When I reached out to schedule lessons presuming we had a credit, I was rudely told there are NO exceptions etc etc. since I missed the window by a couple months. How truly greedy and unaccommodating to not offer credit to customers who have spent over $1K at your business. Seeing the other reviews here, Melrose would be wise to be more accommodating to earn good will and customer loyalty. Hard pass.

Anyway, Romeo was the instructor all three times. First day, he told her to drive. She was surprised and said that she did better than she thought. They took breaks at the office and was taught rules of the road. The second day was pretty much the same. The last day was spent on the streets and freeway. My daughter said that he was nice, positive, instructional and motivational. That's all a mom needs to hear! He told her what she needed to work on and to come back one more time more she takes the driving test. She is happy and confident after this experience. Well after attending Hye Traffic School, I must admit that I was pleasantly surprised with this school as I was expecting a long and boring process, for which it was anything but. The staff genuinely care about the students, the fee is reasonable and they run a quality program. During my class, the owner called the instructor and informed him that there was a woman coming in late because apparently her class from another company was canceled and she was going to admit her late and work with her after class to ensure that she was able to get credit for going. It tells you a lot about a company when they take responsibility not just only for their business but also for the mishaps of competitors, all for the benefit of the customer. All in all, I had an amazing experience, I hope that I don't ever have to repeat it, however I'm glad there's a company that puts it's students first and is willing to help people when they need it.

I remember taking lessons here when I first started out driving. The people in charge are easy to…read moretalk to and nice. The old guy who teaches you is not bad at all. Although a little impatient, he doesn't yell at you. He constantly advises you throughout the lesson when you make mistakes so you're definitely aware of them. Now my youngest brother is taking lessons from this guy, and he thinks he's a good teacher for pretty much the same reasons as mine. And they've been using toyota scions for lessons, so it's all right. The instructor liked to step out for a smoke here and there though, while on the lesson. After discussing our situations to the friendly receptionist from Pasadena Driving school, we were assigned with their most experienced driving instructor Richardo Gonzalez Silva. Upon purchase of 3 lessons package, I also emailed them my son's score sheet from his failed driving test, honestly I doubted they would even look at it. The next day, Richardo showed up 10 mins earlier at my house. To my surprise, he was well prepared, not only he already reviewed my son's score sheet, he also had plans on what to work on. My son enjoyed his time spent with Richardo, he came home with a BIG smile on his face and told me Richardo even let him get on the FWY for the first time. He regained his confidence in driving and passed his next driving test with an almost perfect score. We're very very happy with Pasadena Driving School, only regret was we didn't look into it sooner.

Less than an hour before first lesson Mr . Silva canceled. Again I asked if he was the only instructor we can book with he quickly said he can refund our money. My guess is this "school" is one man and his car...? Anyway, I guess it's not a problem for a family with an open schedule but beware, he is pushy and seems somewhat aggressive. Very unprofessional.
