Let me start out by saying I have nothing against hypnosis or trance. Regardless, this left me with more issues than when I went in. At first the therapy seemed to have progressed, and I was elated that I'd found the right type of counseling. It seemed to push me to really face issues head-on. After delving a bit deeper and trusting one of the hypnotists(a mistake), I experienced an oddly judgemental wall. It was borderline manipulative and at best a little creepy. This was my first experience with hypnotherapy and Charles was just amazing. He's very approachable, kind, caring and most important, he can help you. I had an issue that had affected me all my life and he was able to help me resolve it with just one session!! Like many people, I did not know quite what to expect when I went to my first hypnotherapy appointment. I was not familiar with hypnosis, and expected it to be somewhat "out there". I had been addicted to prescription pain pills for over 4 years. I had tried countless sessions, with a variety of therapist and councilors, I attended 12 step meetings, outpatient treatment, alternative medications which were supposed to reduce cravings, read every self help book barnes and noble had to offer, and even successfully completed a 30 day inpatient rehabilitation program. Some of these helped me go for stretches of days or weeks without pills, but none had come close to helping me to overcome the addiction. When I met Charles, he quickly pointed out that it is not just about overcoming the addiction, or "not taking pills". It is about getting to the root of the issue, then working to alleviate that problem. I'll let the expert go into details when you see him but here are the facts from my experience with Charles. Before seeing him, I was addicted to pills for 4 years, although I was trying everyday to beat it. None of the methods of treatment listed above helped for more than a stretch of a few days (and those days were miserable). In just one session with Charles all those years of struggle melted away, for good. No matter what you might be struggling with, or what area of your life you wish to improve I highly recommend Charles Adams. He is friendly, professional, and does what he does because he has a genuine interest in the human mind and a genuine desire to help others.
