This is the first time having my carpets cleaned in over 3 years! I know, I'm gross. I never thought these terrible old rags could look so great! They arrived on time! I never expect that with any service in this city. Super plus for me since I'm always on the go. They cleaned 3 rooms and a hallway carpet for $90 in less than 2 hours! I have an extremely fluffy cat and a Pomeranian so imagine my surprise when There wasn't a trace of fur in the carpet. I'm really elated, and I'll probably be using them every 6 months from now on. They don't accept credit cards, and prefer cash though, so be prepared for that. I counted off one star for that because it was a little inconvenient since HSBC is kind of far for me. read more

I originally obtained their services years ago when I lived in the Bronx on a 4th floor walk up with no street parking. Excellent Job from this very punctual, very productive company. Initially they came at the time window they said they would. Got right down to business after some small talk, and the results were amazing. I came in kinda skeptical due to the filth of my couches and mattresses, but I was floored by the results. I honestly didn't expect this good, due to the stains, and time accumulated since being there. The price was reasonable and the work was solid. First of all - on 11/21/15 I responded to an ad for the steam cleaning of 3 rooms for $79.00 that I found on CraigsList. When I called and spoke to owner of this business Scott, he advised me that they were running a 2 room special for $79.00 (surprised that he said 2 instead of 3 ~ I didn't say anything about the discrepancy between 2/3 room special offers! Scott went on to say that he could make an appointment with me for 3:30/4:30 PM that day! At 4:00 PM my phone rings and it's Scott sounding tired and out of breath as he tells me "I'm running late because the job that he's on is taking a lot longer than he anticipated (my thoughts are that things happen right ~ but if you're a pro, you know this - you expect this - you anticipate ~ it's what makes a you a "PRO!" You organize your time accordingly, make appointments, schedule your day and the customer works out a schedule around what they're advised of and agree to)! Scott advises now at 4:00 PM that he will not be able to honor the 3:30/4:30 appointment time and it will be very late before he can make it over to clean." I asked him how late and he tells me 8:00 PM ~ I told him that I needed it done that day because it was for a tenant moving in! Scott advises that he's be here no matter what! Scott promised me that he would be able to make it by 8 PM ~ no problem! At 8:30 PM I get a call and guess who! Scott says that he couldn't make it! Scott runs ad's stating: "NYC'S TOP CARPET CLEANING & UPHOLSTERY FIRM HAS AVAILABILITY TODAY" but as you can see from my statement that was false and deceptive advertising! This individual has no integrity as he makes appointments that he has no intention of honoring! It appears to me that he makes these appointments and strings the customer along with false statements as it meets his needs, not the customer! Scott had an entire day to advise me that he had too many jobs for the day and that it was time sensitive! Now what should I do with my tenant who is moving in? Simple, I gave her a discount with cash back! And as for Scott, I'll be in contact with consumer affairs on Monday digging up Scott's business license - so that I can file a consumer complaint for false advertising! CALL AND GET YOUR ACTION TODAY? 347-962-7239 Scott! The only action I witnessed was a scam! If you can't trust this guys word, why would you trust him in your home? read more

We bought two plush upholstered chairs from neighbors moving out. Nice chairs, but 10 years old and very dingy plus stained armrests. So we needed cleaners. We found Action Carpet Cleaning on Craigslist. We called and they were able to come later that day (a Sunday). We called a few other cleaners and only got voice mails. We ended up scheduling for 6pm. They called around 5pm to let us know that the job they were on was running late. They offered to show up at 7pm-7:30pm or reschedule for a different day. We went with 7pm-7:30pm. Good of them for calling us and offering to reschedule instead of just showing up late. They arrived at 7:20pm. They brought a Galaxy 2000, which looks like a little Zamboni. Pretty awesome gadget. Anyway, the two of them went to work for ~90mins. Pretty good form: laid down garbage bags to protect the floor, wiped the floor down with a mop, dumped dirty water in toilet (not the tub), and we think very thorough cleaning on the chairs. The chairs seem pretty clean now. Not perfect, but probably file perfection under 'not meant to be'. They were quite friendly throughout, very nice people. They charged $80, exactly what they said over the phone. Seems good. We are not cleaning experts, but we're happy with this experience. read more
