Adams Garage is a scam. When I took my 4Runner in after it wouldn't start, I signaled to them that the problem is likely the battery, the alternator, or both, as this is what AAA had said when they towed it. Well, they only replaced the battery, and the car died an hour after pick-up. Turns out, it needed a new alternator, despite my confirming prior to pick-up that it didn't. Instead, I was told that the old one passed their tests and that it was ready to be taken back early. I can already hear the reply to this review saying, "we said it needed more tests before you take it." This is a flat-out lie. I was told it needed new rear brakes, not more alternator tests. I'm not even going to get started on the fact that they replaced the wrong brakes and still charged us for it. Overall, service is very overpriced and very dishonest. read more

Drove from Texas to Terre Haute, noticed a radiator leak under my vehicle, and called at 5:30pm to see if I could be seen the next morning. I showed up the next morning and Ashley worked me in first thing. As simple as a hose clamp had backed off. They got me back on the road and I was back in Texas by 6:30 the next morning. I already posted on my purchase. I want to talk about my experience after the sale almost a month later. I was driving down the road and all of a sudden all the bells and whistles started going off scared the you know what out of me. So I called Adams auto/Garage. They told me to bring it in on Tuesday. On Monday morning truck would do nothing. Then later I walked out to find it running. So I called and they told me to bring it in. I was sure I had bought a lemon. But I also love this 13 Ram SLT. They took it in and by Thursday they had fixed all the problems including buying me a new fob. They kept it one more day to make sure it was not having any more issues. When i picked it up they handed me the fob with a smile and a thank you for buying from them. I mean what can i really say... But this has to be the best dealership around These people really care. I mean they have a great attitude gave me a ride home and a ride to pick it up. I am 62 years old. I've been an auto body man and a gas and diesel Mech. I greatly appreciate Andy coming out and apologizing on behalf of his workers' misconduct. He has always been good to me. I can't imagine him speaking to me the way they did. I am sure that if he had been around when they had been talking with me, they would have kept on the straight and narrow and spoken to me with more respect. He let me know that if anything like that ever happened again to let him know who did it as if he would take care of it for me. I appreciated him sitting down and caring enough to speak with me about it. I don't want to hear any excuses for disrespectful behavior. No matter how tired or overworked a person might be, or having a bad day, they need to maintain a professional manner and speak in a respectful tone with no demeaning remarks. I really don't think it's that hard. There is something wrong when it happens more than once. Then it's hard to overlook. Don't speak down to women as if they are dumb if you wouldn't say that same comment to a man you respected. Treat us all the same way if you want our business. Thank you, Andy, for caring enough to apologize on behalf of some of your employees. I hope in the future they will make the needed changes so it will not happen again and other women don't run into the same problem I did. I always knew when something was wrong with my car, and I was always right. I never once forgot to notice my gas gauge. I've never once ran out of gas in all the years I had my car so please employees don't talk down to me like that again, accusing me of that when you can't figure out the problem. Simply let me know you are not sure what the problem is and it might be a hit or miss in trying to fix it, but don't insult my intelligence and blame my car breaking down on my ignorant negligence. And when I call, please don't act irritated as if I'm a bother. That makes me never want to call back. I can't imagine you doing that to just anyone, so please treat us all the same with the utmost respect. Sometimes no matter how good you are at your job, if you don't care about the people you are serving, then your work is in vain. We should do our jobs as if we were working for God. My stepdad knows cars and i know cars but sometimes its worth the money to just get it fixed especially if you dont have the tools. I had 4 new tires, (good ones i checked the reviews) an alignment, new rear brakes and a new battery all installed in no time at all, also on the rear brakes they actually left it on the lift and the wheels loose so i could actually see the brakes, i like that. The front brakes were just under half, they didnt push new ones on me at all, i didnt feel in any way like i was being upsold or pressured for stuff i didnt need like transmission flushes and headlight fluid, this is an honest clean shop and i will be back. read more

Honest, exceptional automobile repair services are hard to find, but Adams Garage is the real deal! My young daughter needed to take the car out of town, but it had some serious and tricky problems that the computer wasn't recognizing. I was seriously worried about the car making it on the trip, and even wondered if the car was going to survive long at all. But Adams Garage quickly and efficiently diagnosed and fixed the problems, at a very reasonable price! If you car has a problem be sure not not take It to Adams. They will cheat you out of money. For example my water pump went out. The total was $301. The same exact part from Napa where they purchase there parts was about $60. Listed on my receipt it was $98. So they marked up the item about $30. Also just to test the cooling system was $26. This task of replacing the water pump may take 30-45 minutes. However it took them a few hours and a cost of $168.27 for labor. Replacing the water pump is so easy a cave man can do it. The guys there might as well be dirty cave men who robbed good people. To top it off you have to pay a $5 supply fee. Which means you have to pay more for them to use there tools like they are supposed to. I spoke to a rather large man who is bald with glasses and i asked him so your 1 year/12,000 Mike warranty is worth $200. His response is yes every time even though I would be able to fix it 3 times for the price of what you fix it once. I would give them no stars but have to give them a star because it won't let me give 0 stars. read more

Terrible service took my 2009 Lincoln there and made an appointment for the next day gave them all my information they said they would call later that day with a scheduled time never received a phone call that day so I called back in the morning and they said they can't work on the car it takes a special tool and the reason I took the car in was because of the headlight which I put in my self and the only special tool I needed was a Phillips screw driver and I have never worked on a car after I had asked them y they would need a special tool they got mad and said you can bring it back in but it will be 68 dollars an hour read more
