I can't dance, and I'm all thumbs and right feet. If this is you too, I guarantee karate will do you wonders. (Thanks too to Josephine M @Traineo for inspiring me over two years to get into Martial Arts!) I found Bobby Leach's Olympic Karate through my son, who attended an amazing birthday party in kindergarden here. Bobby Leach, his wife Andrea, and their instructors were very good with the children and I was highly impressed. It took me two years to get back in and sign up for a free month of karate though. (Shame on me!) I was only going to sign my son up initially, but decided at the last minute that I may as well try a free month too and keep him company. The first thing I really appreciated was the honest enthusiasm. There was no high pressure sales - they let the free month speak for itself! I've been to gyms where the salesperson fakes it for the 30 minutes it takes to get you to sign a contract, but how can you fake it for a full four weeks? The positive atmosphere, encouragement, enthusiasm, camaraderie, and friendly competitiveness are real. The other major selling point was: No contract! You pay each month and can cancel any time - no signup fees, no other expense other than the uniform and belt. The rates are extremely competitive - I paid $100 for my son, and $80 for myself (discounted rates for multiple students). Best of all was the positive and nurturing atmosphere that the instructors and senior students provided. Mr. Bob, Andrea, and the other instructors are really top notch not just in teaching you the basics, but making you feel good about yourself and making you WANT to give it your all. Senior students like Ms. Susan, Ms. Meredith, Ms. Jackie, and many others also constantly pitch in to help fellow students with forms and tips and keep morale and energy high all throughout.

I am amazed at how much my kids have learned, since they started attending. Today's Learning Center provides a fun environment that is also educational. My kids love their teachers and Sima and Jessica (The Director and Assistant Director) have been wonderful resources. They are always there and open to discussing any questions I have. My son starts Kindergarten in September and I am going to really miss getting to do drop-offs and pick-ups where I get to know all of the kids, parents, and teachers. I read the other reviews and feel badly that they had negative experiences because I truly feel TLC is a great place to send your kids.

I put my kid in this playschool. He went to the playschool only for four days and the director…read moreasked us to drop him form the playschool just because he was crying. The Director Seema told us that since he is crying a lot, the teacher is unable to concentrate on other kids and wanted us to drop him. The director told us the my kid is not mentally prepared or matured and he is crying a lot and doesn't understand what we were talking and also said he was very anxious. However, my kid went there only for twice a week and he went there just for four days. He was dropped from the playschool in just four days and they didn't even wanted us to try my kid out for a month at least. We in fact requested them to increase from twice a week to four days week or at least thrice a week so that he has some continuity. They declined this too. Shouldn't they have given enough time for my kid to settle down? But they didn't given enough time for my kid to settle down and insisted on dropping my kid from the playschool just because he was crying. They should have in fact tried to instill some confidence to parents but they didn't. When they dropped my kid, I requested them to refund the registration fees at least. Why would someone want to pay the registration fees when they drop a kid in playschool in just four days. They said the registration fees can't be refunded as well. They are totally unprofessional and I felt very stressed out as a parent leaving my kid in this playschool. The main problem is that the school is understaffed and there is only one teacher for 10 students.
