When I moved to Atlanta I started looking for a dentist…read more Much to the chagrin of the worker bees in the cubicles around me, I called Ken's office and asked him why he should be my next dentist. His response was all I needed. Seriously, call him and ask. I have never had a dentist quite like him and I never want to go back. The office is extremely professional, clean, and decorated well. The waiting room is what you would expect if you went to a spa rather than a dentist. Ken works on you the entire time with the dental hygienist. He provides an an itinerary before he begins work and explains everything in detail. The level of service is second to none and Ken is extremely knowledgeable. You will pay a premium, but, I strongly believe it is worth every penny... and I am not easy to please when it comes to Healthcare.

The staff are friendly and they are also the reason my insurance covers most of my treatment. They informed me my provider had better plans than what I had originally. My hygienist Rebecca was amazing. She was very thorough and explained everything so well. My treatment plan and how it affects me and my health. When I get treatment they offer me a list of items I can have such as a blanket, water, the remote to the tv and several other items. They provide me with glasses for my treatment and a hot towel to clean my face. I definitely don't mind visiting the office when I typically go running.

Either they just don't care or the left hand has absolutely no idea what the right is doing. Everything looks great and I suppose is intended to be impressive with all the latest tech etc. but when a customer experiences as many issues, mishaps, lack of communication, etc. as I have, then none of that matters. I would encourage the office to focus on the level of service provided to your customers and a little less on having all the latest gizmos. Anyone that believes any of that matters while delivering the poorest customer experience ever (what a title to inherit) is sadly mistaken. I literally picked the office due to the glowing reviews but I would advise anyone who likes to avoid hassle and headache to absolutely stay away. Involving the office manager has not seemed to have made the least bit of difference either. I cannot wait for my treatment to be done (IF that EVER happens) so I can find somewhere else in a hurry. The ONLY thing they have done well is to accept payment and it was all downhill after that.

So disappointed and now very angry. We trusted Restoration Dental with our family's dental care for…read moreyears. They kept telling us that our children needed a special toothpaste to remineralize their teeth to avoid cavities, but every 6 months they needed multiple fillings, sometimes multiple sides on a tooth. One child had so many fillings (10-12 teeth) that I finally called to check which teeth had gotten done before. Some teeth had been done more than once, but they told me they were different spots on the same tooth. My youngest was leaving for college last year and yet again they told us he had 3 teeth with cavities, but they could "squeeze" him in right then. That way he could be done before he left for college. We took care of them. Those three teeth were $1042. Fast forward, he returns from college, goes for his cleaning and now he has 3 more teeth with cavities at an estimated cost o $975. He was home for summer, so they scheduled him for a while later. Luckily for us, we moved and found another dentist near our new home. We forwarded his records to the new dentist and scheduled an appointmemt to take care of the 3 teeth that had multiple cavities. My son went to the appointment and came home in less than 30 minutes. The dentist looked at his X-rays, took new ones and said they did not see any cavities! In fact they looked at the cavities that had been filled PREVIOUSLY on the X-rays and said they would not have filled most of them. They showed him and me what to look for on an X-ray, so we could see for ourselves. Going to Restoration Dental cost us thousands of dollars in unnecessary fillings. Nevermind the trauma that my children had to endure with getting shots and further tooth damage for the unnecessary drilling that was done to "clean out" nonexisting cavities. Now my children have the good fortune of looking forwards to possibly having these unnecessary fillings weaken their teeth over time and potentially cause broken teeth, more painful procedures and bigger bills as they get older. I have attached a copy of the last estimate for my son (look how many more teeth they were "watching"). LET ME REPEAT THAT THE NEW DENTIST DID NOT SEE ONE ISSUE THAT WAS ON THE ESTIMATE, AND LOOKED AT HIS PREVIOUSLY FILLED CAVITIES AND SAID THEY WOULD NOT HAVE FILLED MOST OF THEM. If you choose to go to this dentist, don't trust what they say, have them prove it to you. Btw, I noticed there is another review complaining of the same thing. This practice should refund my money and pay me for damaging my children's teeth. I am trying to see where I can legally report them.

I found Dr. Johnston at Riverwood Dental and he and his team have managed to calm 50 years of past dental trauma and fear. He is calming, the staff is calming, they offer sedation, and the view from their office near Cumberland Mall, is spectacular, seeing all the way past the king & queen building. Under sedation, Dr. J did the fastest and most gentle cleaning of my life, along with three fillings, and also prepped one tooth for a crown and placed the temporary. In that session I had zero anxiety, and was so relaxed and calm, that I was actually drifting in and out of sleep!! It was such a good experience that I have now switched my whole family to Dr. Johnston and Riverwood Dental.

They seem like an efficient office. They do everything on time. Everyone working there seems to know what they're doing--from the receptionist, the dentist, and the assistants. They are all thorough and professional. I also like it how they have TVs in every room. They also provide you with free toothpaste, toothbrush, and a bottle of water. Dr. McMasters, the dentist is a nice guy. The first visit I had with him was the first time I've seen a dentist in over 15 years. Luckily, I didn't have a cavity. I did have a lot of tarter buildup, however. He removed all the buildup during my normal checkup. Normally, I would have to come in later and pay for a deep dental cleansing. I thought it was cool of him to do it during my regular checkup. The office also has a sign that says, "We cater to cowards." I don't fear the dentist. I'm sure some people do though. The area around the office is pretty hectic though. It's in the intersection of a busy Vinings intersection. The entrance to the office is very small and deceiving. It's actually next to the Orient Express Entrance. Don't make the mistake and go into Orient Express or you'll have to drive out and brave the traffic again. And no, you can't just park at Orient Express because you might get towed. Leaving the office is also kinda confusing. You have to go through the gate and turn right. Then you can find your way to Paces Ferry Rd. But leaving the parking lot seems much easier than going in.
