When they were in the grocery store he said he was hungry so she offered to buy him soup. That was't enough - he ask her to buy him a hoagie! Really, who does that? She bought them because she wasn't sure what would happen if she didn't. Would he have left her at the store? The most recent 'angel' took her to the grocery store also. When they returned home a couple things fell out of the bag and were overlooked. Honest mistake. When mom called to get this resolved they said the products would be dropped off next day. Never happened. Next phone call they said the drivers car was stolen. What does that have to do with it? I called and spoke to the very rude owner, he was annoyed that I called to complain and told me it wasn't worth his time for a once monthly visit and she should never call again. This is a service for older people and they are not concerned about the type of service they provide? Customers are the ones paying for the service so their voice matters. I do not recommend this agency.

Dad's meds are on one side of the kitchen in 28 dated, labeled bottles (two for each day we were gone.) The dogs meds are in a daily dispenser (M-F) container next to the fridge. Quote, Caregiver, "I almost gave the dog your dad's meds. I don't know which is which." Other plainly written instructions, feed the dogs once daily. "The dogs are pooping in the house." Me: Are you feeding them once daily? "No, twice." Here is this real kicker: We come home, all windows open, AC running, dryer sheets scattered on the floor. Obviously there has a burning on the stove top which blackened the wall unit microwave above and killed it. Small melted spot, digital display frozen, unit inoperable. Blackened pan in dishwasher. When asking the manager/owner about it, he looked into it and returned telling me neither of the care givers knows what happened. Both claimed to never have used the microwave. Considering a large portion of the microwaveable vegetables I stocked up on for Dad are gone, this is a lie. So, we are out a microwave. Owner made reparations in the amount of $600 for our trouble. I could have sued him out of business. I'm glad my Dad and dogs are still alive but under no circumstances do I recommend using this outfit to care for anything you own. Parents, pets, even plants. There was dog crap hardened on the floor when we returned and there was no effort to clean up. Negative stars for this crap non-caring outfit.

The only saving grace they had were the Physical Therapist, and Occupational Therapist. They were great and usually on time. They called BEFORE their scheduled appointment if they were going to be late. We had a social worker call 1 1/2 hours after scheduled appointment to tell us she would not be coming. Then a no call, no show the next week. But when she did show up, she was very informative and brought some great information. Our loved one needing these services, and also needed blood work. They sent a different nurse than usual to draw the blood, and she was good. Second time blood work was needed to be drawn, it was crickets from them. Even though 3 phone calls were made, and the scheduled nurse came out in that 3 phone call time frame. I am thinking that the scheduled nurse might not be capable of doing this task anymore. But we had a family friend who works at a lab in Virginia that was coming to town, so she drew the blood work. How sad is it that someone that lives 200 plus miles away did the job that someone that works only 13 miles away couldn't manage to do. All the nurse did when she managed to show up was take blood pressure-pulse, and try to get new clients for her second job, at hospice and palliative care agency. Which was not a Bayada Hospice. The nurse even called our loved ones husband to ask him to fire their private home health aid, whom they have had for almost 1 1 2/ years, to hire someone from one of her organizations, even though the loved one did not qualify for hospice. This nurse obviously gets a commission from one or both of her employers. The thought is that she should do more thinking about her job requirements, because she is lacking to use any nursing skills whatsoever. I have never seen a nurse from Bayada behave like this before. Unfortunately, I've had loved ones need Bayada quite a few times in the past. This crew needs to work on their nurses. If I could give no star, I would. I will never suggest Bayada again.

On three separate occasions and three separate workers fell asleep on their overnight shift. After the first time we immediately called the Senior Helper's supervisor and she ensured us that it would not happen again. Two nights later a different worker fell asleep, and my grandmother fell out of her bed without the senior helper worker noticing. The staff at the retirement home were the ones that told my family. Again, we reached out to the supervisor and were fed the same line. The next night the senior helper's worker locked the door to my grandmother's apartment (not allowed and clearly expressed to EACH worker and their supervisor) the retirement home workers unlocked the door to do their regular checks and found the Senior Homes worker asleep on my grandmother's couch under her blanket completely asleep. This is a completely unprofessional company, and I would absolutely never trust or hire them again. If you care about your loved ones, you will NOT hire this company. Please please never hire this company or anyone associated with it. My grandmother passed away a couple days after the last incident and we did look into legal actions but were told by lawyers there was no legal case. Due to this the next best option I have is to write a review and hope that it is taken seriously.
