I had CO2 laser, upper and lower lids, a cantoplasty and a brow lift to even out my brows. It's a bit over two years. I'm left with my brows as uneven as before, more white showing under my right eye than before the surgery, scars on both cheeks and either nerve damage or dry dkin all over my face. I'm not sure which because I always had oily skin before but it feels very prickly and stings throughout the day. I also have hyperpigmentation on my chest and you can clearly see where he stopped. The only thing that looks better is the deep line that I had running across my forehead. I regret my decision to go to Dr. Scheiner every single day. It was A LOT of money for absolutely no benefit at all in my opinion. When I told him about the stinging in my skin he said he had never heard of such a thing. Not exactly helpful. I think my upper eyelids look like i need to remove loose skin. He only removed skin from the inner corner to the middle and didn't continue all the way to the outer corner and it shows. If my skin at least felt normal, the rest could be fixed. My skin had a weird rubbery texture for a long time that has finally kind of gone away and I am hoping with the passage of enough time the uncomfortable sensation will go away but after two years I have my doubts. Think long and hard before deciding to do any kind of laser. I hope this review helps someone else. read more

Top notch experience from start to finish. Traveled from the West Coast to see Dr. Scheiner and so thankful I found him. My festoons (eye bags) are completely gone, I feel like myself again! You know the procedure was perfect when everyone you know says how incredible you look but that they "aren't sure" what you did or why you look so freaking amazing! I had upper and lower eye bags removed by Dr. Scheiner on 4/26/2022. Within 6 months I started seeing upper and lower eye bags again, which meant that the doctor didn't do a good job the first time. I was supposed to go to his office for him to finish the procedure. Due to life's unexpected events, I had to cancel a few times. I was in the hospital, I had no one to drive me, lupus flares, excruciating back pain, and his staff said it was no problem to cancel my appointments. Without warning, I'm told that I have to pay $250, before I can even make an appointment. I wouldn't have to go to his office at all, if he had done the procedure correctly the first time. Now he's trying to get some more money out of me, when he said it wouldn't cost me anything. I definitely should have gone to a better surgeon for my procedure. read more

Adam Scheiner is not a board certified plastic surgeon. He is an ophthalmologist who uses one interview on Dr. Oz to market himself as a famous ocularplastic surgeon. Note that Dr. Oz was cancelled after a multi-million dollar lawsuit for fraudulently marketing weight loss pills. Scheiner charges double the price of other surgeons for the same procedures. He has reviews on Real Self, Healthgrades, Vitals and Google. I urge you to listen to the negative reviews and do your own research on his background before you invest thousands of dollars and put your face into Scheiner's unskilled hands. I wish someone would have warned me but it's too late. I'm left with alopecia, nerve damage, visible scars, uneven features, dark undereyes and a receeding hairline that ruined my pretty oval face. The emotional scars are far worse. I was a bright and shining woman who loved life and he has dimmed my light and happiness. I deal with daily regret. Please don't make the same mistake. read more

I went to see Dr. Scheiner in Feb 2020 for upper lid (blepharoplasty) and festoon (under-eye bags) surgery. During the procedure, my cornea was scratched.  If you've ever had a scratched cornea, you're familiar with the pain.  If not, it feels as if there's a metal splinter in your eye and with every blink, a new explosion of pain.  There is no treatment for a corneal abrasion, you just have to wait for it to heal, in my case usually 3-4 days.  Along with the pain of the scratch I had a migraine, likely triggered by the trauma to my eye.  I was unable to attend my post op visit the next day and it took about 4 days before I was able to drive to the office.  Despite my many calls and complaints of the eye pain and migraine, the office staff didn't seem overly sympathetic, except for Penny, the receptionist, who couldn't do a whole lot for me.  My eyes teared constantly halting the healing process and on my return visit, one of the technicians told me I shouldn't be dabbing my eye.  In my vulnerable situation, I didn't have the wherewithal to tell her how painful the ordeal was for me; no one in the office seemed to care or understand how painful a scratch to the eye felt.  They just wanted me to get on with the healing protocol and made me feel like I was holding up their schedule by not keeping my initial appointment and following the healing instructions. It is virtually impossible to put an ice pack on your eye with an injury.  Dr. Scheiner's post op evaluation was that I was doing well and scheduled my next visit for 6 days post op.  Sutures should be removed between 7 and 10 days post surgery, but because he was going out of town that weekend, he scheduled my suture removal for day 14.  I knew in my gut it was too long to keep them in, and sure enough, I was left with eye crease scarring where the stitches had been.  The festoon healing would take much longer and I waited for 6 or 7 months before going back to give them time to heal.  Neither Dr. Scheiner nor I were happy with the result at 7 months post op.  He offered to redo both procedures, this time, a much less complicated process, right in his office, no general anesthesia needed.  I was worried about a repeat of a scratched cornea but he and his staff assured me that it wouldn't be a problem.  They would use extra gel/lubricant on the eye shields and I would be fine. We scheduled the revision surgery for Sept 2020 and I was beyond nervous about a return of that excruciating torture and told him I would rather live with the poor results rather than go through the agony again.  I was assured it wouldn't happen again.  It did, worse than the first time, including the migraine.  The injections of local anesthetic (guessing around 20+ shots) were barbaric.  At the very least, he should have prescribed some kind of pain reliever prior to the procedure.  This is not a negative review of the staff at the office, most are wonderful, the office is comfortable, and I'm sure Dr.Scheiner wouldn't have purposely hurt me. In the end, I still have the upper lid suture scars and I am not happy with the lower (festoon) outcome. I wanted my money back.  Dr. Scheiner offered me a free broadband laser light treatment with his beauty consultant in exchange for my pain, time, and nearly $11,000. read more

Do NOT ever consider them. They ruined my face. I had the treatment in 2015 and went through a whole one-year nightmare for recovery, and the damage is permanent. They would oversell you the treatment that you don't need and didn't plan to take in the first place, and you would end up paying twice or three times the price they've advertised on television. Doctor Scheiner just wants to sell more service for money even he does not even have enough experience in the field that he shamelessly claims himself as an expert, and his team is ignorant and impatient once the treatment/damage is done. They're the greediest and the most ignorant people I've ever met. Do not ever be fooled by their shameless TV commercial. The pain is still there three years after. I went to see Dr. Scheiner last year about the permanent bags inder my eyes. I was very upset because I felt I always looked tired and older than I was. I decided to look into cosmetic surgery. I live in Chicago and saw four surgeons and none of them knew how to get rid of festoon. So, I started researching everywhere. Finally, the name I kept hearing about for my particular issue was Dr. Scheiner. I thought it might not work out because I live in Chicago but I wanted to at least meet him. When I went to Tampa I made an appointment to get rid of the bags under my eyes. I really liked the doctor and his entire staff. I ended up getting the surgery a few months later and I am very pleased with the results. I look much better and wish I had done it a long time ago. He is an excellent physician and also very nice and I was very happy with the staff. If you are hesitant, don't be, you will be very happy with the results! read more

Very Expensive. Comparably WAY over priced. Make sure to look at all your options before working with Dr. Scheiner. There are many other doctors who have just as much experience with eye surgeries and treatments, who will not take advantage of their clients financially, just because Dr. Scheiner been on a few TV shows. read more
