With my medications that I'm on, I'm susceptible to skin cancer. This dermatology clinic is right down the road from me so I took it as a sign to come here to establish a relationship with someone who can properly help me with the care of my skin. The staff here are so friendly. The sweet receptionist got me all check in and gave me my proper paperwork to fill out. I only waited a couple minutes before Ashley Cafferty greeted me and walked me back to my exam room. Ashley and I went through my medical history, my transplant timeline and my relationship with the sun. I appreciate that she took in everything that I was throwing at her. She didn't rush me and everything that I had to tell her. Her attention was truly undivided. Ashley did a thorough exam of my skin. She checked every mole to make sure they weren't suspicious for anything concerning. We also went through my dry skin concerns and possible treatment options to help alleviate some of the dryness. It is quite the awkward situation, having someone you just barely met go through every inch of your body but Ashley made me feel comfortable the whole time. I couldn't be happier coming to this office to get my relationship with a dermatologist started. The staff is great. The office itself is stunning. The room I was in was clean and professional. I don't have to be back for another year but I'll know what to expect the next time I do come in. It was a great visit at this office today.

I asked to book a consult (which was multiple weeks out) and she stated it would cost 100.00 dollars to do so. I explained that I didn't want to waste money on a consult without having an idea or range of what the laser service may cost. It didn't make sense to go and spend 100 dollars just to find out they may be incredibly over priced and then I've now forfeited 100. She said she couldn't provide a range for me either. I asked if I could please speak to a manager and she refused, telling me that she would tell me the same thing. Where on Earth does front desk staff have the right to refuse a customer to speak to a manager. It isn't even about the money, these places won't provide cost over the phone bc they want the opportunity to upsell the product. If that wasn't the case they would be able to provide a range from most economic cost to more expensive costs based on past cases. Absolutely ridiculous. I have multiple friends interested in this service and I will not be recommending.

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. What happened to my mother at this clinic was not…read morejust unprofessional. It was inhumane. My mom had an early morning appointment at Mountain Pine Dermatology's Meridian location for her Accutane prescription. She's done this process before, so she knew the steps. She simply asked the PA if she still needed to wait 30 days after her pregnancy test, given that her husband had a vasectomy. The PA didn't know, left the room, and then an assistant came in and confidently told her she could be prescribed that same day, she just needed to log into iPledge and answer a question. My mom doesn't speak fluent English, and she's not tech-savvy. She called me for help while I was at work because the clinic attached my email to her chart. I stayed on standby, ready to help her log in, while she waited patiently at the clinic. And waited. And waited. They kept telling her "we'll be with you soon," but it was completely soulless, like she was an inconvenience, not a patient. No one actually tried to help. No one explained anything clearly. She waited quietly and respectfully for hours, trusted their word, and when they told her, "we'll call you later," she believed them and went home. They never called. She had to call them twice and both times, all they said was "we don't know yet" and they'd "call her back." They never did. But here's what really shows their utter lack of care. Assistant wrote on her chart, "Language barrier - don't know if she understood." Are you serious? You knew there was a language barrier. You were not sure if your patient understood instructions about one of the serious medications in dermatology and you didn't use your translation services? You didn't take the time to clarify? You just let her leave and hoped it wasn't your problem anymore? This is medical negligence, plain and simple. When I went in person to talk to them, both the nurse manager and the administrator acted like I was the problem. Cold. Dismissive. Not an ounce of empathy. I calmly asked the administrator how she'd feel if her own mother someone who struggles with English was treated this way. Her response? "I need to ask you to leave." That's it. No apology. No accountability. No shame. Let me be clear, my mother was not difficult. She was not loud or demanding. She's one of the sweetest, most polite people you'll ever meet. She sat there quietly while the staff at this clinic treated her like a burden. This clinic failed her. Completely. If your mother, your grandmother, or anyone you care about doesn't speak perfect English, don't bring them here. They will not be treated with respect, dignity, or basic decency. And to the staff who saw this happen and did nothing you should be ashamed.

Rating Dermatology Clinic of Idaho for Creating a 2+ Year Nightmare for this Patient…read moreI had my 1st appointment at this Dermatology Clinic of Idaho practice in Boise, 2+ yrs ago. It was a referral from my Primary Care MD at St. Lukes Internal Medicine. The nightmare started a year later. Issue 1. This office automatically and without telling me, set me up on automatic annual appointments. They did not tell me this before I left that appointment Issue 2. I never received appointment reminders of any kind for the next annual visit they scheduled. No calls, no texts, no emails and no written reminders. So... not knowing I had an appointment, I (of course) missed it. And they want $50 for missing it. I attribute this lack of automated reminders (and the other issues below) to an antiquated medical practice management software system. And/or, it could be about office staff who do not know how to set up automated appointment reminders, a courtesy today's patients assume. These automated appointment reminder systems are also about best business practices for clinic business offices, ensuring optimized use of both patient and Physician's time. Issue 3. About 13 mo. after my 1st appointment, I received a notice of a late payment of $50, the missed appointment charge. Not knowing they had set me up on annual appointments and receiving no appointment reminders, I did miss an appointment I did not know about! I did NOT need annual Dermatology Mole Check appointments! I have no family history of skin cancer. My primary physician and I manage mole checks at least twice a year. This is because I have a bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN), trained in spotting problematic skin conditions. Issue 4: So. they started billing me a $50 missed appointment fee every month. After the 1st bill, I contacted their office by phone and told them why I would be refusing to pay for it (Issue 1-3 above). Their office front-desk person told me there was nothing she could do to help me (nothing?) , and I would need to contact their billing office to clear this up. So I did. I wrote a letter, sent it with a billing invoice, explaining why I will not be paying the $50 and asking them to stop billing me. I received another bill 3 weeks later. So I called the Billing Office, told the patient support person I was not going to pay the $50 and if they continued billing me for it I would start a review campaign to warn other patients of this totally archaic and unprofessional "auto-scheduling with no appointment reminders" billing process. So I am! Issue 5: Finally, after another month and another billing notice, the billing manager called me and apologized, said she understood my concerns and she promised she would stop the monthly late fee billing letters. That was 2 months and 2 $50 late fee bills ago! So... the promise made by the billing office manager to stop these unfair missed appointment fees, was never fulfilled. Nothing was done following the phone call from her. This is why I do NOT recommend using this practice! Their uncommunicated automatic annual appointment scheduling practices, non-automated (or non-existent) appointment reminder system and poorly managed (not following through on resolution promises) are an ongoing nightmare for me. I can't recommend any medical practice that creates billing issues and can't resolve them. If this nightmare of unresolved, poorly handled patient billing support issues negatively impacts my credit rating... I will escalate this patient support failure way beyond just giving them poor reviews! Avoid

I have been coming to Dermatology Clinic of Idaho for my yearly skin checks for about 10 years. The…read moreoffice is easy to find and has plenty of parking right out front, and the staff has always been friendly and helpful. They answer questions well, and I am typically taken back quickly with very little wait time. The visits are usually fast and convenient, which I appreciate. That said, my experience over the years has changed depending on the dermatologist I saw. The dermatologist I originally went to was extremely thorough. She would check every inch of my skin with a magnifying glass while an assistant took detailed notes on each spot's size, color, and appearance. I felt very confident in those exams because they established a clear baseline for future comparison. A few years ago, a different dermatologist removed and scraped a patch of skin on my face after freezing it, but when I returned the following year, the new dermatologist asked what had happened and suggested the removal may not have been necessary. That was unsettling to hear. More recently, the skin exams have been noticeably less detailed. The dermatologist did look over several areas, but the appointment felt much quicker, and there was no measuring or documenting of specific moles or spots like I used to experience. I personally think it is important to take notes and track these areas over time so there is a baseline and you can clearly see if anything has grown, darkened, or changed. Without that level of documentation, I do not feel quite as confident in the level of care. Overall, the clinic is friendly, efficient, and easy to work with, but the thoroughness has varied over time. I am hoping future visits feel more detailed, as skin checks are something I take seriously.

Somehow my review keeps getting taken down. Just updating to make sure my review is still visible…read more BOTCHED AND DISFIGURED I went to Dr Rodgers for sinus surgery, rhinoplasty, and liposuction. There were immediate red flags I unfortunately ignored. The first was the condition of Dr Rodgers's teeth. His teeth are covered in plaque and tarter. They look like they haven't been cleaned in ten years. It's unusual for a surgeon, to say the least. The second red flag was when discussing the desired results; I mentioned that I wanted a nose that aesthetically fit my face. Dr. Roger responded that he didn't care about aesthetics. It's strange a plastic surgeon wouldn't care about aesthetics. The third red flag is Dr. Rodgers is missing an index finger on his dominant right hand. I clarified to Dr Rodgers that I wanted a straight Roman nose. What I got is something better suited to a Puerto Rican. Dr. Rogers removed too much cartilage off my bridge, leaving me with a rounded nose bridge lacking structure and a flat spot in the middle. My nostrils are now different sizes and attached unevenly to my face. I have a collapsed right valve. His incision on my columella left me with a missing cartilage on the left side. The tip of my nose, which he was supposed to refine, is wider than before. The septum he was supposed to straighten is deviated to the left. My nose is noticeably shorter. When I asked Dr. Rogers if he removed any cartilage from the tip of my nose, he said no. This was a lie. According to the medical records I requested, Dr Rodgers removed cartilage from the tip of my nose without discussing it with me. The liposuction he performed on my face has left me with a dent in my right cheek. When I brought up my concerns to Dr. Rogers, he laughed in my face (literally). He did this multiple times while trying to gaslight me to me think I was seeing things or hadn't waited long enough to see the results manifest. Ultimately, Dr. Rogers put me off for over a year before telling me he would not perform a revision surgery. This means I have to spend $15-$20,000 to have another surgeon correct Dr. Rogers's mistakes. This has been one of the worst experiences in my life. Fortunately, I could do a chargeback on one of the credit cards I used to pay for the surgery. I would highly recommend it to anyone considering plastic surgery. Put the initial charge on a credit card and charge the surgeon back when they see any potential bad results. Surgeons only win 23% of chargeback cases, so the chances are good that you will get your money back. I made the mistake of going with Dr. Rogers because he was affordable. I ignored red flags so I could save money. Now I'll be paying for it the rest of my life.
