I needed some short-notice work done on my car, and called around to see who was available to do the work. I believe Adam's was the fourth place I called, and he said he was almost done with his last job of the day, and could do the work anytime after one pm. I told him that I would be there around 1:30. I arrived around 1:45, and walked into his shop. The only person I could see was a little old man puttering around mumbling to himself. Ignoring my better judgement, I walked up to him, introduced myself, and told him what was wrong with my car. "A PCV valve, Huh?", he said, "Yeah, I think those are like little vacuum tubes under the motor. Shouldn't be a problem. I won't be able to do it for you though, since you didn't show up yesterday." I asked him what he meant, and he proceeded to tell me that he wouldn't work on my car because I had stood him up without calling the day before. Needless to say, I was taken aback. I tried to explain to him that I had called at 10:55 am, less than three hours earlier, but he wouldn't listen. I was somewhere in between laughing at him and getting pissed because he was being pretty rude, so I just left.
Long story short, the mechanic that owns the place is senile to the point where he will turn away paying customers because he doesn't know what day it is. read more
