very unproffesional managed to damage vehicle worse than when brought in with not only forgetting to put screws back into oil drip pan but when brought back into shop managed to scratch and dent the side of the car while pulling it into their shop. Has now said the car wont be ready for another week so in total putting car out for around a week and a half. DO NOT RECOMMEND, cannot complete simple tasks with simple steps without rushing it. read more

I have not fully used Acute Auto, yet, I Have visited twice, recently. BUT, Chris the manager has helped me numerous times with trouble shooting both on phone and in person and with referrals due to my car has some complex-contradictive problems. Chris even called the next place for me, to talk "mechanic lingo" to the next mechanic, while I was there!! That is H-U-G-E :) They have a clean and friendly wait room, mechanics and office :) I have received quotes b4 and prices seem VERY fair. Like Bear T. said they have Personal Pride in their customer service. read more

I went there last month and I really liked the way the took care of my car. I surely recommend.

I can't begin to say enough nice things that describe Brandon and his team at The Hon-da Doctor (they had to change it a few years ago to have the hyphen...apparently it pissed Honda off). When I moved to DFW from small town West Texas, I was sucker punched with one fake sales move after another when it came to my new Accord. One afternoon I went to a Honda dealership, needing a small fix. Their quote was out of the roof, so I left to think it over. On the way out, a small elderly man stopped me and handed me a card to the Hon-da Doctor. Fast-forward to eight years later, and I still call the Hon-da doctor for any and all of my car needs. Brandon has always been like a friend - never pushy, never sales-driven, just HONEST. The first few times he quoted me on something, I called my dad (because that's what girls do, right?), and he verified...Brandon is a stand-up guy when it comes to telling you what you need and what you don't, or what you can wait on. Now I turn to Brandon for everything. On my most recent experience, one of my ball joints that the Hon-da Doctor had repaired failed on me. I didn't remember them doing the work, but they were the first people I called when my car went limp. Brandon immediately recommended me to his buddy at The Hondew Shop (see my review), and then paid for the tow cost AND repairs because it was his original repair that had failed. What a stand-up guy! It's a bit north, but completely worth the drive. They only work on Hondas and Acuras, so keep that in mind. And bonus...his mom drives the "shuttle" they offer, and she is just too sweet! read more

Simply put, These guys are the best independent Import Auto Shop in North Texas HANDS DOWN!! I've been a customer since 2005, and they have always provided exemplary service & care. They are honest, fair, and upfront with you every step of the way. It's nice to know there are still great independent Mechanics in the market that you can depend on!! read more

My wife and I only take our vehicles to Acute. We moved to Hickory Creek, TX in 2015 and we really looked to find an auto shop that was honest and fair. We could not have found a more honest, helpful, and fair auto shop than Acute. They have serviced our vehicles for the past 7 years and we won't go anywhere else! read more

Professional, honest, and reliable people! My go to when it comes to car service needs.

Do it! Go here. Do not pass go, do not give someone else $200! Stumbled upon these guys (literally) driving up Mill street with my Accord coughing and sputtering. I remember seeing the Hon-Da Doctor sign when I was using another mechanic downtown. Met 2 returning customers who were very happy with the establishment and the people therein. Gave glowing reviews of many past service calls and routine maintenance tasks. The facilities are very clean and comfortable, a welcome change from a lot of small mechanical businesses. Got a rapid, honest, and above all FREE diagnosis, and was told there was nothing wrong. Read and reset the CEL, told me what they thought the problem was and that there wasn't anything wrong. The cost? $0. I will (1) recommend the place to my friends, and more especially my lady friends and (2) return when I need service on my Honda. read more

Acute Auto Care combines expert technical service with honest professionalism. I have been bringing my car here for service for many years. And, I always feel that the team at Acute Auto Care has the customer's best interest at heart. They are not about trying to cajole you into getting work done you may not even need. Plus, they are willing to answer any questions you may have and are able to address your concerns almost instantly. Before discovering Acute Auto Care, thanks to Nikki B.'s excellent review, I used to cringe in terror whenever I thought of something malfunctioning with my 2006 Honda. Then, I brought my car to Acute Auto Care and I discovered that getting car maintenance or repairs does not have to be a painful experience at all. They also have free wi-fi so you can work while they work on your car. Although, you may not be there long enough to get much done. Not only do they do excellent work, it's usually in record time. read more

My car had some A/C issues and may places would actually charge to even look at the system to diagnose the issue. I called AAC at the recommendation of a friend and Tyler took the time to explain the process they'd follow in a lot of detail, while taking time to answer any additional questions I might have. When I took the car there, they were able to get to it right away. The staff here is extremely competent, they don't make you do additional "stuff" like dealerships and I just got a good feeling about the place (which is hard in this industry). I highly recommend AAC. Don't let the appearances or the neighborhood put you off...these guys are really good and affordable. read more

I am so impressed with the honesty and customer service of these folks, I just had to add my own good review. I would highly recommend anybody with a foreign car in need of repair to try AAC first. read more

I cannot say enough appreciative words for Acute Auto Care. As an older woman, I have had my share of garages, mechanical shops and shops that took advantage of my lack of knowledge on cars. This group of great people at Acute Auto Care examine the problem, explain the problem to me, get the best price, get it repaired, show me the part that was replaced so I can see the damage and, if necessary, take me home, pick me up when ready. Their courtesy, friendliness and honesty means a lot to me and my family. I have recommended this shop to anyone and everyone that mentions cars! So thank you Acute Auto Care. No 5 stars from me - more like 20! Lenore H., Highland Village, Texas read more

Brandon, Chris and all involved there in Acute Auto Care are absolutely amazing. I highly recommend them for everything you might need when it comes to your car care. They are honesty embodied in owner, service manager, and mechanics all together. In my experience, that is nearly impossible to find in this day and time. They have cared for my family, my friends, and me for over a decade, and the stories of their incredible knowledge and customer first caring culture are too many to put in this short review. If you go there with a problem, you will find persons totally dedicated to finding a resolution to that problem at an honest and often amazingly low cost to you. I would never own a car that would not be in their specialty. read more

Theirs nothing better in this world than Acute Auto Care don't hesitate to come in this location Michelin Star Auto Shop

This place is phenomenal! I honestly try to avoid getting my car serviced at all cost, because of, well, the cost and you never really know who can trust. But let me tell you, this place is family owned and operated and you can feel it. The service is quality, the technicians genuinely care about the customers, and there is no pressure to upgrade or do EVERYTHING all at the same time. What's great about this place is they really break it down and let you know the most immediate needs, and then everything else is laid out on a future timeline recommendation basis to be considered at your own discretion. They provide cost effective solutions and really make sure that issues are effectively and efficiently taken care of. I can't say enough nice things about the service and the people at Acute Auto Care. I wouldn't take my car anywhere else. read more

As a woman and a transplant to the area, there is always that nervousness about finding a mechanic. Ladies, you know what I mean...Will they treat me like a guy? Will they respect that I do know and understand my car? Will they give me respect when discussing options? Give me the same prices and options as if my husband brought the car in? I hate to say it, but this is still a problem a lot of times. NOT HERE! LOVE THESE GUYS! Absolute respect from the moment I walked in the door. They understood I know my car (it's a fairly rare model) and how I want to take care of it. What's best is they work to keep the cost down - even if it means sending you somewhere else. Which is exactly what they did with my husband's car. They will do research if it's an interesting problem they haven't dealt with a lot (again, rare model...) and call to discuss options - even recommend not doing anything or doing it yourself! They kept the terminology to what I would understand, but didn't pull any punches on discussing the issues and options. They respected my opinion for my car. The prices, when you do need work, are GREAT. I can't recommend these guys enough. We moved from Lewisville to downtown...Yeah we still make the drive to come up here. They will *always* be my mechanic while I live in the Dallas area. read more

I took my friend's car here for something wrong with the AC, and they figured out the problem right away. It needed a part so my friend got it fixed at another appointment. She said she had been going there for ages and I can see why. read more

I have taken my car here on several occasions and am very happy with the results. They do quality work and give you honest opinions about repairs. They do not try to pressure you into spending money on things that can wait. I appreciate that. Additionally they often have loaner cars available which makes it convenient to make the trip to Lewisville. I will be back as things need addressing. read more

One of the stressful parts about relocating is finding a trustworthy mechanic...hats off to my wife for finding these guys. I had trouble with my 2000 Civic failing the emissions test due to a computer issue...they spent a couple days getting to the bottom of it rather than trying to throw parts at it like another place wanted to do. Made sure I always understood all my options and they made sure to keep costs to a minimum. Love that they have a shuttle service and occasional Saturday dates too. read more

I've been driving Hondas for a couple of decades and I used to be very loyal to Danny's on the rare occasion I had a problem I'm sure Danny's still does a great job, but lately they're always "booked solid" for a week or longer and if I have a problem, I don't want to wait around, so I found Acute Auto Care and they haven't let me down. I think the first time I took the car to Acute, I was having a bizarre electrical issue where all the interior lights, dashboard, gas gauge, everything was DEAD. Needless to say, I didn't want to be driving around very long without knowing how much gas was in the tank so I brought it to Acute right away. They took a few days, going through methodically to see if they could figure out where the problem was; they never found a smoking gun but everything started working again so they put it back together, told me to let them know if it happened again, and only charged me for a couple of hours of labor even though they spent way more than that. Subsequent trips to Acute have been for more basic stuff -- brakes a couple of weeks ago, for example. Dropped off the Accord in the morning, it was ready in the afternoon. These folks are polite, professional, they have decent waiting area, and they are good about keeping you informed if the estimate changes. I think they have a courtesy van but I've never used it. I'm taking it back int tomorrow for a werid squeaking sound coming from the fan belt area...I'll update my review if necessary, but I anticipate the same highl level of service I've been getting. read more

When it comes to doing business the right way and caring for their clients, Acute Auto Care leads the local industry!

I found Acute Auto Care listed on yelp when I was looking for a repair shop for our Acura. With the good reviews, I decided to call and was lucky to have Tyler answer. Tyler was patient and a wealth of information, which as a woman I don't find many service centers are this way. By the time I hung up I not only took my car in for the needed sensor replacement, but also my 100k tune up. The work was done perfectly and on time. They even had our old parts there when we picked up our car to explain what had happened. The prices for the service your receive are more than reasonable. With our first experience being so good, when my stereo went our, we contacted Tyler again. Again our service was excellent! With my husband and I traveling so much during this time Linda was SO accommodating to our schedules. Thanks Acute, you have created Raving Fans! read more

Was referred to Acute Auto Care by a close friend. I am new to Dallas, and needed some work done on my Toyota. I stopped by the shop and spoke with Tyler. I explained the issue, and what I thought the problem was, and was told that they would do a thorough inspection and let me know what they find before doing any repairs. Well, what they found was not what I thought the problem was. They rotated the tires, aligned the car, and charged me a fair price for the work. When I got the car back, the noise I had experienced was gone. This shop works with integrity, and they have my future business, and I will refer them as well. Thank you Tyler, Brandon and the entire Acute Auto Care team! You guys rock!!! read more

This really is a great place. They gave me a free estimate, including when my engine light came on. Answered all my questions and helped me prioritize all my repairs. They got the work down quickly, and the free shuttle was nice. They even gave me some DIY tips so I could do some quick maintenance items for myself. read more

These are nice guys. A year ago, I took my Honda in for engine repair. After several things were replaced and a thousand bucks later, the problem was not fixed and the car ended up breaking down on the street. I brought it back again and because they couldn't figure out the problem, I ended up taking the car to the Honda dealer repair centre in and ~$2,000 bucks later got the problem fixed. It runs fine now. I suppose I could consider taking it back for simple maintenance but not likely for serious engine problems. read more

I have used them 3 times to fix my son's 2002 car. They have done an exceptional job. Their prices are reasonable. They are very honest and only recommend what it's necessary. They were recommended by a neighbor who only had good things to say about them. Family owned and operated. read more

I was starting to believe unless you did the car repairs yourself, there was no way not to be scammed. That was until I found Acute Auto Care about two years ago (previously called Honda Doctor). This company has, hands down, the friendliest most helpful staff you could ever ask for. Their turnaround time and prices surpass any other auto repair shop I have ever been to. On top of that, they do great work! They are the total package in auto repair and anyone in the Lewisville or Flower mound area not using them is throwing away money for substandard work. I am from Kansas City. On my drive from 80 degrees into 105 degrees my Accord's A/C failed. Being from out of town and just here for a few days I had concerns about looking for a mechanic, but it was over 100 degrees! The online reviews quickly led me to Acute Auto Care. At 4:30 Thursday afternoon, I reached Tyler. After I explained my problem he said they try to make room for safety and A/C (at 105 degrees A/C probably counts as safety) and booked me for the next morning. As soon as they opened, they started checking out my car. In the meantime, I found their waiting room, pleasant, clean, comfortable, and with good wi-fi. Within an hour I had their assessment. They did that initial visual inspection for FREE! They then quickly had me fixed and going at a good price. In my 30 years of owning cars I have worked with a couple of very good shops. AAC is top notch. If it wasn't that these guys are about 500 miles from my house, I would make them my go to mechanics. read more
