I originally came to Grace while suffering from Bell's Palsy, but the truth is, that was only part of the story. My younger brother had just passed away, and the grief manifested physically. Originally came to see Grace because I was having panic attacks. I was diagnosed with agoraphobia and had ptsd from my time in the Marine Corps. I was prescribed medication several times but really wanted to save that option as a last resort. Grace was very easy to talk to and I felt very cared for during my sessions. Grace is the best acupuncturist I have ever had. I left the Bay Area and moved to Georgia and have seen about 3 others after her, none of them compare to the treatment I received from Grace. I've been ignoring my hypertension for years until a couple of months ago my blood pressure spiked into a danger zone (at one point as high as 256/135). That's when I knew it's time to get some help. But before asking my doctor for BP medication I decided to look for alternative treatments that don't involve toxic drugs. I started seeing Grace about 2 years ago to supplement my back relaxation regime (including massage and chiropractic) since computer work really does a number on me. Her treatment ended up tuning up much more than my back, so I became a regular. Who would have thought that someone who dislikes needles, like myself, would enjoy going to an acupuncturist. I have been a patient of Grace's for a little over a year. I started seeing her because of some muscle pain and fatigue . Upon my first visit, Grace listened to me explain my symptoms and did an exam (ie. tongue color/shape and checked my pulse). After the exam came the needles: which don't hurt at all. At the end of the first session, Grace gave me some recommendations on things I could do to help ease my symptoms. These were mainly changes to my diet and sleeping habits. After trying some of her recommendations and a few more pin sessions, I definitely started to notice changes (especially in my fatigue). Grace is really thoughtful and understanding. Anytime I have had a question or concern she always takes the time to give me an answer and explain what she is doing and why she is doing it. Grace is amazing! I had a horrible sharp pain in my right foot whenever I flexed, pointed or wore heels. Since I dance for a living it was imperative that I got this taken care of. I tried everything and nothing worked. Finally I decided to try out acupuncture with Grace and thank god I did because I have no more pain. Other than my foot problem, I am extremely stressed out all the time, which is so bad for my health. My first visit with Grace left such an impression on me that I decided to continue treatment with her for some digestion/gastrointestinal problems that have been plaguing me for the past 10 years and which have made it difficult for me to lose weight no matter how much I exercised or how healthy my diet was. Grace suggested some tweaks to my diet, namely avoiding wheat and sugar as they can be the root cause of many digestive disorders. I adhered to this diet strictly for the first month and sought treatment from Grace on a biweekly basis. I must say that the results have been incredible. Since I started treatment with Grace in February, I have not gained any weight and have been slowly losing weight. Her treatments for my digestive system seemed to have jumpstarted both my metabolism and whatever else works to help your body breakdown and digest foods. I can't really say that I understand how all this incredible acupuncture magic really works - but it works. I feel cleaner, lighter and less encumbered by my system that obviously hasn't been working right for years. My only regret is not trying acupuncture sooner and thinking that diet and exercise alone would solve my problems. Grace is also open to learning more about the various digestive disorders that can make people really sick and since one of the things I struggle with is a candida (yeast) overgrowth - she has been developing new skills to help women like me overcome these problems. Don't let the the name fool you! when it comes to acupuncture there is nothing graceful about grace =). She is aggressive with the treatment and knows exactly how to get to the root of the problem and the pain. Back in high school I played a lot of sports and hurt my hand playing football. My thumb and pinky were out of place and the nerves and tendons were damaged. I didn't realize it at the time and the xrays came back negative. So after living years with this pain i went to go see grace and she explained to me that the miss alignment was causing the tendons and joints to be stressed. She quickly snapped it back into place did some acupuncture work and some cupping and the pain is no longer there. The treatment however does take time and there is no magical fix. although the pain is gone it will take some time for my hand to feel 100%. read more

I just finished my 15th acupuncture session with Grace and I can't tell you how happy I am. I originally went in not knowing what I wanted and not knowing what to expect. I am so happy I found Grace :) I run a deep tissue massage and biodynamics practice which focuses on both the micro and macro aspects of massage and bodywork. I was diagnosed with Graves disease 10 years ago and had radioactive treatment which gave me hypothyroidism. Throughout the decade, numerous endocrinologists in the Bay Area and Washington DC would monitor my TSH and blood count, but could not and refused to help me with my ongoing symptoms and told me to live with it. I even flew down to UCLA for a second opinion and it was discouraging. When I called Grace's office, I was chronically fatigued, lethargic, depressed, had severe brain fog, muscle cramping and could not lose weight even though I work out 5 plus times a week!
