Action Auto Body is hands down the best auto body shop one could find. They are professional, offer high quality repairs, and have an impressive attention to customer service. I wouldn't take your car anywhere else. There is no shop more reliable.
For those of you who don't want to simply take my word for it, here's the details of my relationship with Action Auto Body and the incredible steps they took to get my car back on the road, looking and working as good as brand new:
I am from Colorado and was involved in an accident about an hour outside of Des Moines while traveling cross-country. It occurred on a Saturday and I needed to reach my destination for work on Monday. My car was un-drivable and towed to Action via my insurance. I got a call from Chad (the owner) regarding my vehicle on Tuesday of the following week describing the initial look of the damage and his plan for assessing the vehicle. Additionally he left me with his cell phone number and was always reachable via text or call, even after shop hours.
Later that week, Chad called me again to give me the estimate and talk about how he would acquire the best parts available instead of scrounging junk yards for used parts or settling for cheaply made replacements. That's when I knew the team at Action could be trusted as they had my best interests in mind.
The next week I had to return to Colorado, but the car wasn't close to being done, as some parts had not been delivered yet. I needed some things out of it to bring home, but would only be traveling through Des Moines on a Saturday, when the shop was closed. Chad was very amicable and friendly and worked out a way for someone to be there to give me access to the vehicle to get my things outside of operating hours; which is above and beyond the expectations one might have for any business that's closed.
Later the next week, some of those parts that were delivered to the shop had minor issues with them, some broken, some dinged, etc. Unlike many shops who would simply deal with the less than ideal parts, Chad called me up and told me how he would be sending them back to exchange for brand new, unbroken parts and to apologize for the delay this would cause (though no fault of his own). Again, I feel that this goes above an beyond what most shops would do; Chad and his team care much more about customer service and ownership in their work than they do making a buck, taking shortcuts, or the easier/cheaper way out.
In the next weeks, I had to travel again and needed the car to be done. Chad went out of his way to make this happen, overnighting a part and then having one of his staff members drive 3.5hrs to get it on a Saturday so the car could be finished by the time I arrived that evening. I flew in from Colorado and Chad picked me up from the airport that evening, again a testament to his outstanding customer service.
All in all, the process took 4weeks to the day of the accident, sometimes that's just the nature of things. I don't believe that this was any fault of Action, sometimes with all the moving parts that go in to fixing a vehicle it just takes time to get a good job done right. Chad took this on himself though and went out of his way to repair a part of my vehicle that was damaged by hail which had chipped the paint, free of charge.
