If you have been in the unenviable position of having to buy firewood, you know how hard it is to…read moreget seasoned, dry, other than Pine firewood! It's very easy to find ads claiming they are selling seasoned dry firewood. However, those words either mean something different to me or most people selling firewood are blowing smoke or unaware of what "seasoned" and "dry" mean! While we're working on vocabulary, there also seems to be a discrepancy about what makes a "cord" of wood! I guess in a world where words mean whatever you decide they mean, any amount of wood can identify as a cord, and often does among the firewood community! Well, I'm no arborist, but I know that a seasoned, dry, cord of wood is 128 cubic feet! Here's the beautiful part! Storm-Felled Firewood gets that also! They also get that if I am paying a premium price for a premium product, I would like some premium reliability! Storm-Felled Firewoods let me know exactly when Cedric would arrive. They laid out the cost to the penny. They sent a well presented man to unload who didn't seem to be on work release! They cost a little more than the people selling landscaping trees they recently cut to random lengths, but what you get is oak, hickory, a little ash, and I have yet to find a piece of pine! You'll get some kindling, but you won't need much. What you'll also notice is the wood has a ring to it when dropped. That means it's ready to go in the fireplace! You can pay less for firewood, but all you'll get is a pile of wood that someday will be able to be burned somewhere. If you want real firewood, ready to make a roaring fire, in a real measurable quantity, I'd call Storm-Felled Firewood!

Needed a good source of firewood for the upcoming winter months. Storm-Felled delivered on time and…read morequickly.

Stay away. Far far away. Jose puts the "fly" in "fly by night." His m.o. is to come on very strong…read moreand friendly with "bless this" and "my family" that. He flashes photos and builds up rapport as quickly as he can. The next thing you know he is dropping off rental equipment before you have even confirmed him. I will say he cons some hard workers into helping him. The problem is he likes the cutting down and the tearing up, but will create imaginary conflict so he can exit the job once he is in over his head. He then hurls a ton of excuses, blame, insults and assorted nonsense, acting like a complete sociopath. He even hung up on me only to call me back accuse me even though I had never so much as raised my voice. Finally he laughs and tells me it is going to cost more than I paid him already to clean it up. At our home he cut down several trees which he left in the yard. Destroyed two dogwoods we indicated we wanted undamaged: one was understandable due to vines connecting the trees, one was intentionally/negligently destroyed. Cut down a tree on our neighbor's property he wasn't supposed to touch then claimed it was dead while the entire thing had already budded out for spring. Destroyed the railing of my son's treehouse which he assumed he needed to tear out without any confirmation. He is as conniving, unprofessional, and unstable as they come with his staged resentment and fraudulent business practices. Stay away. Stay far far away.
