We had a long day yesterday and ended up at Adalbertos. The moment we waked in we were greeted with kindness. We weren't rushed and were helped through our decision when asking question. The young lady that worked the counter was so sweet and bubbly you couldn't help but feel welcomed. The restaurant was clean and bright. The menu was easy to read and the matching pics looked delicious. While waiting I needed to use the potty, it too was clean and had a clean restroom aroma, which was appreciated. DON'T SUPPORT!! Absolutely disgusted at this owner's attempt to nickel and dime customers. I've been supporting this Adalberto's/Carolina's for the last 10+ years and place large orders for my staff atleast once a month!! I asked for (2) #21 burritos @ $11.25 each for a personal order. I asked how much to make one a "Super". Employee on the phone says $2 for more meat or $2 for sour cream, salsa, rice and beans. I say please make one super with the sour cream, salsa, rice and beans. I go to pick up, same employee that answered the phone says my total is $31.68. I asked how we got to the price, and she says she has to charge me for "eggs". I said eggs already come in a #21 why are you charging me? She said a super burrito doesn't come with eggs. I say I asked for #21 to be super, that doesn't make sense, not a super burrito with eggs, a #21 super. She said ok, I'll charge you $12.25 (Yelp Price) and then $2 for every item making the burrito $20.25. I said that's not what you said on the phone and if so, why didn't you say is costs $8 to make my #21 super? I would have said no. She (short, dark skinned) is a liar, she didn't have any sense of customer service and she talked in circles without explaining a thing. When I asked for an itemized receipt, she couldn't provide one. The prices inside (cheaper) are different than Yelp (higher priced), which is different than DoorDash (highest priced). If you call in an order, they charge you DoorDash or Yelp pricing, even if you pick up. I will never ever support this embarrassment of a taqueria and the $110 monthly order for my staff will go elsewhere. All for a couple bucks and the fact she knew I caught her in a lie and wouldn't fold. Garbage establishment and the last 4/5 times, all the salsa is contaminated because they let the homeless people serve themselves. There are people on drugs always outside and loitering the parking lot. I never let my staff pick up because of this. DO NOT EAT HERE! The place is never full and the other half of the Taqueria is always empty because of the lousy customer service and lack of hospitality. Go to Taqueria La Familia off Hillsdale for a better experience, meal and vibe!! Adalberto's should get cancelled, especially the rude and dishonest employee answering the phone, she just lost you thousands of dollars. read more

First and last time coming here. The food was disgusting, I ordered fish tacos that looked like burnt slop you would feed an animal with. The quesadilla i ordered looked and tasted like it was made with cheese for a grilled cheese sandwich. Don't mention the prices, outrageous. Never again, no wonder this place is always empty. 05.15.25 First time in. VERY clean! Super friendly service. Large seating area if you want to dine in with a group. We took to-go this time but wouldn't hesitate to eat in. Adalberto's is probably my favorite fast food taqueria-type joint, so glad this is close by. Didn't really like the former restaurant here (Carolina's). I had the 5 rolled chicken tacos since I wasn't extremely hungry and didn't want anything heavy. It was perfect, crispy & yummy. Only drawback was the heartburn in my chest the next morning. Probably from all the different salsas I ate of theirs....only cuz I needed to find out which ones were good! Lol. Now I know...and it ain't the ones they include with your orders. I'm usually a red salsa fan, but the spicy sour cream-looking one and the thicker green avocado-looking ones were my favs. Chips needed more salt, but really enjoyed them after that. Hubby ordered a carne asada quesadilla and it was really good! Lots of meat!! Also liked the horchata...not too sweet. Noticed while waiting for our order another lady came in to pickup her phoned in order and the cashier greeted her and carried on conversation as if the lady was a regular, asking about her baby and whatnot. This will be one my newest to go to spot when my wife and I are craving for some Mexican Food. The food is great! The staff are friendly, courteous, funny, helpful and accomdating. This is also next to Winco. The dining area is inviting and clean. There are several TV's so if you are here during NFL night of Fubol/Football. They proudly televise it by request if it's not already on. They serve brewed pot coffee and alcohol. Just don't be too picky. Just be grateful they do. Oh and its 24 hours. So please people, don't be rude and ruin this location and the parking lot areas. read more

I haven't eaten at Adalberto's in years but they took over Carolina's old spot. I had a California burrito with chicken and it was huge! I was pleasantly surprised by how moist the chicken was in each bite of burrito. They have a chip and salsa bar with a real yummy white sauce with just enough heat. I got my order to go but I noticed plenty of seating and even a small bar. I'll be back to try more of their menu when I get my next craving for Mexican food! read more

I love their chicken tacos! On Tuesdays they have taco night and street tacos are cheap! Try them out.

Asked for bean and cheese and got mostly bean burrito! Needs to be 50/50 or at least 60/ 40 bean to cheese ratio. I even requested extra cheese and did not happen. Absolutely NO salsa provided for a $75.00 order!? Really!!! NO salsa!? Value vs Cost is not worth it. Do not get your Mexican food from here. Sucks because they are one of the only games in town. This place wouldn't stand a week in L.A. or San Diego. Get your act together and represent good tasting Mexican food . Maybe it's not possible in NorCal?! read more

Really good option for mexican good in the Antelope area. They have a few locations around Sacramento though. This one does not have a drive thru. It's a clean casual restaurant with a small bar with seats. The staff are really nice and helpful. The salsa bar isn't very big but it's good. The food is good and flavorful, I recommend the Asada Fries but you can't go wrong with tacos or a super burrito. read more

First went to this location after they reopened. My first impression was that it's very clean and open, lots of seating available. You can sit at tables or at the spacious counter area. Food is always great (I frequently get a chorizo burrito and horchata). Can't complain read more

The interior is beautiful and the service is INCREDIBLY fast and is in a nice comfy part of town. The food is to die for with a great option of salsa and chips which is all free with any order. Only complaint is it is a bit expensive but I think the flavor makes up for it. read more

This location was Carolina's until May 2024. Carolina's wasn't great but it was better than Adalberto's. Service is fine and I like the new decor, but is the food any good? Yesterday's lunch is a great example of Adalberto's. I ordered 3 "rolled tacos", taquitos, with cheese for $7. Only two meat options, beef or chicken. Okay, two beef, one chicken. I opened the container and asked myself "wtf is this?". I can almost guarantee you these are simply store-bought frozen taquitos. Here's why; They simply put shredded cheese on top. If you were making them, certainly you would put the cheese inside the "rolled taco". Also, only a choice of beef or chicken. Again if these were house-made, you could put in any meat you wanted. RIP OFF! I've also had I fish taco (probably Gorton's frozen breaded fish fillets), a super burrito that was completely underwhelming, and a carne asada taco that was just okay. Now there is a plus side to all of my rants; the chips were good and they have variety of salsas and a decent pico de gallo. But overall, I just can't do it. It's over-priced, sub-par Mexican food. I can make better Mexican food at home and I'm a white guy. Just go to Guadalajara across the parking lot. Because this is just trash, which is exactly where my $7 "rolled tacos" went. read more

I could tell that the Flautas' were not handmade..put they were hot,generous portions & the Refried beans & rice were hot gooey cheesey yumminess! I was also given two kinds of salsa in my to-go order..which I must admit I ate in my car before leaving the busy parking lot..I was starved! Purty darn good. We were sad to see Carolina's leave, and Adalbertos replace it, because in the past Carolina had essentially the same menu, but better quality. Long story short, we went in to see if they were up to par. They easily passed the test. Great service, large portions, tasty food. I was especially happy to see the self serve chips and salsa bar back. Carolina's removed theirs and practically made you beg for them. First time there. Disgusting "food"... Looked more like slop. Taco Salad had some kind of liquid underneath what was supposed to be the crunchy "taco". Beef was tough and tasteless. Basically no lettuce. Threw most of it away. Nachos...much the same. So many gooey beans that the Chips were all soggy n gross. Wasted $30 on garbage "food". Really disappointed. Used to be Carolina's, but is now adalbertos. The food and salsa bar is top notch. Easily the best Mexican food in antelope. I get the carne asada fries or a California burrito. My son loves the super burritos. There is plenty of room to sit and eat. The restaurant also does doordash and to go if you want that. read more

The service was horrible. We asked the lady if we could use two cards she said yes and then snatched the card away from my boyfriend while my boyfriend told me how much to charge that card she ran it for the full amount and said it went through here and handed him the card back. The point was we didn't want that card to go overdraft. The place was clean we gave them take but the lady behind the register made it ugly. We received our food it looked presentable but the taste was not there, unfortunately. I'm a Latina and our food has to have flavor this place didn't have it. I hope they do better in The future.
