However, since Makayla's studio is located in the same building as the chiropractor I had been seeing I made a 30 minute appointment for a neck & shoulder massage out of curiosity and suggestion by my Chiropractor. Many sessions later I have discovered that the 90 minute full body massages have had amazingly good results with my age related lack of flexibility, and neuropathic issues with my arms, legs and feet. Makayla is one of the most sincere, attentive care givers I have had the privilege of being a recipient of her services. After delving a bit deeper and trusting one of the hypnotists(a mistake), I experienced an oddly judgemental wall. It was borderline manipulative and at best a little creepy. To be clear here...the therapy itself is not the problem. It's the rigid and unforgiving nature of this particular hypnotist. Left feeling sui***** for the first time in a while. She will explain the science behind certain behaviors if you like that kind of thing. She has a good sense of humor She's good at challenging feelings without making you feel bad about having those feelings Cons: Keely obviously has a watch connected to her phone that she checks throughout your appointment, making you feel very unimportant. Even if you go regularly she never seems to remember what you spoke about the appointment before, which feels like you are just another paycheck rather than someone she wants to help. While willing to try new therapies, you don't stick to one long enough to see if it works. If you want to talk about religious trauma, she will encourage you and promise to keep her personal beliefs out of the session...and then immediately tell you that what you experienced wasn't real Christianity and try to convince you to talk to a preacher.
