I went to Dr. Delmar Walker not quite by chance, but because I had learned that all chiropractors were not the same. Dr. Walker is a special kind of chiropractor, an "applied Kinesiologist". His specialty is such that he has special training that helps him to properly evaluate the symptoms causing the patient's pain, then determines the underlying cause. This training is invaluable to getting to the cause of the issue, and correcting that root cause. In my estimation, the failure to determine and fix the root cause of the pain will only give temporary relief, and require more visits than necessary to correct a problem for any reasonable length of time. I've sent two female friends from where I worked (who were afraid to go to a chiropractor). These friends had been told by surgical doctors, that their only solution to eliminate their pain was surgery. Needless to say, they were both ecstatic and couldn't thank me enough once they received the necessary treatment needed to resolve their neck issues. I'm not against surgery, I've had two surgeries myself, gallbladder surgery and outpatient back surgery. They both solved my particular issues, but surgery should only be used when other noninvasive methods can resolve there issues. I promise if you go to Dr. Walker, he will give you an honest evaluation on whether or not your issue is one chiropractic treatment can resolve. If he doesn't believe your problem doesn't lend itself well to a chiropractic solution, he'll let you know that too! His office staff is wonderful (it's his lovely wife).

I opted for a deep tissue massage with cupping and boy did I need it. I really felt it released a ton of tension I tend to build up in my shoulders and upper back.
