I stopped in here not knowing this shop but seeing a "Barber" sign I decided to give it a try. It wasn't the immediate friendliest of atmospheres when I walked in but I stayed and waited until I was up for the next chair. The barber asked how I liked my hair cut and I gave him the particulars. While the cut itself was good that was all that I got. I conversation even when I tried to spark yo one and never did he pull out a straight razor and shave my neck or above my ears. This is my favorite part about going to a real barber like I do in my hometown. The cost of what I got was 1.5 x what I pay at home and I got much less for it. I guess from now on I will get my hair cut before I leave town or wait until I get back. read more

I requested a regular haircut. There was only one barber and he was busy. I waited outside on a bench. About 10 minutes later a second barber arrived and gave me the haircut and trimmed my beard. Good quality. Good vibe. Five stars. read more

This is such a great shop, excellent work! Adam and Matt make a great duo and provide phenomenal service, great conversations and do it all at a great price! The shop is always clean and smells fresh, love the atmosphere and it's in great cute little area of university heights. I've had my haircut by both of them and they both have so much experience it's really nice to be able to have a reliable shop close to my college's campus. I don't bother with anyone else! Adam is a great barber and a great guy. His shop is frequented by the local John Carrol student crowd and the well kept men of the Heights. This place is really the conflux of everything one wants in their local barbershop: great looking cut, easy-to-access, cool staff, clean/safe operations, and all at a fair price. I never go anywhere else. Adam has basically become a friend to me! I've been going there for probably 5+ years now. Adam and his brother run the place, but I always go to Adam. He offers a salon-quality cut for like $12. He's very flexible and listens well to his clients. Adam is very fun to talk to and is really outgoing. Definitely make an appointment though, they are both very busy all the time because of their loyal client base. Saturdays are walk in only. They also sell some nice men's grooming products. read more

I have been a customer at Adam's for over 10 years and I tip. Today I had an appointment for 11:30. I showed up at 11:32 and Dolly said I would have to wait until 12:15. I asked why my appointment wasn't honored and she said because I was late she took her next customer. So being a loyal customer for over a decade wouldn't buy me 2 minutes, and she didn't bother to call me to ask if there was a problem. And I find it very hard to believe that her next customer had showed up 30 or 45 minutes early. Sadly, never again. Not the way to treat your customers. read more

The other reviews on here are old, so I'll add an updated one... Adam is STILL an awesome barber, esp. if you hate having to describe what you want done month-to-month. He remembers! It's also great not to have to put up with the machismo banter you hear at other barber shops -- Adam is far more interesting when you get to talking about where he's been. Prices are average and the service and quality is MUCH better than the local Supercuts. I've looked for awhile to find a good place for a haircut at a reasonable cost in Cleveland since I moved here four years ago and this is the place! It is run by Adam and his brother. Appointments are required except on Saturdays, which are usually very busy. read more
