to be. I've eaten a lot of Indian food, but this place never misses. Favorites are the Cholay, Palak Paneer, Butter Chicken, Chicken 65, Pakoras, Chili cheese naan, and the veggie samosas, but I have never had anything less than tasty. Put the green chili chutney on everything. Only complaint is they used to have dessert options of gulab jamun or kheer, and I don't think they offer the kheer since dine-in cratered during Covid. Could be wrong, but it was delicious and I miss it. Love you Phulkari Punjabi!

The truth is, I don't want to share. I will hoard my precious bowls of butter chicken and forget all decorum. There is something beguiling about this sauce... and yes, I realize I'm talking about food. But you have to try this dish to understand my devotion. It is about more than the flavor which is incredibly layered, but it's so silky and rich that I could probably drink it by the cupful. Yes, I'm talking about food, don't look at me! Let me just eat in peace, with a giant spoon and a bib. I will even use a veil to hide my shame. The service is always friendly and lovely, and I think they might be a little worried when the tall white lady comes in all wild eyed and hungry. The ambiance is fine, as far as I know, my singular mission is to obtain the butter chicken, I am not sure if they have tables and chairs. The menu looks incredible, with recipes that are probably just as delicious as the butter chicken. But here is my problem... if I try another dish that is just as good as the BC, then what do I do?! I will be back here with another confession even more delicious.

They had a bank of TVs on, which did not really fit with the vibe of an Indian restaurant, but the sound was off, so it was OK. When we first entered - on the late side, for us - the place was not very crowded. However, the number of patrons increased, and it was quite full by the time we were partway through our meal. Now, the food. I got the Lamb Kadi, which was something a bit different for me. A good mix of lamb, tomatoes, onions, garlic, bell pepper and seasoning. Generous portion, and quite tasty - I took some home. The co-diner got his go-to entree, the chicken saag. He found it a bit of a departure from the saag he has had elsewhere, but enjoyable. Service was quite efficient, despite the fact that the establishment was operating short-handed, and the owner had to step in and help. All ini all, we were glad to have discovered Royal Oak Masala, and would be glad to come back and further explore its offerings.

The older staffer seems more friendly and checked up on us. Ordered 2 dall soup, medium spice: Gobi Manchurian, Chana masala, dal tadka, butter chicken and mango chicken hot spice. 3 Naan and one rice with each main dish. $78.37 Gobi isn't crispy at all, soggy, it's okay. Not spicy. Heavy breading. The cauliflower falls out of some of the breading. The Daal soup is good, although quite watery. The mango and butter chicken sauce flavors are good, the spicy is definitely got a healthy kick. The chicken pieces are big chunks and they are dry and overcooked. The butter naan is good soft and billowy. The Chana and dal tadka tasted okay, although I did find either a white hair or white stringy lint in the Chana. I was told it might be onion or ginger. Some tandoori chicken is smoking and it's making us cough some. It's tickling our noses. We had to pay quickly and get out of there.

The naans were fluffy and crispy, not gritty or burnt. Medium spice level on entrees is spicy, but not painful. Perfect. The tandoori chicken was absolutely phenomenal. Looking at their menu, I really struggled to pick a single thing to order - everything sounded so good. I went with a basic butter chicken with garlic naan order. This was incredibly creamy and buttery, the perfect comfort food. I also got the meat samosas which I truly believe are the best samosas I have ever had. Absolutely stuffed with lamb and had incredible flavor. I wanted to venture with some Indo-Chinese as well, ordering the mango chicken. This was not a good dish in my opinion. The sweetness was way too much and the texture of the chicken was mushy. My only complaint overall was this dish, I feel like it fails in a lot of ways. I will not let this dim the meal as a whole though; everything else was incredible. Definitely check this spot out, the inside was small and they were very busy with dine-in and takeout orders, so plan ahead for a wait!

Keep seeing lots of folks picking up orders and double parking their cars in the driveway to come in and pick up their carry out orders. Ordered starter Gobi Manchurian, veggie samosa, 2 dal soup, Chana masala, Tarka daal, mushroom bhaji and tandoori chicken. $94.24 They gave us the crunchy thin Papadum. Be careful while eating that the seasoning on top doesn't flip up into your eyes, it did that to my husband. He flicked off the seasoning so it wouldn't do it again. The Papadum is good. There was a random empty water bottle at the table. Table top is peeling, needs a refinish. I would put the fly strip in a more discrete spot and not hang it in the vestibule behind the counter. The samosas are good, dough is nice and light, like a wonton and it's packed with potatoes, peas and corn, which is a bit odd. It's better with some chutney. The Gobi Manchurian tastes good, just not crispy at all. The lentil soup is scalding, it's good. I like the roasted garlic in the soup and added some lemon to it as well. The Chana masala is okay, they put potatoes in it as filler instead of more chick peas. Other than the potatoes, it's good. The butter chicken is rather sweet, it's still pretty good. I am glad the chicken chunks aren't too big in this dish. Not a fan when it seems like the pieces are half a breast of chicken. Mushrooms aren't too bad. Not special. The lentils are good. Their garlic naan tastes sweet, almost, it's decent. The tandoori chicken is good.

Not only is the inside clean, neatly decorated, and spacious, but the man who owns the business is really kind. When we finally arrived, he stopped and chatted with us briefly and made us feel really welcome. He answered all of our questions about the menu and the food and we even got to take advantage of the lunch special prices. What was really cool is that I'm from Los Angeles and he has a cousin who owns a restaurant there too - that felt like a nice happenstance and synchronicity.
