My toes were in so much pain that I could barely tolerate my comforter touching them. That's when I decided to look around and stumbled on Blanken Podiatry. I decided to go with them because they were close to my house, covered by my insurance, and good reviews (on Yelp and Google). I was able to get an appointment quickly and found out that I could have surgery on both feet that same day, barring any significant issues. Dr. Blanken took care of both ingrown toenails during the appointment and the whole thing lasted about an hour. I had a few follow up visits to ensure everything was healing well, and each session was quick and painless. I had some concern a few months out from the surgery and decided to go in just to make sure my toes were still healing well. The Doctor was patient, explained the healing process further, and filed down my nails. Overall, I would recommend Dr. Blanken for ingrown toenail removal surgery. I do want to add something regarding Dr. Blanken's bedside manner because it's important to address and people should know ahead of time! He talks loudly and likes to talk to patients (ask questions, make comments, etc.). The office is kind of small, and the walls are thin so you will probably hear conversations from the lobby. I did witness him ask a patient political questions, and that's not everyone's cup of tea. The front staff is friendly and always answers my questions.

However beware of the…read moreaccounting department: (1) From my own experience of receiving a bill for service I already paid for and then trying to get the error resolved is below standard. (2) If you are receiving service for the first time with Dr. B, you will receive a bill for being a new patient of Dr. B. If you were a patient in the past of Dr. Lieberman and your name is in the records that the receptionist can verify - it makes no difference. You are still considered a new patient and you will be billed accordingly. It will come to you in a mail and be a surprise to you because they will not tell you about that fee. You will know it when you get the bill.
