He did not take time to explain the…read moreprocess or what was happening with my claim, and he advised me to ignore paperwork I was receiving from Social Security. When I asked questions or requested help, he was often short and made me feel like I was bothering him. When my application was denied, he refused to review the denial paperwork with me, leaving me confused and unaware of what went wrong. Shortly afterward, I received an email and letter stating that he no longer represented me because he was taking a job with the state government. I ultimately filed my appeal on my own and was awarded a partial disability benefit. Because I had no legal guidance, I still do not fully understand how my case was decided. Recently, I received a tax form from Social Security for benefits paid to me in 2025. Although I never heard from Mr. Dolenga again after he dropped my case, the tax form shows that he received $4,000 in attorney fees. This feels extremely unfair, given that he stopped representing me after my initial denial and provided little assistance throughout the process. Based on my experience, I would not recommend him to others seeking disability representation.
