I was staying at the Fairfield Hotel in Greensboro this week when my truck was broken into last…read morenight. I discovered it this morning and, as someone traveling from out of town, I didn't know where to turn. I took it to McCain Auto Glass first thing this morning, and by 1:00 PM the passenger rear window was already replaced. They were extremely busy, but the beautiful, dog-loving soul at the front office understood my situation, worked me in, and even sourced the glass right away. When I picked up my truck, the interior looked absolutely perfect -- not a single piece of shattered glass anywhere. Their service was fast, professional, compassionate, and very reasonably priced. I was so grateful for the care and kindness I received that I gave her a bottle of my DoxieGuy BBQ sauce as a little extra thank-you. I truly hope she enjoys it! I thought this would be an ideal spot to fix my windshield vs Safelite - However what I received…read morewas a true RUSH untrained job! When I got there the vehicle wasn't ready and they had already extended the time. There printer was broken for a receipt so the rep had to email me a copy. When I got into my vehicle I looked at the windshield in full disappointment due the filth, cloudy attempt to clean the windshield and the fact they left all these circles on the windshield (which I'm guessing came from a tool used to install back into place). Either way it was dirty and I'm thinking well damn can you have at least cleaned the windshield since it's a NEW windshield. Everything was cozy within city limits - but when I got on Hwy 40 that's when I kept hearing the wind outside on the inside of my vehicle and I had no windows down. When I parked to take a look that's when I saw all the bubble in the front of the windshield and it looked like left over glue or something. I called the manger and he said to bring my vehicle back in and he will take a look at it and try to fix the issue - the challenge was that I don't LIVE in Winston but the rock hit my windshield while in Winston and that made unsafe to drive . I called the main phone number to see if the Raleigh or Durham office could assist. I was advised Raleigh had availability. After waiting for management to come in after my scheduled appointment to approve the fix - Five and half hours later I had a new AND CLEAN windshield and no left over glue around the front. I was advised that the previous location (Winston Salem) used an excessive amount of glue, failed to position the windshield correctly and among other things. Either way if I could change one thing - I would have waited until I could get the Raleigh location vs going to the Winston Salem location - If I could do less than a solid star I would - I would NOrecommend this place PERIODT!

I went back and they checked it, did a quick fix and sent me on my way. The next day the sound was present again especially at higher speeds. I had it checked at another windshield place on peterscreek who explained that they didnt seal the windshield properly. In order for the new company to do it I'd have to cough up a few more hundred dollars that I just don't have.
