Specialties
Active Health provides comprehensive care to anyone who is looking to obtain or regain an active lifestyle. Our medically integrated team will evaluate you to determine the underlying cause of your pain, then prescribe a treatment plan to address and correct any dysfunction that has led to your pain or injury. Our Active Health team consists of a medical doctor, nurse practitioner, physical therapist, physical therapist assistant, chiropractor, personal trainers, and a yoga instructor to provide you everything to allow us to provide you the care that you need. Our services include our proprietary form of sports medicine (which includes manual therapy to release scar tissue, corrective exercises to regain strength, kinesiotaping & Normatec vasopneumatic compression to help recovery). We also offer regenerative therapies to help any soft tissue injuries heal faster and DRX9000 Spinal Decompression to help heal degenerated, herniated & bulging discs. Our Sports Performance Labs, located inside of Active Health, identify the faulty mechanics that added stress to your body making it break down and our biofeedback tools will help retrain proper, more efficient biomechanics to prevent injury reoccurrence.
History
Established in 2005.
Active Health was founded in 2005 to provide Jacksonville and the north Florida area a different and incredibly efficient way to treat soft tissue injuries and avoid harmful cortisone injections, irreversible and (often) unnecessary surgeries and joint replacements. Our area needed a one stop shop to allow our community to obtain or regain an active way of life, so Active Health was created.
Meet the Business Owner: Jeffrey L.
Dr. Lipp grew up playing every sport and played college and arena football which came with too many injuries. With all of his injuries, he received all of the traditional treatments (PT, chiropractic, NSAIDs, cortisone, surgery). Once his playing days were over, he wanted to work with athletes and their injuries. After experiencing all of these treatments and seeing what kind of results, pros and cons that came with each provided, he felt that becoming a sports chiropractor would give him the best education to help his future patients receive the most benefits with the least amount of side effects. He went to chiropractic school, but saw that his chiropractic adjustments weren’t holding, which meant that he’d have to keep adjusting the same joint over and over. He learned that he needed to learn more to help more people and he hasn’t stopped learning. Since opening Active Health in 2005, he has been constantly evolving his system to provide the best and fastest results possible.
