My neck has always been a challenge to adjust, and he's the only doctor who has consistently been able to do it successfully. I really like this chiropractor office. I still go there even though they're out of network for me! I see Dr. Josh and he takes his time to listen and ensure he's targeting the issues you're concerned with. The front office staff are helpful and nice and they've helped me reschedule as needed. I start off on the Roller table which I enjoy and can take a quick 5 min nap if I'm extra tired. Then an adjustment and if needed, electrical stimulation and heat. I was in a major car wreck back in October 2019 my car was totaled and so was car that hit me. I was in severe pain and suffering different neurological conditions. I can't say enough about how helpful medically and how professional and caring all the staff is at action spine. Dr. Bearden has been incredibly helpful. Thankfully Dr. Bearden suggested that I get an MRI done. Im so grateful that he did because it revealed I had five cervical disks, out of the seven in my spine, that were bulging due to the impact of the car accident. This is definitely major cause for alarm at any age but especially at my age of 50. I've been 100% committed to my recovery and doing the exercises and stretching outside of the chiropractic and spinal treatments. The connective tissue damage is something I am having to get deep tissue massage and specialized Myofascial bodywork to help bring my body back to where it was before the accident. Going to Action Spine & Joint made me feel like I was moving through a factory. Not really valued as a patient, just moving along the assembly line of treatments. I went weekly for about 7 weeks and noted that the pain relief from the "treatments" would last about a day or so and then it was back. I was quoted a price for the overall treatment package that was into the thousands of dollars...this was on top of my insurance payments. Since I didn't really see any lasting positive changes, I decided to stop treatment. So that should have been the end of the story. But what has prompted this review is that I continue to receive text messages from this clinic despite replying "STOP" numerous times. It has been over a year since my last visit. read more

I was happy at first, but the first thing that bothered me was the staff and Dr. Bearden don't consistently wear their masks. Next, staff forgot to give my laser treatments 4 times while the coordinator was off. I was told I had 2 more visits that then turned into 0 when my last appointment was just filling paperwork that I could have done at home instead of the 50 mile drive and wasted time gas. I didn't even want go to the last 2 visits after Dr. Bearden put me down and insulted my medical decision by saying, "I guess some people just like surgery." Really! Dr. Josh is great! This is by far the most beneficial and effective chiropractic office I've ever been to. I've been to chiropractor's from Florida to Nebraska, as well as a number locally from Franklin to Dickson. In my eyes it's all about the preparation and relaxation techniques leading up to a solid adjustment. The stretchers and rollers they put me on prior to the adjustment prepare me for being more receptive to the corrections they make to my alignment. The staff is great. They really care about your well being. Getting an appt was easy. Payment wasn't too extreme. BUT.... They're closed on Saturday's. On their business card is an emergency number. I phoned the emergency number one Saturday morning and then waited for a call back. and waited. and waited. and waited. and waited. Three weeks later, I received a phone call from them telling me to come in for a follow up visit. I also received a letter from them, the same day, telling me to come in for a follow up visit. Now I ask all of you, would you call and make an appt for a follow up visit when they never returned your call on a Saturday morning to the emergency number? And since most people are off on Saturday, would you go to a Chiropractor that isn't open on Saturdays? nuff said. read more

I'm a disabled veteran. Initially I was paying for my treatment at Action out of my pocket. During these visits I would spend at least an hour at the office receiving multiple treatments and adjustments as well stretching on my own. When the VA began paying for my treatment the service I was provided was cut down to about 15 minutes of stretching on my own, and maybe an adjustment. It was obvious what was going on because Dr. Bearden had told me that he did not like accepting the VA because of payment issues. I only went there a couple more times before reporting him to the VA (of course they didn't do anything). I would never recommend Action Spine and Joint. read more
